Hi transcribers and others,

I know this subject is always something which comes up but never really realized, but this time I'm seriously thinking about it: Creating a Transcriber Center, specialized for Asian sheet music (anime, video games, jpop, kpop, cpop). I'm talking about this here to gather the main needs and also your opinions about that.
But before, an "état des lieux" (assessment in the english dict lol):

As everybody see, transcribers use the forums to fulfill sheet music requests. There are several active forums for that, the main ones are:
- Ichigos forum (this one)
- Animes Scores forum
- GamingForce forum / The Concert Hall
- SODA Sheet Music (for Asian pop especially)

Maybe there are other active forums for sheet music requests, but I don't know them.

Anyway, I noticed it was a mess to know who transcribed what, who is transcribing what, who wants to transcribe what. You multiply with the number of forums and threads. So there can be several transcribers who work on the same sheet music!

So transcribers need to have a common place to keep track of these transcriptions: Sheet music in progress, Which transcriber works on this sheet music, and the forums related to this, and more...

My will is to build this center, and it's not idyllic.
The rule is that each transcriber has a login user account which can have several transcriber names associated(because 1 transcriber is associated to 1 website where he has sheet music: he can host his sheets in different websites)
For one transcriber name, you have a list of sheet music, and other informations. (I already coded that, you can look on it in SODA Sheet music).
Transcription Projects could be launched by Anime title/Jpop artist/VideoGame name associated with a Title of song. A transcription project can be created by a transcriber. Additional transcribers can also join the project.
And the most important: the projects will list the links to the websites (forums) where the sheet music transcription is discussed. It means for example, for the project Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! - Sore ga ai deshou, you will see the link(s) to the forum(s) where the transcriber(s) discuss the project (and eventually the sheet music).

With this functionality, for a sheet music request, you will check if the project exists in this center: if it exists (in state of 'request', 'in progress' or 'terminated'), you go to the links which talks about the project and eventually contribute. if not, you create the project and talk about it in the forum of your choice.
At the end of the project, the sheet music should be hosted in a website and indexed in the search engine to complete the flow.

Sorry for this long thread, but I would like to know your suggestions, your ideas, your criticism, because I don't want to work for me only, but for all the transcribers! And this project WILL be realised :)

@Josh: Good search field for your master index, great work man ;)
