It seems people can't decide on the location for the meetup, so lets try it this way. Vote on either the location you want it to be or the closest location if your not bothered.

Well, to be truthful, I would much prefer Birmingham (London underground in the heat is so not nice), although I know that it would be easier for more people if it were in London... ^^

i think we shoudl remove the descriptions of the places in the poll, i love london and calling brum the heart of england seems like bias is present =P

Historicaly Birmingham was refered to as the heart or jewel of england. But the capital is the capital so that is the higher rank.

'heart' is a more emotive word, and id like to point out the 'historicaly' in your above post

I voted London because so far we've had 2 say that they can't make it to Brum, but people say only that they'd PREFER it, not it is the only place they can get... and DM keeps missing out through such small things it seems a shame to not TRY and make it so she can come (plus I'm selfish.. I wanna meet DM and PFT along with everyone else XD)

i also voted London, simply for the fact that I live round Birmingham and i can go there any time i want. its a pretty boring area for me. plus i agree that its fairer to pick the place where the majority CAN come, rather than just a preference.

Clarification for DM XD the other thing I was going to suggest is we can always have two meetups on separate days so that the london people can meet each other and the brum people can too... so that no-one refuses to come just because of location and misses out meeting EVERYONE.

Some claim they can only go to london, others for Birmingham so I agree to the two seperate meetups

but splitting the group spoils the fun wouldnt you say? then again we have at least 9 for each

It doesn't mean that people can't go to BOTH.. it just means that everyone can hopefully come to one ;)

I've emailed my head of department asking if she can tell me when and where my summer placements are (they fail at being organised =_=) When I find out where the hell I am and on what dates I'll see about the possibility of making it to both (and claiming it back on the NHS XD). That aside, Brum's best for me before August and London's best for me after August ^_^
