after reading the fan fiction i realized that i still dont know what asuka meant by those words so i rewatched EoE and got a theory...

let me reconstruct the scene:
theres the head of rei in the backgroung, and at first i thought that asuka saw it and it was disgusting, but she lowers her eyes right before that and looks at shinji.

Next i thought that it was directed at shinji since he was crying and almost killed her, but i think she would have then said "How pathetic" instead of disgusting, so i think thats also wrong

thyis is the one i think is right:
asuka comments at one point:"ewww, does that mean ill do the same thgings misato does when i grow up?!" (in reference to the...uh...interacions between Kaji & Misato)
also if we remember the sometimes joking manner of asuka it fits:
she wakes up and sees shinji sitting on her in a way that would suggest that they were having sex, or at least remind her of sex. So-she still thinks of the things misato does(& still dislikes them) and says "How disgusting"... i.e. nice-way-to-wake-up-after-death-right-into-sex-ewww!!!

i know its sounds stupid but i hope some of you find the time to rewatch EoE and comment on my theory since when you watch it it DOES sound right :)

I think it's there so that evangelion fans had something pointless to discuss.

one thing ive learned is that in nge almost everything was done for a reason...the problem is finding that reason

It's possible that she said "how disgusting" because of the fact that After Instrumentality was avoided, it was only Shinji and Asuka that were brought back before all other humans (if any). And so it could have disgusted her that she was to be with him whether she liked it or not. (All the while obviously in Shinji's mind that that was unacceptable...and this is where we find his hands clutching her throat, intent to end her life)

yeah, i kinda agree with Angelic tho...giving us pointless things to discuss that we will probably never know the answer.

I think i'm chosing to believe that the fan fiction that hawq referred us to is what happened right after that in the Eva universe...but of course that's not true according to the creator...but until they come out with an End of End of Evangelion (not gonna happen) i choose to believe that's the facts!

anno WAS mentally disturbed, and have very likely inserted totally pointless and unexplained actions/scenes into the series just to make the viewers wonder. gainax/anno will never explain these actions/scenes, simply because there are no explanations.
