I had listened to all of them. I like ur whispers of children album more. Piano solo like Ryanna's theme sounds good to me. Many of them are very percussionistic which in matter of taste, i dun really like(maybe becos i'm a string player). The strings in ur mp3 sounds pretty rough, maybe u could use a better sound font? The reverberations in your mp3s are abit too much, reducing them will improve the clarity. Well... good work, but can be better.

In Luefa no Ue I had slight mastering difficulties, but i'll post some of my latest, to see maybe if i've improved. ^.^ Thank you for your time and feedback! *strings fanatic*

Whispers of Children

1.Amphstilla
Interesting how there's always a sense of motion in this piece, even in the slower parts. Interesting descending parts in the RH, almost sounds like you're using your own scale in those parts. This piano piece is good, but it feels like the harmony doesn't really take the listener anywhere.

2.Millia
I like how "open" the piano sample sounds here. Your use of chords here is nice. I really like the little surprise mordent that pops up three or so times throughout the piece. The ending is just a little abrupt, though... did you mean to back away so suddenly?

3.SwiftlyBlue
Nice start, with a memorable little melody. This piece shows that you have real talent at writing emotive music. Very nice use of terraced dynamics. I'm curious what the title means and how it applies to the piece? Once again, though, the ending feels just a little too soon; there's no definite cadence.

4.Nistraghm
This piece gives me a feeling of urgency, yet also sounds as though it's to do with something/someone delicate. Cool surprise use of a major chord a little before the middle of the piece, and again near the end. The ending here is better than the others, though I think it would benefit from allowing the melody to fade away a bit more gracefully by adding in one or two measures more to the end.

5.Windelhn
The harmonies here sound quasi-jazzy and unpredictable. I like that! Very thoughtful sounding piece with a nice melody.

6.Whispers of Children
Once again, your chord choices sound somewhat jazzy and improvised, making it difficult for my ear to settle into a single key right away. Very cool technique. Is that a major seventh chord you ended on? Really cool! What made you choose this as the title track?

7.Her voice in the skies
This piece has a rocking (as in back and forth) feel to it, lofty and light in texture. I like how you weave through several keys, too (sounds like B Major for the most part, though there are several hints at E major, at least...). This would make a good theme song for a character in an RPG. :)

8.Ryanna's theme
Unfortunately, this piece wouldn't load for me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

You've got a distinctive style. Some of your melodies sound almost pentatonic, while others make use of different scales. All of your work seems to me like it'd be suitable for listening to on the beach at the start of a long vacation -- smooth and relaxing. The only thing I question overall is your use of the left hand and how frequently you avoid playing the root of most chords first, leaving the tonality something unclear. Is this a conscious decision?

Anyway, good stuff, to put it short. :)

Ahhh, Gnomish you know so many scales! It's crazy! But really cool, because you clarify what i've made, basically knowing my creation better than I. It's interesting to see it from someone else's point of view, especially when they have a theoratic ear.

Swiftlyblue was a theme for a loved one I once had, possibly the reason why it is so emotional. I had shown it to her after months of not talking to eachother and she was speechless, and I never heard a word after that..

Whispers of children was thought to be a very gentle theme, turned out the be aswel. I imagined being covered in snow (which I have never seen as of yet), on a winter day, and I look up to the sky, and I could hear voices of children. :) It might certainly be a seventh major chord, hence that is certainly my favorite chord. :]

I think the reason with the left hand is because I tend to follow a chord ladder that goes up and down, thus missing the root, leaving the right hand to follow through.

Thank you very much for your time and feedback. ^^

Prelude of Desraina

The harp introduction is beautiful, and the string entry is beautiful. However, it sounds after a little while as if the harmonic progression becomes "smudgy" or begins to unravel, likely thanks to overusage of accidentals which really don't seem to have a function. In fact, much of the first 40 seconds sounds quite polytonal. Is this the effect you were going for? The section starting at 0:44 is really good, and the bassline in the harp (LH) can finally be heard. The passage from about 1:50 to the end is also very good, and finally the harp gets a small time to shine until the fade-out. It makes for a good prelude, I say. :)

Leufa no Ue

Amphastilla: This song didn't really have a beginning. It just kind of started, maybe some of it got cut off... The use of the synth gives it that full sound, but sometimes I feel that it overpowers the piano work. I really liked the fact that there was never one dull spot, but I thought it was interesting that you choose the song to fade off for the ending.

Azure Naivete (Windelhn): I really like your melody in this one, and the LH part sounds really nice with it. I just think that the LH part began to be too repetative and could've changed rhythms at 0:58 and change back at 1:17, so the RH part could seem more flowing.

Leufa no Ue: I couldn't really feel a melody to this piece. It seemed more about just changing chords. The LH part was nice and the occasional sixteenth notes in the RH were nice. I liked the beginning how it kept on changing chords, so you don't really know where this song will take you.

Nistraghm: The bell part is a really nice change of pace to this album. Interesting use of rhythms, and pauses. This song also had a really nice unpredictable melody.

Skaiya: This one seemed very much like one of those battle songs from Final Fantasy. It's almost odd how it doesn't feel happy or sad... It seems to be a mix, I'm not really sure why... but, the melody was tough to catch on to.

Strolla Magnificita: Nice chords, and rhythms in the very beginning. i liked how everything but the piano dropped out at 0:37, but I'm not really sure if I liked the song just ending with the piano. I expected the strings to join the piano and fade off, not just the piano.

Swiftly Blue: The melody is really nice, and the LH part has that nice flowing feel to it. I really liked the breaks at 0:38, and the melody that followed with the oboe (I think). Nice transitions from the two different melodies.

Leufa no Ue is one of those albums that you put on during a relaxing day, or while your doing something. The songs and melodies are nice, but sometimes I feel the melody is hidden behind the moving lines and the strings. For some reason it reminded me of a Final Fantasy game... I noticed that all of the songs all faded off, which made the songs feel like they were never-ending.

Great job, to say the least, and I can't wait to listen to your Whispers of Children album. BTW I noticed on iTunes it puts "Swiftly Blue" in an album called Lost Pieces... was that a mistake or another collection of songs you created?

@ Gnomish : Thank you for your feedback once again. ^^ It's true that it gets a bit smudgy, I believe it's because the violin isn't staccato enough, which makes the attack smudge off on the other instruments. I believe that most of it was intentional, hence from heart, it came. :)

@ComplexAudio : Thanks for giving Luefa no Ue a spin! I think You'll be more pleased with whispers of children, I believe. There are many songs in there that inspired WoC, and I can explain the mixy parts, because I hadn't felt in my actual place at that time. Oh the album name is lost pieces because it wasn't made purposely for Leufa no Ue, but it matched somewhat with that album so why not. :) Thanks again
