Hi! ^__^ I haven't been on here for a while. xP Okay, here's my story. [<-- NO! XD NOT ABOUT THE BRADY BUNCH!]

I have a piano at home. I do use it. However, I want to get a keyboard so I can record the music that I write and learn to play other songs. I am horrible trying to teach myself because everytime I press the keys, it sounds wrong and I'm not sure what I'm playing is right or wrong.

I'm not good at choosing which keyboard that would be useful to me since I'm not an expert at keyboards. I don't understand what the keyboard has and what is different. It's tough since this is my first time buying an electronic keyboard.

This is what I need in a keyboard.

Records music when I play.
has those buttons that light up to show you how to play.
Different sounds of instruments when playing. Like if I want to play the music in a violin sound, I press something and I begin to press the keys and it will sound like a violin. I hope I am making sense. ^_^;
I can transport midis to my keyboard to learn to play the song. A song I wrote when I play to the computer.
Different songs to play.

Maybe when I done writing the music and playing the music that I wrote, I can have the music sheets printed out on the computer. I hope that's not confusing.

The last one might not matter much. ^_^ So let the choosing begin!

Please choose one from each. ^___^ Thank you!

I don't care about the price.

=] I will have to work for a long long time.

Kay, all those walmart keyboards are shit. The closest thing to what you want is the 3rd piano on your Guitar Center list.

Now, don't buy a casio, they suck. Don't buy stuff like this from walmart, walmart just buys all the crappy stuff so they LOOK like they sell good stuff. I would say to shop for a yamaha for the stuff you want. Just looking at those options, i would buy the third one on the guitar center list, but if I were you, I would do ALOT of research before you buy anything.

If you want any decent keyboard, don't even look below $800 CAN. Look for one with weighted keys and a pedal. Look for your keyboards in specialty stores for music. Do not go to a supermarket like wal-mart cause all you're going to get is something for looks. Make sure it has all 88keys (Full range of a piano. That number shouldn't be off by 2-3)

Yamaha is the best. And an electronic piano is better because you can record music and put it on a CD and it has much better quality and cheaper too since it only has Grand Piano option.

I know. I can't afford anything higher than 330 something. -.-; I'm pretty sure my parents will disapprove of me getting anything higher since I already got the piano. [nods]

=] But thanks!

Yamaha DGX-620. doesn't light up to help you learn or anything, but to me, it's the best one i've seen. ^_^
