I haven&#39;t seen an anime that I loved, but I did hate DBZ ;_;

I&#39;m the oppisite of Noir7. Haven&#39;t seen an anime that I hated, but I love Trigun, Inuyasha, and most definatly X.

Loved Evangelion, Trigun, Cowboy bebop of course....Inuyasha is good, but it&#39;s only available to me on cartoon network because my wallet is kinda small atm :/ , Outlaw star was good, from the little i saw of witch hunter robin (cartoon network :/ ) it was interesting...i didn&#39;t really get into the story though b/c i saw the episodes out of order.
I occasionally would watch DBZ but after the ones with friza it just became too repetative, and the fact that it took them like 5 episodes to charge up an energy blast...haha. I dunno, i also like Lupin the III, my friend really liked that and got me to watch it a year or so ago, when it came back to cartoon network this summer he was ecstatic, lol. I&#39;ve seen the first episode of Saiyuki...it was interesting as well, but after the first episode it seemed like the series could go in any direction. Rurouni Kenshin was very good, but i much prefer the OVA of Samurai X...which i need to purchase...stupid currency and that fact that i have none...<laughs>

I also own a few movies...Akira, Princess mononoke, Spirited away, End of Evangelion and the bebop movie. they&#39;re all pretty good...but...haha, i&#39;m such a n00b...can someone tell me what mononoke hime is? i&#39;ve seen it mentioned on these forums a few times...and was wondering if it was like a second chapter in the story or something...<tries to sound professional> so...yeeaaah....cya..lol

Monononke Hime is the same thing as Princess Mononoke.

I&#39;d have to say Akira, GTO, Kenshin(well, most of it), Yu Yu Hakusho, and Fushigi Yugi.

Anime I hate?...First off, I don&#39;t watch anything really dirty or gory, so that really narrows my list. Secondly, if I think the artwork is hideous I won&#39;t go anywhere near it. For example, any of Dragonball, Yugi Oh&#33;, Pokemon, Trigun, etc etc etc drives me nuts. I can&#39;t look at it. I go "Oooh, that looks so ugly&#33;" and start twitching. I have a hard time with huge bulgy eyes and steroidish muscles. For me, the art has got to be as good as the storyline.

Kenshin and Fruits Basket are the best ever&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

Evangelion is one of the greatest animes ever, and its on alot of the top animes list in many Anime Magazines such as NewType, Evangelion&#39;s story and the way that things are viewed in the anime are so....depressing yet, so psychologically smartening. *nods* -_-

Not really, I personally find anime like Evangelion and Naruto quite entertaining, but i can see what you mean.

I&#39;m not saying low level entertainment can&#39;t be entertaining. Fear factor is low level entertainment yet enjoyed by many people, same for shows like Big brother. It&#39;s just stupid but that can be one of its charms. I often watch the American TV show "Hunter" which has no strong plot or whatever but sometimes I just enjoy stuff like that. Unlike evangelion fans I wouldn&#39;t scream out that it&#39;s the best thing ever even though I like it.

Didn&#39;t that get licensed?

Fumoffu technically has 15 episodes. This is because a few of them are two episodes in one. If I recall correctly, Episodes 1 and 2 are in the same one and so is 4 and 5 etc.

There is also two unaired episodes that fit in between Episodes 1 and 2 and 2 and 3.

Confusing @_@ But I watched it last weekend and it&#39;s awesome. Pony ~&#33;

@^ yes, it is the one about the art students. The opening is quite disturbing though, how they used food that way... but it&#39;s great~ how they draw some of the facial expressions.

it&#39;s good =D one of the funniest and cutest anime around. Chiyo in a penguin costume is one of the cutest thing you&#39;ll ever see. It&#39;s worth watching, though it&#39;s a little pointless at times~

Cowboy Bebop all the way&#33;&#33;&#33; The Art, the story, everything about it is great&#33; I thought it was the coolest how they made a back story for evey character in the show: Show spoiler (javascript:void(0);)<span style="display: none;" id="QUOTE"> Spike was killed once and brought back to life fell in love with a woman and then got sepparated. Jet was a cop before he got his arm shot off by his best friend&#33; Fey got into a huge accident in space and was put into slumber for a loooong tym. she wakes up and doesn&#39;t remember a thing but gets her hands on a huge Debt&#33; Ed was forgotten by her father (left her in the Day-care center for years) and she ended up becoming a ruronin master #4x312 (hacker). Even the Enemy has one, Vicious was a fighter in the War on Titan, but there was no war, he was just pumped full of Experimental drugs. </span> The Anime I hate...well I don&#39;t realy have a hated one but I don&#39;t like them Englilished dubbed&#33;&#33;&#33; :what: :yawn:

Oh, but Cowboy Bebop English dub was goooood. I wanna get the rest of the soundtracks *has No. 3*

MILD DISLIKES: FullMetal Alchemist, Inuyahsa, DragonBall, DragonBallGT. Just not my type of Animes. I don't really have anything against them.

HATES: Yu-Gi-Oh!!! Yu-Gi-Oh can die six million and three deaths! (In my opinion anyway...) Paranoia Agent! Digimon, yuck! X_X Spirited Away. That one just creeped me out.

I love love love love LOVE "Mononoke Hime". I can watch it over and over again, it never bores me. :wub:

ahh?? MKR is a classic story! i love it!! though the anime was terrible though... not just the dub, just like the art and content of it, but the Manga was great!!!

and i still think its impossible to really hate FMA (How can you hate something that has Ed in it????), though i do respect their opinions (the dislikers)

Boys Be... I think I've never watched the continuation of that series or there just have'nt been any continuation at all.

I loved that series. It really talks about puberty among guys and girls and the stages of growing up. I watched that when I was 16 but I felt that watching it now would really inspire me more. The soundtrack is great and inspiring and every episode has a great moral to inculcate to it's viewers. Haha, I loved that series. I've never seen any series more realistic than that. Some episodes, I could really relate to like those relationship thingie. Haha...

i love:Tennis no Ojisama, Hunter X Hunter, FMA, Ikkikousen, Bleach, Naruto, Love Hina, Ah My Goddess, Mahoromatic, Kanon, lots more but these are my most favorite
i hate: azumanga daioh (as good as people say it is i must disagree i just don't find why people say it's good, i watched a few episodes and hated every second of it)

DBZ wasn't that bad but I agree that they streched things out waaaay too far.

@shade I don't think that Final Fantasy Spirits within was worthy of having the Final Fantacy name on it! I mean it was a good movie but it was nothing like Final Fantasy, I mean where are the swords, the magic, THE CHOCOBOS!!!!!!!!!! it was more of a CG of starship tropers meat the ghostbusters

Oh God, I saw an episode of the dubbed Card Captor Sakura today. Sadly, it was Cardcaptors, so it wasn't too fabulous, and they called Tomoyo MADISON~!!!! It wasn't terrible, I definitely wanna see the original now. :P

Wind read a couple pages back... actually, it's on this very page~ It's one of my favorites! And yes, the music is wonderful. Do you have the OST? There's a few songs that make the OST worth buying. The characters are awesome.... although I demand Hagu be switched -- she looks and acts too young.

How can you not like Air? I understand that there about 15 plot holes in the series, but the overall effect and multi-cast ending far outweighs(sp?) the cons. Ruroni Kenshin: duh, the greatest samurai themed anime ever, til the buttheads in Cartoon Network took them off:frusty:

DBZ: what is wrong with it? I admit, it does take a tad long for some sagas, but, if you watch every other episode, it's pretty good.

Trigun: I haven't seen much of it, but I liked what I saw

Big O: another Cartoon network screw up. ugh!

Tenchi Muyo: I saw it about 5-6 years ago on CN, but they took it off (see a pattern here?)

ANY Ghost in the Shell: I couldn't pay enough attention to keep up with these.

Yu-Gi-Oh! or Yu-Gi-Oh! GX! Over-rated, over-talked about, over everything, then, to add to it, they made a sequel.

Pokemon: Let it die, people.

Lupin the 3rd: Bad graphics, bad language, bad everything.

Cowboy Bebop: 1. the name 2. too, back-street alleyway kinda attitude about it

Anything made for kids under 7 originally. (DBZ, as many other animes were edited when they first showed in US)

Why do you hate Cowboy Bebop it has a great plot line and complicated characters?

Though CB was good, the characters were pretty archetypical. Slacker main character, sexy vixen, battle-worn ex-cop...

CB, well it just didn't do it for me. As for Inuyasha, I'm basically neutral on it. I never watch it, I don't want to watch it. I've seen like ten episodes scattered, meh. And I think that this would go under what I put for Lupin the 3rd, too.

Come on. Naruto is cool, though. My friends hate it because it's "unrealistic" but they like One Piece *_* :kfreaked: OY! Naruto should come twice as fast to the US, or like a new episode EVERY NIGHT, boy that would be cool. Those of you in Japan and have seen it before, don't spoil it for me, but I just saw the episode where squad 7 are fighting Zabuza Mamochi (i guess that's how you spell it) and Sasuke threw the Demon Wind Shuriken and Naruto used a replacement jutsu and well, that's all I saw.

The only anime I never really liked was Cyborg 009, I didn't like the animation. My all time favorite anime: Soul Hunter is the title in the U.S, but the original title is Senkaiden Houshin Engi. I love it!

The charcter Ed is in a class of his own- safisticated(sp?), yet simple (a bit TOO simple at times); has meaning, yet he could have been left out of the entire Cowboy Bebop series without doing any extreme harm- yet, he needs to be there. In a way Ed completes the circle of fools in the series called CB.

If you think that CB hosts characters that defines cliche, check out an anime that is built solely on cliches and then makes the term something entirely different- Gatekeepers (*shudders*) I never want to see charater design like that ever, in my entire lifetime, from it's beginning to end, conciously avoiding the mere though of watching, again! It's sooo Cliched (notice the drawl on the word 'so')! The dumb wit that looks like a witch (takes dumb to an new limit!), a class rep that has hidden agendas and is two-faced (this is one of the more developed characters, due to the last couple of eps), blow off commander that, somehow, pulls though in tough situations (a theme in all animes, yet this character cannot be loved, nor do you want him to suceed(sp?)), a traditional japanese beauty that speaks in prose (the only character that was orginal, yet it still was a copy from other animes; I guess this is why she appeared in Gatekeepers 21, Oh wait! it's because she can surpass TIME... I didn't see that one comming...), a student of misfoutune, desiring to be at the top, exc... THERE ARE TOO MANY CHARACTERS!!!

(to further my rant, I've seen better charater design/develpment/animation(well, hentai style anime is usually high class)/constuction inside a low-grade hentai animation).

and all of this started with Cowboy Bebop... Sorry for wasting your time. JUST DON'T WATCH GATEKEEPERS (unless you curious about how bad it is... In which case, go for it, with preps of bashing your head against your desk)

I don't really hate anything, but usually when things get a bit too popular for my tastes, and start having A LOT of filler episodes to pass time simply avoiding the next arc which I've read in the manga (*cough*Naruto*cough*) then they get downgraded to the "I like it, but I don't like it" anime pile.

The only anime series I'd say I really hate are things like Pokémon. I dislike Samurai Champloo and I'm ambivalent toward GITS (high quality, but I'm no fan of transhumanism or government, so not surprising) and Inuyasha (entertaining, but drags entirely too much).

I haven't seen much anime, but the ones I've seen, I really liked.

i like a TON of anime series! but i LOVE sailor moon, revolutionary girl utena, love hina, inuyasha, neon genesis evangelion, cardcaptor sakura, and tokyo mew mew.

for movies...i love miyazaki's work! especially kiki's delivery service, princess monoke, my neighbor totoro, and howl's moving castle (duh!). i still need to see utena's movie though...*tear*

No because I think Kagome is different and nicer than Kikyo. I just that I don't like Kikyo very much because she tried to kill Kagome.:unsure:

Just finished watching Shakugan no Shana... has factors that I hate about anime. Just like mai-HiME, it's almost as though the producers think their audiences can't take a sad ending, or they think it's smart to put a twist in at the end, but it fails miserably. Everything concluded with everyone living happily ever after, with one ambiguous statement of explanation as to why the supposedly-disastrous ending suddenly became a full happy one.

I must agree with you on that.

I mean, look at Air TV, and Chrno Crusade; look at how much of an impact they leave on you at the end.

Sad endings are by far the best type of ending if you want your audience to remember it, and the producers just keep on promoting "Good" and "Just" generally postive emotion endings. Sure, everyone loves a happy ending, but you actually `feel` a sad ending.

Yeah the ending did kinda suck but wth im sure there will be a second season. I really like "Egro Proxy" i like the art style and the story line.

Yep, there's definitely a movie in the makes (as everyone with the eclipse encode knows), and maybe a second season--though I'm too lazy to research that right now. Instead... OFF TO PITA TEN!

fushigi yuugi and yu yu hakusho are the best! GTO is good but i'd go with Mahou Sensei Negima, El Hazard, Ghost in the Shell:SAC, Noir, Ah!Megisama!, Love Hina, Trigun, Full Metal Alchemist, Ninku, Naruto, Pokemon, Digimon(except for the dubbing...everythings good), Hell Teacher Nube, Spirited Away, Neon Genesis EVA, Rurouri Kenshin, CHOBITS!!!(my fave):lol: , and a whole lot more!

the worst, i think is Bubblegum Crisis, the story is poor and it lacks plot...:bleh:

Er, it has a lot of tennis! Yes, tennis, very exciting <3. But I really like the anime because it's so easy to make fun of XD. Manga's better.

Fruits Basket-LOVE! It's funny and it has great looking gu--, um, animals! The zodiac forms are so cute, especially Momiji's rabbit form. And there's so much emotion put into it! It makes you cry and laugh in the same episode.


*sigh* If this were favorite manga, I'd be adding Absolute Boyfriend, Crimson Hero, Bleach (since I've only read it), Kodocha, DN Angel, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle...I read more manga than watch anime!

I watch the anime and read the manga of Tsubasa...it amazes me what they change/leave out/add in the anime. Of course, what I like about the anime is the voice and music...

It's a very good series (that I enjoyed) but with over 400 episodes, I quit it. Too much money, and far too much time.
