A friend of mine and I are actually working on an RPG. We are both composing so we thought, we could make our own Soundtrack. Now here is one Piece that is ready, more to follow. It's called in English "Snowforest". Hope you like it. It's a bit silly...

Why is there near 60 minutes of repetition? LoL.

Anyway, nice cheerful song.

Just make a shorter loop, not like it changes much if any later on....like 2-3 minute loop would do? X_X

I enjoyed it, I wouldn't want to be listening to it by itself for a long time but it seems just right to set a mood and be something pleasant you can ignore in the background. Where are you using it if I might ask? It seems like it would be perfect for some sort of cheerful Carnival or Town theme.

WAY TOO LONG, We can understand that it supposed to loop after hearingthe theme twice, we ont need to hear it more than 100 times.

Anyway, I found the title to be off. I imagine something that has nothing to do with a forest, more like a polka dance at a carnival.

If I had to stay in the same place where that music plays for more than 10 minutes, I might regurgitate, because it get's way too annoying way too fast.

VERDICT

+ ~ Good Idea
+ ~ Interesting Melody (for the first two runthroughs)
- ~ Nauseatingly repetitive and way too long

OVERALL GRADE ~ 2/5 Poor

Sorry if that was a bit harsh, but I try to be honest. :heh:

Whenever I listen to anything, I minimize it and let it play while fooling around with something else. Once two minutes passed, I looked at the screen, and its hardly half way through.

It was very catchy at first and... I was humming it to myself, but oh god! I have a headahce now.
It was so long, my brother told me to turn it off one it got three quarters through.

I liked it, but it got very annoying.

Rating:

5/10

Would be better if shorter, or possibly had more then just...repeating itself.

Sorry. -_-

i needn't say anymore lol

the sound really like a chrono trigger kinda type of music where its cheerful and danceful, or maybe a bit christmassy with the *SHAKES SHAKES* i really like it. but i think it's kind of *SHARP* if you know what i mean. If i hear it too much, it really gets to my ears...and it gets irritating. Just think you should change to some smoother tune, and NO, changing to a smoother tune will not change the mood, trust me

I made ist that long, because in the RPG-Maker I use, the song isn't looped, so I have to make it long enough. I forgot to make it shorter before posting it...sorry! :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop:

Anyway, there's another one. It's called...uuuuhm....how to translate...one sec., I'm looking it up....

Don't find it...Think you can saythe boss evil one...It's his theme.

I do a bit of programming myself...and you can MAKE it loop...heres how

just make yourself a variable, say "musicend" now, when you enter the area the music is being played, set your variable to 0, meaning the music hasnt ended yet. Now make the song into a two minute loop, set a timer for two minutes, when the two minutes is up, make that variable a 1...now

if musicend=1, do these things: play the song again,
set musicend back to zero, reset timer....so itll loop for infinity -_-

...yea, i know thats not in any actual programming language, thats just, you know...the common sense part of it
I hope it helped...if you can't figure out how to make a song loop....then I'm really sorry, but I doubt you'll be able to program a full RPG...start smaller first. (I'm starting an RPG with a few friends really soon, as soon as I get my webcomic up and situated  )

Anyway, the song...I like it, like someone already said, it sort of has that chrono trigger carnival atmosphere to it - 8/10 ^_^

Not bad, I really really liked the first one, though it was super short. This one is okay, but in a level this would be WAY too repetive. If you could extend the melody, it would be a lot better. 8/10, needs to be longer, otherwise I'd give it a 10/10. I'll just comment on the first one for now.

That my compositions sound like Crono trigger surprises me. I never played the game and never heard the music (if I have, then I don't know it...).

Make it longer...
It's a bit difficult, because I have no ideas for these pieces (yet...). But I try to make it.

okay...the next one isn't actually made by me. It's composed by a friend of mine. He composed it as a pianodraft. Then he sended it to me and I orchestrated it.
So, how you like it?

Its okay, but.....I've heard better. The melody is a bit...weird, but I still can appreciate the way you orchestrated some of it. I give it a 6/10.
