im absolutely, stupendously and ridiculously new to composing,
so,
here's my work,would appreciate it if someone would comment onit
say watever u feel:lame, boring....anything

You need Finale, Finale Printmusic, or Finale Allegro ;) . I'll comment later... and there's an edit button, so don't double post ;) .

Um, for someone "absolutely, stupendously and ridiculously new to composing," it had a surprising amount of emotion conveyed. The chord progression sometimes didn't follow the melody as well as it might have, and it was kind of cliché, but it wasn't horrible.

Yes, sort of cliché... but it's pretty good for beginner. (I am bad at using 7th (intervals) in chords).

Very lovely song for a first timer.
I, personally, urge you to persue a good writing hobby for music--great start there, bud!

You certainly have talent for composing. I wish I can compose like you
There are many arpeggio ("break chord") in your composition which can make the song feel dull sometimes, you might want to use single chord from time to time. Remember to use some rest in the music too, "Silence is golden."
