You have gone from nothing to somthing, that is an improvement. Some people take yesrs to get it right. even I only play a few different songs after 2 yesrs of being able to play.

Listen to musicians who play extraordinarily well and notice the differences between how you play and how they play.

There's always room for improvement - you just need to discover what more is possible.

@HanTony: thanks, what do you mean by years before getting it right?

@Zero: thanks, i've been watching extraordinary people even before i played.. it sort of inspired me to play in the first place but sometimes it could be intimidating

Take years to be able to play any song of a certain level with what seems like very little practice.

You may be abel to play the piece now, but nonetheless, it would take years to actually play the song with what's the whole purpose of the piece.

So don't rush everything, you may play it well according to the regular standards but you may not be able allude people with what the essence of the piece is all about.

Practice, and certain time understanding the piece gets you to be the best of who you might be.

Knowing your full potential does not depend on how good you play the piece, it's manner of playing the piece that makes a pianist an artist and a musician. :)

That can be pretty intimidating - especially for beginners. I've been playing 10 years and I'm still intimidated when someone pulls Liszt's Rigoletto Paraphrase out of a hat.

Maybe a better idea - still along the same lines - would be to get your teacher(assuming you have one) or someone who's accomplished to play your song correctly for you, and watch how they play it.
