Hey there. I'm rather new to the site. Finally get to log in (after some difficulties resgistering). Anyway, here's one of my compositions. I'd really would like to see how you guys think of it.

DO NOT use the triplets as basses (in this case). I used to do it like that; it became annoying because it kept on repeating. ;)

Really simplistic chord progression that doesn't serve to move the piece as much as something a little more complex might have done (something besides moving the root of the chord by step). It seems weird when you keep switching back and forth between having and not having the raised leading tone in the dominant chord. Your melody isn't really exciting, but I like the one you had in the part with block chords. The problem with THAT section is that the accompaniment was really tedious. Make it more interesting by maybe breaking the chords up into arpeggios or partial chords that stack up melodically to make the whole triad. Does that make sense?

it's not that interesting to the ear. a decent start for a begginer. It's more like a finger exercise than a song.

I agree with kk that this sounds more like finger exercise, however I think this could be interesting to hear live. try adding some cresendos and diminuendos to make it more interesting. oh and do something about the bass triplets, take them up or down an octave once in a while or something.
Booya!
