This game is sorta...childish I guess, as much as Mario I would think. It seems not too many people know of it, but for those who do, what are your thoughts on it?

Personally, these two games are one of my favorites; it has good music, good graphics(for its time), fun gameplay, an interesting storyline, lots of new enemies, dozens of challenges, and it makes me want to come back for more. I've beaten both of these games at least 4 times each, and its pretty easy to do, well, actually in Banjo-Tooie I'm stuck on one puzzle peice, and have 89. That one is REALLY hard to get.

Please forgive me bad paragraphs; I'm sorta hyper and I'm not thinking too clearly.

Banjo Kazooie was easily one of the best games on N64. However, I think Tooie was less then spectacular.

The music in Kazooie was memorable (I still hum that tune), the dialgoue was top notch, graphics were great for the time, and it was enjoyable. I completed everything and collected all Music Notes, Jiggies and Jingos I think they are called. Flying round as the bee was priceless.

Tooie, however failed to recognise the secrets shown at the end of Kazooie. And even though I think they did appear in the game, they weren't as great as Kazooie made them out to be. The multiplayer was shitty and rather boring, the story was hardly an extension of Kazooie at all, more like just a mimic. The game felt very stale, and hardly have the life of the first game.

They were definitely enjoyable but they seemed too fetch-questy for me. I wasn't ever all that fond of Rare's 3d platforming style. They definitely did better with it than with Donkey Kong 64 though. I think you may be wrong about not many people knowing about them though as combined, they sold about 2.2 million units.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Rare does with the upcomng GBA incarnation of the series. It's kind of funny that indirectly, Microsoft is making money from Nintendo.

I thought Tooie was a lot better than Kazooie. I was also upset that they didn't show the secrets that Banjo Kazooie showed at the end.

However, I felt that Tooie was a worthy sequal. For one, it had good music in it just like Banjo Kazooie did. Next, it had all the movies, and some really neat new ones. They gave the story a nice twist, though I guess you didn't like it that much. It gave new territory to look thorugh, yet still you could somewhat explore the old territory. Graphics were just as good. Pretty much, it had everything Banjo-Kazooie had(moves and sound-wise) plus new things.

I liked multiplayer, but I can understand how it could be annoying.

I didn't care much for the two games; they both had intresting aspects, but both of them felt like a Mario 64 mirror.
