I did this arrangement for my high school concert band. It's actually an medley of 6 different video game songs:

Overworld Theme - Super Mario Bros.
Green Greens - Kirby's Adventure
Overture - Legend of Zelda
Prologue - Final Fantasy VIII
Title - Megaman 2
Game Over - Super Mario Bros.

You can listen to a target MP3 of about what it should sound like here:

You can download the ZIP file with the sheet music (JPEG format) here:

I also made a medley of Final Fantasy VII music. The piece is a little difficult and has a strong focus on a pianist (and also a keyboardist if you have one). I was a little lazy with Aeris's theme in the actual arrangement because of my notation software's limitation with pianos. I actually played straight from the FF7 piano book for that. Anyway, the songs are:

Opening Theme
Cid's Theme
You Can Hear the Cries of the Planet
Main Theme
One-Winged Angel
Aerith's Theme
J-E-N-O-V-A / Fighting combo
World Crisis

Please keep in mind I am an amateur at this, so there are some mistakes. If you see any big problems, I would really appreciate the feedback so that I can correct them. I have done a lot of proofreading, but there are still problems I find. In the future I want to rework the FF7 arrangement, as it was tailored towards my own HS band. Anyway, I think a lot of people could get some use from my Electric Playground arrangement.

Hope this helps a few people who have been looking for concert band sheet music.

I really like these arrangements, I think you did an A+++++ job on it! I love the Final Fantasy band arrangement; it sounds awesome! Keep up the good work!;)

not bad transcription, bad transitions. Sounds more you took the 5 pieces and just played a short section from each of them without making an attempt at creating some sort of bridge.

I liked your game over mario theme, it was a totally unexpected feel. Very good job on that.

Agreed. I originally had transitions in the piece, but my band director asked me to put more pauses in between because the piece was too straining for a lot of instruments straight through (I don't think there is much of a pause in the MP3 I made). It would sound a lot nicer with the transitions (I think I did a littler better with them on the FF7 piece since a lot of the breaks put in a piano solo) but I think it made it harder to perform. I'm not sure if I should put them back in or not for other bands because the piece is still pretty difficult without them.

Then again, some of the corrections I made with the piece after the performance was to cut down on the amount of instruments playing at the same time, so I suppose it might be possible to put some transitions back in.

I love this piece! It's fantastic :D
Unfortunately, my computer won't open the ZIP, and I want to print it out to show my Band Director, so is there any other way I can get it?

Well, winrar wouldn't open at all, it was set as another ZIP file O.o
And I have a mac so the other site doesn't seem to work?

That just reminded me when a guy needed the winRAR installer and a friend sent it to him in a winRAR... lol

Try this other then: http://www.zipeg.com/mac.video.html

Here's what I think for the FF one... I think after the piano part there should a loud orchestral part. As it simmers down it should pick it back up during the One Winged Angel part, you know, make it loud, or better yet, make it louder, or the loudest!

That aside... my favorite one, along with KaitouKudou, is the mario overworld theme. I liked it the best.

wow! you did an AMAZING job! there are a few parts it should be a tiny bit louder, mostly during transitions, splitting piano and orchestra apart but not totally if you know what i mean, would also be a good idea, example : there's almost a piano solo then the orchestra joins in ( in FF ) other than that THIS IS GREAT! there are just a few fix ups that i can barely barely hear and had to have pointed out! GREAT JOB!
