I'm actually quite surprised that no one started a thread on Legend of Zelda, so I thought I'd do the honors. So, what would be your favorite game in the series? How about favorite boss? Favorite tool? Favorite character? To answer my own questions:

1) Wind Waker
2) N/A
3) Bow and Arrow. :P
4) Link... <.<

Ocarina of Time for sure. There's just something about the whole game which makes it so timeless.

*Awaiting Twilight Princess...*

It's about time someone made a topic about the best games ever released! :bleh:

Anyway :

1) Majora's Mask (close to Link to the Past & Ocarina of Time=)

2) [b]Twinmold, Majora's Mask, Gyorg, Bongo-Bongo, Volvagia, Gannondorf (Yeah, I don't just have one. Lol)

3) Big Goron Sword FTW!

4) Tingle (Yeah, they made Link a retard! Wewt! :heh: )

I'll just add another one, Favorite Temple/Dungeon/Level (You get it)

5) Stone Tower Temple (It's the most creative one) or Spirit Temple (Yeah, they're similar, but I like that dry, brown type of temple. ;) )

If you haven't read my comp. thread, then you might not know that Silverelement and I are one in the same. lol Ganondorf in Wind Waker was fun to fight, that's for sure. Nothing too difficult; the only hard part was that Zelda had to hit your shield with the Hero's Bow... <.< And... Fighting Ganondorf and having Zelda have to hit you at the same time is rather... tricky... She kept missing me when I was in direct line of fire, too... >.>

Wow, yeah Zelda games are probably the best rpgs ever. I've played:

1. A Link to the Past

2.Ocarina of Time

3.Link and the Minish Hat ( I think thats what its called, please someone correct me if thats not it.)

4. Wind Waker

5. Twilight Princess

6. Four Swords Adventure

7. Majoras Mask ( I didn't really like this one because of the time limit, Zelda games should be savored not be rushed!)

I'm currently playing Twilight Princess. Its a really great game, but I like Wind Waker the best because it was the first Zelda game I had ever played. Then from there I went on to play other ones, and my best friend likes them alot too.

Favorite game: Wind Waker

Favorite Character: Link (of course)

Favorite Tool: Too many to count!

Favorite Dungeon: I don't really know, but the fire dungeon from Twilit Princess

Favorite Boss: I'm not sure yet.

Silverflame
December 29th, 2006, 12:08 am
Wow, that's a lot. I've only played Link to the Past, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Legend the 4 Sword Adventures. Oh, and, since you kindly asked, it is Minish Cap, not Hat. Anyway, to add unto my answers, my fave dungeon would have to be... The Wind Temple in Wind Waker.

2) Dark Link (??? water temple)
3) Megaton hammer

The Megaton Hammer was an awesome tool. I can't believe I forgot about it. Though, his signature hookshot that he gets in virtally all(?) the games. Since I haven't played ever single last one(would take a life-time(LoZ: TP is very vast and so was LoZ: WW... <.<) I wouldn't know... :P

I thought there was a Zelda thread. And it was like, 10 pages long! Well, I don't care. I'm not digging that up. <_<

Favorite game: Zelda 3 (A Link to the Past) The reason being I beat it when I was three and it still isn't old!

Favorite Boss: That's a toughie...Either Ganon or Majora. The end ones are always the best.

Favorite Tool: Bunny Hood!

Favorite Character: Happy-Mask Salesman. Don't ask.

I never played Ocarina, so I won't know. =P Ganon in 4 Swords Adventure wasn't hard at all... I had the Roc's Feather with me. For some reason, my little bro complained it was hard... <.< Oh, and ten pages for a thread is nothing; I checked out GameFAQs and on just Twilight Princess alone, it has 143 pages worth of threads... <.<;;

Yeah, it got me a lot, but I had to get through it in 15-25 mins. If I wanted to make a record for myself--I accomplished it, Lol. It took a lot of playing through Zelda to finally memorize the temple entirely. x_x

Milchh
December 29th, 2006, 06:32 pm
Hah, I'll bet you you'll say "FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!!" like six times before you're done with it.

The Water Temple is usually the reason why people play Ocarine of Time once, then won't play try and beat it again until they say, "Screw it, I'll try the Water Temple again." Lol.

Anyway, I've been wanting to play Majora's Mask (which I started last night) again, but it's so hard, because last time I played it (like 5 months ago) I used the guide to finally get EVERYTHING. Now that I know about everything in the game (and have already beaten it three times) I feel like I'm a spoiler machine for myself. :heh: I try not to think about things, but I have too good of a video gaming memory, as well as a musical one. Lol.

... Wow... I enjoy a challenge. Know where I might be able to find it or what counsel it's for? I didn't pay attention to Ocarina of Time, but if I remember - which is faint, since my friend just brought it up randomly a year ago - it's for the GBA, right? As for Majora's Mask, the N64, right? Please and thankies.

Milchh
December 29th, 2006, 06:49 pm
Ocarina of Time is for N64, and Majora's Mask is for N64 also.

I think there's some Ocarine of Time: Master Quest for GC that I've heard of, but I have never seen it in stores, or even seen gameplay of it--but I know it's real, my friend says he has it.

Silverflame
December 29th, 2006, 06:55 pm
lol Okay. Luckily, I have a N64. I'm not sure where it went though: I think it might be back in it's box since we don't use it anymore. lol Well, thanks for the hint. I'll be sure to look for it the next time I visit Gamestop or something. ;P The most recent LoZ is really, really vast. I love the fact that you have a horse in this one. If you didn't, you would have to spend days walking around and around and around... x400

Silverflame
December 30th, 2006, 03:02 pm
Okay. It's not hard to keep my head clear. My little brother was doing the Lakebed Temple in Twilight, and he was like, "Help me!!! The guide doesn't make sense!". So I finally gave up and I nearly got to the boss without the guide. =P It seems like the Zelda team wanted to make the game much harder, 'cause apparently, this water temple is just as hard, if not a bit easier.

December 30th, 2006, 04:04 pm
Hey but isn't there a gamecube version of all the old (well some of the old games) Zelda games, because my friend, when he got his gamecube he got a free version of those old Zelda games. Which are as follows: The Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda 2, The Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. Believe me there is one, just go down to your local video game store and find it. It's certainly at mine, what about yours?

I also have another question. When you guys play Zelda games are you in a rush to defeat it, or do you like to savor it and try to find all the heart pieces then defeat it?

I like to try to find all the heart pieces before I go up against Ganondorf (sp?).

Noir7
December 30th, 2006, 04:06 pm
@pianocrazy: I like to complete the game in a normal fashion. That means neither getting 100%, nor rushing through it. The second time I play it, I try to get all items and pieces of heart.

December 30th, 2006, 04:14 pm
With the iron boots? Hmm, now why would you do that, just to see if you could beat him while wearing the iron boots or something, because you can't hardly walk in those things, or was it necessary to beat him like that, I doubt it, but if you were in the fire temple in Twilight princess then you'd need them to beat the mini-boss. I just don't know.

Silverflame
December 30th, 2006, 04:27 pm
Yeah... Beating Ganandorf with Iron Boots sounds fun... <.<;; I wonder... Nah... I overwrote my Wind Waker finish file with the New Game+, so, yeah... lol And I'm too lazy to do my second file... I mean, I'm done with evrything except finding the Tri-Force shards... -_-;; I'm too lazy to traverse the sea, find the maps, get Tingle to read them, go back, get more Rupees, find the freaking Tri-force.... You get the idea... -_-;;

@pianocrazy90: just like, Noir7, I try to just finish the game in normal speed and mess around A LOT when I:

A) Get bored for no reason (and I did this a lot in Wind Waker)
B) Loss my way in a certain dungeon or...
C) Just don't feel like going on with the game.

In Twilight, in the town of Kakariko, I just try to hit post that Malo is standing next to without the Hawkeye combo and move around trying to hit it from different positions: High; low. Near; very far... I should try while underwater behind the spring.... <.< I've kept a count on my hits: 30/34... My little bro used to say that I was a horrid sharp-shooter(although he had the Hawkeye combo when he hit the pole, so he didn't get the heart piece), but he stopped about that when I hit on my first try without the Hawkeye combo. ;P

Unfortunately I am not able to beat temples in 15 minutes like Mazeppa,

Well, I still hold (that I've heard) the best record for beating Ocarina of Time entirely in roughly 3 1/2 Hours. (Idk, like 3:40?).

Yeah, sounds impossible, but I went through the game with the guide about 3 times, then 4 without untill I finally remember everything. Man, that was like 3-4 summers ago; was a Zelda filled summer.

I finally beat it in that time (3 1/2 hrs.) the 10th time I've ever played it. ^.^

EDIT : But looking at your guys' comments on playing the game for speed or for the "savor." Like Noir7 said, I usually just play through, and get those side-quests that seem obvious enough to do, and search around, but I don't always think about 100% it the first time around. It's the second or third time where I would get everything, and like Ocarina, whore the game's entirety and get some huge record for it. Lol.

Silverflame
December 31st, 2006, 06:56 pm
Wow... You're a pretty hardcore LoZ gamer, aren't you Mazeppa? I've all ready wasted 24 (maybe 23) hours in Twilight, and I'm only at the Lakebed Temple. (Not like I'm lost or anything, I just like to goof off... ^_^) And in Wind Waker, I finished within 100 hours 'cause I went to random parts of the world, looking for that fish so I could practice my sharp-shooting, AND THEN finishing off Ganon, whom, by the way, was not hard at all... Well, if you add the bonus of the Iron Boots, then MAYBE he would kill me... Luckily, I had 4 fairies with me, so yeah...

Ha! I was waiting for such a remark by you, Noir. :)

Anyway, I need $40 more untill I get my gaming pack.

Also, if it's cheap, I'll hassle my mom or whoever for some extra money for Windwaker. It's the only one that I've never really played. x_x My brother played it and said it was cool, but the feeling (mainly the look) threw the entire feeling of Zelda off, and when I saw it and played like the first 20 mins of it, it didn't feel like a Zelda at all.

Still, it's a Zelda, and I need to beat it--it's like the Second LoZ--except prolly easier. :heh:

Still, it's a Zelda, and I need to beat it--it's like the Second LoZ--except prolly easier.

That's one of the reasons it doesn't feel like zelda; it's one of the most disgustingly easy games ever created. I killed myself halfway through the game because I was curious as to what the game over screen looked like.

If it hadn't been so easy, it would've been 100 times better. XP

pianocrazy90
January 6th, 2007, 07:26 pm
Aww, It was still a good game, come on. I must admit, yeah it was easier compared to the others, but it still was a Zelda game. Oh, by the way Windwaker is around $20. So you should be able to buy it, because its like almost 4 years old. But it still was a cool game because you still get a musical type (well maybe not musical, because it looks like and is conducting balliton(Sp?) that conducters use in orchestras) that changes day to night, the direction the wind is blowing, and transporting you different places on the map. And also, Windwaker did something no other Zelda game did, had the whole world on a big ocean. So you riding in a boat, not riding Epeona(sp?), which is sad, but it just gives you a taste of something a little bit different. A plus there were many islands to explore in your free time. So thats just my statement about the game.

Btw Four Swords Adventure was way easier then Windwaker. Well maybe not way easier, but it was always straightforward in where you had to go next. Well ok maybe not always, but you get the picture.

@ Silverflame- Well SSB is off topic. Link, Zelda, and Sheik were in those games, but it has nothing to do with the story in the Zelda games. SSB was a beaten up free for all battle royale, it really had no story, unless you talk about story mode. That just sounds ironic, well never mind then.

The WEIRDEST Glitch from TP: *SPOILERS ON THE ENDING*

If you use the fishing rod when going against Ganondorf in his sword form, it distracts him, then you can attack him right after  . I found this out the 2nd time I went against him.

Here's how it works:

After Ganondorf uses a sword attack (of any kind, excluding the chance) use the fishing rod. He then looks toward the way you shot the fishing rod at, then you can strike  .

Okay, thanks for the hint, Clarinetist.

Just before going to the City in the Sky(a.k.a Occuo) you have to go back to Kakoriko(is that spelled right) and talk to one of the members of the group(forget his name). If you save the game and quit then load again, you won't be able to leave the room. For one thing, you can't transform into a wolf because 'someone' is in there, although he isn't. Another is that you can't go up the rope until you've talked to him, but he isn't there; accordingly, when you try to leave, he will stop you from going anywhere.

Stumped me for hours, untill my brother told me what I needed to do (the middle of chandalier) and his friend had to tell him, which he even looked on the internet for it. Lol.

Now I'm stumped in a part at the Temple of Time. Can't find how to remove a Beamos from a switch that I need lifted up. x_x

So far I got 12 hearts, and bought that magic armor--for nothing; complete waste of everything. Lol

OH MY GOD!

Ok, this (Twilight Princess) is truly the BEST Zelda that the world has ever witnessed!! Besides graphics and such, it is the best plot, puzzles, everything!!

Took my 47 Hours to beat it, now I have to complete it.

Needed to COMPLETE it :

I need 11 More bugs, and 4 More hearts--I guess I need to go fishing for the biggest fishies out there too. Lol

Seriously, I would wait another three to four years for the next Zelda to come out if it'l be this good. :heh:

The City In the Sky is probably my favorite dungeon, solely for...

...that puzzle that requires you to grapple from the ceiling from the 2nd floor and lower yourself to the 1st floor so you can get that giant metal testical.

Or what ever you call it. I was like, wow holy shit. THAT's original.

oh, and, warning, spoiler.

I heard--
A rumor than only the STAR game and some things at Lake Hylia are the only mini-games in the game. Not many--hah. It's cool getting a 100-Bow Quiver too.

I'll list them all here:

1. Fishing
2. The "marble" game; to get to it, go to the fishing hole, get in the cabin/house, look to your left, and stare at some maze-like thing. This is the hardest out of all of them. :\
3. The "fruit pop" game; what you do is:
Go to the cannon guy in Lake Hylia.
Facing the cannon (that you use to get to the Sky Temple), head over there. Transform into a wolf over here.
Look around here for "bird whistles". Press A next to one. This bird will come. Everything else should be self-explanatory.4. The STAR game
5. Warp to Snowpeak (the top). As Link (human), talk to the "big guy". He will ask you to race him (snowboarding :)). After you beat him, you have to beat his wife at it (it took me about 2 hours to beat her) :P. It's not as easy as it looks.

Then there's getting the sinking lure after getting a ton of fish. Wow... I know a lot about this game :P. Biggest Fish= 30 lbs. I have the secret arrow item ("Hawkeye"). If you want to learn how to get this, let me know.

I have all upgrades: bombs, and arrows. I have 3 bomb bags, and 4 bottles.

Or, in simpler words, I have everything I can get in the game except 21 poes :P .

Favorite LoZ Game:
Tie between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. Ocarina of Time was... well... it was so epic to me, it'll always have a place in my heart... However, Twilight Princess was... wow. To awesome for words.

Least Favorite Boss:
Since I can't think of a favorite, I'll tell you my least favorite. Umm... The boss to Arbitors Grounds. Yeah. Him and Bongo Bongo. I just hate them so much.

Favorite Item:
Bow and Arrow. I'm a master archer in every game. (who needs the hawk eye? I sure don't.)

Least Favorite and Favorite Temple:
I HATED the sky temple in TP, Level 1 temple in ALttP, and the Shadow Temple. I love the Fire Temple in OoT.

I'm going to ask for some help in TP regarding heart peices:

The fortune teller showed me a picture of an old man standing in hyrule town, and he asks you to donate 50 or 30 rupees to him... how do you get the heart peice from him? I've donated sooo much to him... So I'm lost with that. Help?

Even though i'm not really far into TP, I don't really find this game all that great. IMO, rather over-hyped. To be honest, the only Zelda I really like is LTTP, Windwaker was rather good too, Ocarina of Time was good as well.
Zelda, imo is rather repetitive with a weak story-line. At least the gameplay makes up for it.

@ mazeppa: Its biased. ^^

I just completed the game, and I thought the ending was really sad, and it almost made me cry. :(

(plot spoiler warning)

It was funny how midna told link he didn't have anything else to say because she was so beautiful. XD Talk about self-centered.

I didn't get why she broke the mirror of twilight though, because she was sad at the fact of never seeing link again, then zelda tells her they can see each other as long as the mirror exists, then midna goes and breaks it! WTF? I didn't get that at all, but it still almost made me cry. I am still figuring out how she broke it with a tear though. @_@

Although I have to disagree when you guys say the plot sucked. I thought the plot was pretty awesome, but it could have been longer.

Battling Ganondorf in this game was really fun... XD I really can't input much more than that, I don't believe... XD

Midna probably broke the Twilight Mirror because she knew that the events that took place in the game might reoccur if she hadn't stopped the connection between the real world and the Twilight one. That's just my thought.

Alrighty, for those who think the gameplay was way too easy and a walk in the park (a some... 99.99% of the playerbase out there), I've devised a simple method to making the game harder by leaps and bounds.

Simply equip yourself the Magic Armer with 0 rupees, and enjoy the sluggish rate at which you move. Iron boots if you can't afford that piece of junk. Now, while moving at slower than a snail's pace, try to beat the game.

I totally took out Ganondorf with this armor on.

hahahaha, yeahhhhh. I'm getting sick with this director's easiness on the players. We need Miyamoto back at the helm; the first zelda easily kicks my ass. Link to the Past is also pretty hard sometimes. Ocarina of time had a fine difficulty level. The last two zeldas have been way too easy. XP

If you all remember Gannondorf saying something like, "This isn't over.." then showing Zant twitching his neck--and Gannondorf dies, something seems really odd and unfinished (the reason why I was unsatisfied with the ending--very ambigious). Try using the fishing rod against Ganondorf in the last battle in Hyrule Field--quite funny.

By the way, that was Zant's neck snapping. I think it's supposed to mean that one can't live without the other. It may have been suicide, and it may not have been. But I know what you mean...it seems sorta incomplete. You never actually see what happens to Ganondorf...

Long story...

Nintendo once thought that that CDs would be the future of gaming. Sony (the maker of PlayStation) also thought the same thing. So Nintendo and Sony merged together to make 3 Zelda Games, the titles being "Zelda's Adventure", "Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon", and "Link: The Faces of Evil". These were the poorest games in all of the Zelda series, and technically, they're not part of the series because Sony did most of the work on it. This is also why Sony is not with Nintendo (obviously).

Here's some YouTube examples:

"Link: The Faces of Evil": http://youtube.com/watch?v=bNpLXo55yfw

"Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon": http://youtube.com/watch?v=BaHlUlWHNTo

"Zelda's Adventure": http://youtube.com/watch?v=3O_ZPR2q7cg

What was very weird about "Zelda's Adventure" is that you played as Zelda (yes, the princess), and only Zelda. I can honestly laugh at these :P. + they're sort of dumb...

Well, how I earn money: Sometimes I go into a dungeon pretty much broke and come out with a full wallet...

I'm in the desert dungeon place...and I'm stuck...X_X

The ghost part is a rip-off of the forest temple in OOT!!!!!
Oh yeah, I've noticed a lot of similarities in the first part of OOT and TP:
1. Link is growing up in the forest area of the game.
2. He learns that he is the "chosen one", and goes off to save the forest.
3. Dungeon no. 1 (forest)
4. He goes to Kakariko Village.
5. You can buy the Hylian Shield for the first time.
6. He goes to Death Mountain, where he meets the Gorons. He goes off to save them.
7. Dungeon no. 2 (fire)
8. He goes to Zora's Domain and goes off to save the Zoras.
9. Dungeon no. 3 (water)
10. It rains. Bad stuff happens.
11. Link meets Zelda. Zelda tells Link to get the Master Sword.
12. Link gets Master Sword.
13. Link goes to a dungeon with four Poes that you have to kill and light four flames by killing them.

MAJOR ending spoiler below! People who haven't beaten the game have been warned! (Don't let curiosity killl the cat! XD)

I kinda thought the ending was funny, because he was THIS close to getting the triforce, and as he's talking to zelda and link, daphnes comes and gets the triforce first. XD Although, the way he died was kinda funny too, considering link stuck the master sword in his head and he then turned to stone.

Anyway, you really can't have a zelda game without ganon dying, as he does in almost every game. (except for ALTTP and MC where the final bosses aren't ganon. :shifty:)

But it was a waste of a great sword...

Technically, Gannon didn't die in OoT. He was sealed away. And you forgot MM in your list of Ganon-less Games.

Go very slowly. The level(s) with the ramps are the hardest parts >.< . When you speed up at the ramps, press the opposite direction immediately. For example, if you had to speed up in the up direction to get across a ramp, press down as soon as you reach the ending of that ramp.

No...

At that Gerudo Mesa (place). Right at that warping spot, there's like a giant structure on the ground, if you haven't moved it yet. If you haven't moved it, get Midna to warp it to that one bridge to the mid-northeastern part on the map. There are 50 floors, so good luck ^_^.

I believe I know where that is. Yesh, I beat the game, so I've moved the structure. I just need to borrow the game from my cousin again. <_<

It's for the reason why I'm still sketchy about spending the money on getting the Master Quests. They could still be pretty easy, since I've played the Zelda series since I was like 4. .the Zelda games all have patterns. x_x Wish they got really hard so like no one could beat them in the first week like everyone did with the last few titles.

I've played Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. All I'll say is that it's generally the same thing, just that you see tougher enemies in the general overworld (basically, tougher enemies outside of bosses/mini-bosses).

Has anyone ever beaten "Adventure of Link" (Zelda II)? I'm still trying to get to the last temple x_x.

Jump, then use the sword in a downward motion. Basically, press down when jumping. Or just run as fast as you can from them. :heh: Or just repeatedly hit the sword up and down.

I'm really loving the Ocarina of Time: Master Quest!! It's actually giving me quite a challenge, but it hasn't actually "stumped" me yet. Here's an approx. of what I've spent on each of the dungeons/temple (so far, hehe)

Inside the Deku Tree: 40 to 50 mins
Inside of Dodongo's Cavern: 1hr to 1hr & 10 mins
Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly: 1hr & 30-40 mins

Forest Temple: 2 hrs

These are all approximate, and are probably guessed more time on them than less; however, I was really surprised when a Big Deku Baba was in the Deku Tree, and it totally killed me (only death so far, damn it-Lol). I'm gonna go inside the three lesser dungeons (I have to tools) and get some hidden stuff, and also finish off my side-quests and get the Big Goron Sword. ^.^

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, I recommend the Master Quest for all OoT whores like myself. XD

If you want something more difficult, try it. ^_^ (Note that "more" is italicized.) As Mazeppa mentioned, it's not the toughest game in the world, it's just a tad more difficult.

The only difference I noticed were a few enemies that would appear here and there to make things harder, i.e.

(Enemy spoiler)

2 Beamoses and 2 Iron Knuckles in the entrance of Ganon's Tower. :0

(I believe some of the puzzles were switched, too.)

So, it is more difficult. Otherwise, everything else is basically the same.

@Master Quest Topic- Although the layout of the temples are the same, the puzzles are little less obvious at times. . .I know that Twilight Princess was horrible with these, so I am happy that the master quest actually makes me think outside the box a bit. I think all OoT people should play Master Quest, just to prove how awesome of a game that was; and even if you *despise* adding/taking away from the greatness, at least humor Nintendo. :heh:

@DX- I've played Awakening: DX, but I can't remember what it was on. Lol. Also, on the topic of THE best Zelda (Link's Awakening) notice how the collector's edition on the GameCube had all the *classic-esqe* Zelda's but No. 3. . .No. 2 isn't even a Zelda game; if it's considered by anyone, it's blasphemy of the LoZ series. Right, enough about the craptastic CD-i adventures of Nintendo. That'll teach them to mess with Philips (manufacturer of the CD-i system, not Sony).

Yeah, the "intro" is quite long before you start to actually do stuff, but when you start it's a little like Ocarina of Time.

Have fun with it Angelic; and just a word of advice, try to find as many *things* as you can before you beat the game. . .it'l work our for a better feeling. ^_^

By the way, about those CDI zelda games. Apparently they were the result of a deal between Nintendo and Philips after the two failed to create a CD add-on for the SNES. Somesort of compensation towards Philips. Philips then wanted to use the AMV and interactive features of CD-i, but they outsourced the animation to Russians and they hired some really lousy voice actors. Good formula for a crappy game.

I hated getting the Big poes in OoT. Some were too easy Like the one By Lon-Lon Ranch and others were way too hard, like The one by Gerudo Valley.

About my favorite Zelda game? I think I'll change it to MM. Although I still feel it's kind of pointless (since it really has nothing to do with Ganon and such, a sort of side quest, if you will), I really liked the feeling of urgency that the clock creates, and the fact that the overall feel is much darker than OoT (Just look at the boss's face on the third stage of the Majora's Mask Battle. Horror!)

Another question; does anyone here play the games with cheats (via gameshark)? Some people can't stand them, others cling to them. My opinion is that everyone should try to play through the games without cheats first, then have a second go, with, if they so desire, cheats. A good recomendation for using cheats; If you have an N64 system and the original cartridge, it's legal to use an emulator and a ROM file to play your game. That way you preserve you cartridge. If the cheats mess up a Cart, you have to buy a new one. If they mess up a ROM on a computer,
you get a new ROM (and delete the old one).

Other than using the "100 skulltula" cheat for Orcarina of Time (no gameshark needed), I've never really used any other kind of cheat. Zelda games aren't really that hard, but there was no way I was going to hunt down 100 skulltulas one by one. I only did the cheat once, even the cheat seemed to long and pointless to me considering what you get out of it so I would completely ignore the whole skulltula quest each time I replayed the game.

I love the zelda series, but not enough to do that one side quest.

isantop
August 15th, 2007, 02:57 pm
Yeah, I know what you mean. And, like half of them are in dungeons.

I don't use cheats that help the player, I use ones like "Moon jump" and "Warp modifier" I once tried the warp moidfier cheat to warp to the top of ganon's tower as a kid. Then if froze. I guess the games doesn't have code for stuff like that.

Zeldaaaa! My favourite game ever!! :D
Well, except from Kingdom Hearts II but that's only because I love the Organization XIII <.<;;;

When it comes to LoZ, I've played...
- Wind Waker
- Twilight Princess
- Minish Cap
- The Legend of Zelda (duh XD)
- Ocarina of Time
- Oracle of Ages
- A Link to the Past

My favourite game of these has to be Wind Waker, I think... It was that game which got me stuck on LoZ =3 But Twilight Princess is a masterpiece as well, soo... Those two then

My favourite character of ALL is (of course) Link. Since he's the hero and such... And he looks hot as hell in TP O.O;; Okay, sorry, I'm an expert when it comes to being a fan-girl
But then again, I looove Quill from Wind Waker =3 He's so fun. And Vaati from Minish Cap is also a favourite :)

Favourite tool... I do have a thing for the Double Clawshot in TP. It's fun to be Spider-Man :shifty: And the Spinner!! I got a laughing fit the first time I was going to use that one 8D

My favourite dungeon iiis... Palace of Twilight :D It's fun with the shining sword. And Zant is fun to kill XD I also like Arbiter's Grounds.

My favourite boss is Ganondorf himself from Twilight Princess :shifty: I think I've killed him ten times or so, just for the fun of it XD

I've been a Zelda fan since the NES (although I never played the second one, some tell me that's a good thing!) My favourite is probably OOT. That game blew me away when I first played it, I played it over and over and over! But there hasn't been a Zelda game that I haven't loved.

My fave weapon is the Bow and Arrows. I've always loved the shooting games, and it's so fun aiming at far off enemies.
Fave dungeon? I'm going to say the Sky Temple from TP, just because it's the freshest n my mind. I loved the trickiness of it, and I wish the rest of the game was the same degree of difficulty.

I did love TP, but felt there was something missing. I think it was a little too easy, I'm not sure if this is just because I'm getting too used to how Zelda games work from playing so many of them. It just seems that there's usually a 'big neon light' pointing to where you have to go next! I like a game to be tricky, the kind that makes you want to throw your controller! I am yet to test the sturdiness of the Wiimote..

I must say though, that the final battle in TP was epic. A brilliant combination of Zeldaness.

Can't wait for Phantom Hourglass :D
