I don't know about that. I think you can buy a chip for that.

yes, it's possible... but like what Amari said you have to check the manual.. but if you really want to learn get yourself a real teacher you'll learn alot more than you could than glowing2x keys would..
there are even interactive software for the pc that needs a keyboard so one could learn to play the keyboard

Yup! My teacher uses Jumpstart software before. And it's very effective. I think you can also try it if you want to learn.:shifty:

wow glowing key pianos?
never heard of those before... well thats just me =)
I would think its highly probably though since there are much more advanced musical technologies today...
the only part is the thing about the midi files... finding a piano which can both read and "teach" you the midi file would be somewhat hard to find... in my opinion =)
but good luck with that...
oh another problem may be the fingering...meaning the way you play the keys with your fingers...it may seem confusing with just glowing keys
ps. Happy New years ! :)

Are you talking about a player piano?

like the piano should already have like 80 songs that will teach u note by note by glowin the keys that needs to be played, i felt that u can plug it in ur comp, and send the midi file there, being another song adding the list of songs u can learn.

My friends one can. If you send a midi file to the keyboard the keys light up to show you the notes. Dont know if it works for anything other than piano though.

Casio has such a digital piano, but as far as I know it works with floppy disks.

I'm not very fond of glowing keys - those instruments are very primitive in my opinion, they don't have dynamic sensitive keys and their keyboards are shorter. In any case you get for what you pay.
Regarding midi upload - read manual before buying.

Roland digi-pianos are by far the best IMO... especially if you're planning on using it with your computer.

Rolands are good, but very expensive.
My personal preference is Yamaha. I feel better if the firm produces both kind of instruments (acoustic and electronic). Clavinova is for reach people. P-140 is very good. And Portable Grands are good enough for most players.

I have the Casio CTK-800 and it lets you transfer the midi file to the keyboard. Some files take some editing in order to see the keys on the keyboard display. I'd reccomend using Anvil Studio to edit the midi to your liking (it's free!). I'm sure the higher end keyboards that allow you to transfer midis have much better performance, so get the best you can :)
