I been playing the piano for 5 months already. I can read notes, I can play in C, G and F major. I can sight read a little. Does anyone think I could play it in 4 weeks time? You probably could (with a lot of practice), but I wouldn't use that arrangement. :mellow: The opening should've been in A flat major, but hey, the arranger put weird accidentals and whatnot... So it won't really please your adjudicators or whoever is judging your finals thing.

IMO thats one of the best arrangement of Dearly Beloved that I've heard so far. The one from the Kingdom Hearts Piano Medley sounds strange. I really need help with choosing a song now.

Dearly Beloved is sightly challenging [if it's anything like the version from here]. I mean, nothing terrible but I think I would have to work harder then with other pieces, mostly because the composer wasn't thinking of how easy it would translate for someone wanting to play it, only how nice it would sound on a computer.

Work hard and I say yes. I would probably be able to do it in 4 weeks if I worked hard enough, and I've only been playing for over a year now.

Practice is everything! Just pace yourself. 1 page a week and the last week to add finishing touches. You may want to finish a earlier if you have to memorize the whole thing... But with enough practice most anything can be played ;)
It's less about the 4 weeks and more about the total hours dedicated to playing the song. If you were to practice straight 3-5 hours daily then I'd say definitely, your goal would be reached with some time to spare too.

I'm not sure how big your hands are (probably bigger than mine :( ), but this is how I would play it ;)
