Either today or tomorrow, I'm going to buy a subscription to http://www.rentanime.com But I need suggestions as to what anime to get. I plan to rent like crazy and totally get my moneys worth :P The only ones I have planned out for sure now is Grave of the fireflies and Fushigi Yugi. Maybe Fruits Basket. What else is a must-have. (You might want to check to make sure they have it, though :P)

If you can, you should get his and her circumstances, love hina, noir, or escaflowne. These are some of my favourites.

I'm working on getting nior right now, and I'm gonna try to get his and her circumstances! I'm finishing up watching lain, too. I'm still waiting to get Grave of the Fireflies. It's never in! It's like someone rented it but is taking forever to return it or there's a huge waiting list. Eep.

You should most definately rent Fruits Basket. I've seen the entire series, it's very good indeed.

If you like romantic comedies I suggest : Fruits Basket, Kare Kano, Ah My goddess, Fushigi Yuugi, DNAngel stuff like that.

If you like action: Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, Hellsing (If you prefer more horror and action), Cowboy Bebop, Vampire Hunter D.

If you like pure comedies: Azumanga Daioh all the way.

More Dark anime: Ayashi No Ceres (Very good anime by the way, done by Yuu Watase who created Fushigi Yuugi)

everything I'd reccomend is up there except, Outlaw Star and Berserk, both great series, surprised no one hasnt mentioned them yet..

Even though they don't have it all... try out azumanga daioh.

Love Hina is also a great series to pursue.

Try watching X its a great series, and also cowboy bebop, trigun and kenshin if you enjoy action

other than the ones stated above, I would also recommend "Jin-Roh - the Wolf Brigade". It's so compelling and pungent. I like the way they use an innocent fairy tale to parellel and contrast the cruelty in the real world,
and yeah, you'll have a different perspective towards "the little red riding hood" after you see this Anime movie.
