Anyone know what happened to this site? It's been down for a while now.. for those who don't know, it's a pretty big and a popular community among sheet music lovers

I don't think this is the place for such inquiries.

Lock. ?

This topic already got moved around :\ I know it's not really on topic or anything, but though this would be a good place to ask since both sites are essentially about sheet music. Anyways, if this isn't appropriate - lock away ;)

Did you e-mail a mod or admin there?

Sometimes its most reliable to get the info straight from the source.

I can access it fine  .

(Wow, 318 people on at once?)

EDIT: Here's a quote from one of the admins...

Dear Gamingforce Community,

I am deeply sorry for having GFF down for so long. My father passed away recently and I was put in a difficult situation. It has been hard for me to make payments for the last few months causing the bill to accumulate to a large amount and the server become suspended.

While I did not want to deal with the extra stress and financial strain (at this tough time), the recent emails and messages I have received from you have shown me how much GFF means to a lot of people. Even though I am in a financially difficult situation at this time due to unforseen circumstances, I have put the amount owed on my credit card trusting that the community can help me get through this.

While the goal is to make GFF financially self sustainable, a donation to help cover the cost of running a high trafficked site would be tremendous right now. IWhile it's not expected that you donate, it would be extremely helpful at this difficult time and guarantee that the server stays up for the months to come.

I will not forget the individuals who support GFF and will not only recognize them but will give back in some way. Thank you all for being so patient and making GFF become amazing for so many years. I promise to become a bigger part of this community once my life gets sorted out and will post a ChocoJournal entry explaining the whole situation soon.

Best,

its an amazing site, but so unreliable- it goes down all the time

and fair enough to get sheet music from there because its too expensive to buy every piece you want to have a go at only to realise you dont like it and never use it again

but i dont agree with the thread where they upload whole CDs- its an insult to the artist(s); i mean professional musicians arent paid half as much as you'd expect them to be paid as it is.
