I'm playing the piano. My favorite pieces are Fur Elise, Czardas, Sonatina in C Major. How about you? Share your insights!:P

My favourite piano piece is "Sorgens Kammer" from Dimmu Borgir.
It is not that hard to play but I like it, the mood... ^^
"Für Elise" is also a very interesting piece but I've played/heard it too often.

I've played Für Elise way too much, too! Although I can never seem to remember how to play the major section...it was one of my favorite pieces when I was younger. For violin, I've always loved J.S. Bach's Concerto for Two Violins (known as the Bach Double to a lot of Suzuki violin students), and I couldn't wait until I got to the end of book 4 so I could play it, but now I'm on book 6 and know both parts...

I also love playing To Zanarkand from FFX Piano Collections, especially the part with the fast arpeggios in the left hand...

Yeah, agree.
Zanarkand is really nice, easy to play and memorize, the only thing is mislike about it is the name.
When I played "To Zanarkand" in front of some friends, they asked me piece' name and I told them that it was actually called "To Zanarkand" but they were like "What ? Zahnarst?"

I'd love to play to Zanarkand, alas I lack a piano :heh: . I like alot of Dimmu Borgir too.
Mmm out of all music my favourite song at the moment is probably Fear of the Dark (Iron Maiden). But piano wise I really like "Julia" (Uematsu).

Hey, try to put the composers, because for things like "Sonatina in C," there are like millions of those.

Some of my favorite songs are John Williams songs, like "Luke and Leia" from star wars.

Favourite pieces?

The Rite of Spring - Igor Stravinsky
Le Tombeau de Couperin - Maurice Ravel
Sczeherezade (or Scheherezade, however you spell it) - Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov
L'Apres Midi d'Un Faune (Orchestral version) - Claude Debussy

There will be more, but that's all I can think of for now.

Sheherezade (my friend is named this, so I know.

I know half the people spell it this way, but in Rimsky-Korsakov's original score, he spelt it 'Sczeherezade'. But anyways...

Yep, I know that :P (the trombone part is bad). I have the full score of it. But it will help me with arranging for a concert band. ^_^

What's sort of sad is that the level of playing is "Very Easy" :\.

EDIT: Now that I'm looking at the score... yes, the trombone part is VERY bad. It only plays some harmonies :bleh:, and you can only hear the Flute/Piccolo, Clarinets, and Trumpet. I have a professional recording of this :P .
