I'll try it! A lot of those questions I have not even heard of. And about the positions, I was never taught a formal method of determining them. May be our teacher forgot to tell us? I can learn so much from you!

Do you want us to PM our answers to you? Some of the questions are kind of vague though. Like number 5. Shifting is all personal preference. Some people might shift due to small hands while other people would decide to stretch. Might want to specify or do something about that one. #7 as well. Different people and orchestras tune to different notes. Some like it to be sharp or flat compared to the usual. In number 11, its like number 5. Some people can reach longer distances and thus don't need to shift. For number 2, is there another way to rephrase the question? I can't figure out what you are asking. Sorry for being so picky.

I would assume that they're based on shifting when you reach 1st pos., 4th Finger and need to go higher.

As for the questions, I'll try them. They don't look too hard, and we're allowed to look them up. I'll include the ones I look up.

(8)How many octaves does the violin cover?

At first, when I looked at the music, I thought "This is COLLEGE level music?!?!?" But then you said it was a high school review. xD

I may not play violin, but I'm pretty sure its 4, since none of the orchestra string instruments (to my knowledge) can go higher than 4 octaves.
