Ok...i find myself sitting here, at home. I bought the entire Eva series online a few days ago and watched it with a friend. I had some spare money to spend at the mall today so i figured i'd buy End of Evangelion... i came right home at watched it...and after watching that movie...well all i can say is that i'm left speechless. When i think about it, I would really like to know what happens after the end of that movie...but really i guess that would take away the beauty of it (i mean come on, we don't always need things to be told, do we?).

My biggest question really i guess would have to be, and if you have not seen the series and intend to... you may not want to read my question and the response posts, but my question is, What does Asuka mean at the end of EoE when she says to Shinji "How disgusting"?

Well, i'm fairly new to anime, and don't have much money to spend, but i was just wondering if any of you could recommend a good series. I already own Cowboy bebop, Evangelion (Obviously, hehe), Trigun, and Outlaw star...i've thoroughly enjoyed watching these series with a few friends.

Cowboy bebop - have on DVD and saw (good)
Evangelion - have on fansubs and saw (good, but hard to understand the end)
Trigun - have on fansubs and saw (good and funny)
Outlaw star - never saw

i recommend Love Hina and Chobits, that is, if you like to watch comedies.

if u want long series, watch Naruto, Inu-Yasha, Groove Adventure Rave.

if u want short series, watch ....actually...i dont think i have any short series...

Well, I haven't seen Evangelion ( :eek: ) but I do have some recommendations~! ^^-

- Chrno Crusade (Action, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Science-Fiction)
- Full Metal Panic! (action, comedy...)
- Fruits Basket (err, kinda..cute-ish, comedy, drama...)
- Orphen (action-adventure, comedy, drama...)

If you want views of what happened after End then take a gander at fanfiction.net (http://www.fanfiction.net) if you werent already aware of it, theres many set after End on there playing for a variety of styles comedy, drama etc.. personally I quite like this one (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1567970/1/) seems rather well thought out & fits in with the ending, ok some later points in it are slightly jarring but overall its a good one. Of course now that you've seen all of Eva you can begin to wonder which ending was better, also try to figure out if Anno had any real idea what was going on by the end after going off his meds (that ones still a mystery to me)

The total religous end of the world in the Eva movie. the seven eyes of god the tree of life, lilith, damn i see so much. Fav character is Tabis

also, this is pretty weird:while battling the eva series, asuka manages to destroy the S^2 engine of at least 1 eva(right before the spear hits her you can see how she pierced the eva with her hand and went right thru the engine), but the eva still manages to participate in the rest of the action.How come?

to your question, alone (and i guess this is pertaining to your second question, because i guess that then answer to your first would be that maybe the copy you saw of EoE was translated differantly...only answer i can come up with...hehe), i don't believe i have an answer. it may have been a mistake on the part of the creator, but i guess miniscule flaws such as that are meant to be overlooked (hehe). But if you liked the series, just think about the story as a whole and think about the main story. I also recommend that you read the fan fiction that hawq gave a link to in an earlier reply.

yep, thanks once again hawq, for 5 hours last night and 4 hours today i read that story...but it was indeed a great story...even though it will of course never happen, it would be incredible to see it brought to life through the work of the creator and voice actors of the original Eva series (that would be insane...!)

haha, yep, i recommend to ALL of you out there that have seen and liked Eva to read that story...it's just that damn good......

If I recall it correctly Seele say they still have enough mp units after the fight so while that one may be out of it theres enough left over to do their bidding, been a while since last watched but now the dilema watch again now or wait till I have all the platinum ones first :think:

yeah hawq, quick question, what's so great about the platinum ones? just something gainax is doing to get more money or what?

nah i counted the evas after, there was nine of them... oh well maybe they messed up. btw i read the fanfiction that you recommended (pretty good) and it helped me understand some things&#33;

the platinum collection? im getting it since
1)5.1
2)directors cut
3)+as a bonus-preview of the movie(but that doesnt really count)

I wonder how many times that series was re-released... and I wonder even more how many people are stupid enough to buy the same medicore series over and over again =P

Well the titles are different. Collectors then Platinum. Perhaps there are a few changes made. What I wanna see is some Eva movie after the End of Eva. See what happens. I remember seeing some poster about that but I dunno where it was.
