I'm waaaay new to this forum, but I was wondering if someone might transcribe me some sheet music for any Studio Ghibli film for the clarinet?? Preferrably Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Casle.

I think i /might/ be able to provide some MIDIs. but i can DEFINITLY provide mp3s.

thanks

Do you have a Bb clarinet? My best friend that plays clarinet with me says his just works like you would read piano music. If that's the case with yours, you can play the top note of the treble clef melody (if there are chords in the right hand) most of the time. Hope this helps!

Nononononono. It's not true :P. Trust me. I'm already playing college stuff (on a Bb Clarinet), and I also play Piano.

It sounds the same, but if you get a trained ear, you can tell it's not. The main transposition from Piano ---> Bb Clarinet is:

First of all, add 2 sharps to the key signature(s). Sharps and Flats cancel out. If there are any sharps in the key, just add the sharps.

Then, put all of the notes in the song ONE NOTE UP.

Only reason the notes would be the same is if you had a C Clarinet, which is QUITE rare.

I can definitely do some for you if you had some MIDIs. mp3s will take me a little while longer. First I'll have to make it into a flute part then transpose it for you
