I have no other options. I have searched everywhere to find baten kaitos music but this is the only site I havent tried. I desperately need baten kaitos sheet music for either piano or violin. The songs I want are:

Baten Kaitos Eternal wings and the lost Ocean:
Songs:
To the end of the Journey
Hailstorm

Baten Kaitos Origins:
Songs:
Le ali del principio
The valedictory elegy
The puppet master

If anyone can get me these songs I would be most greatful! :(

True Mirror is definitely far above my ability to transcribe for piano. I don't play Violin, so I'm not sure how do-able this is, but I found a midi file that has the violin as the main part for the first part of the song. Afterwards, I think it switches to a flute...so, I'm not sure how well that will work.

Sorry, as I'm not sure how much help this will be, but maybe you'll be able to pick the notes out you'd like...

Thanx I was beginning to think no one would answer. Do you need midis for reference or do you use a midi translator program? Because if you need midis for reference I can provid practically the whol ost!

Well, I can't transcribe perfectly to save my life. :( The only thing I would be able to do with the midis is pull out the notes of the melody...I've never learned music theory, so I have a difficult time creating a left-hand part to match (for piano).

The program that is easiest to use with Midis, in my opinion, is NoteWorthy Composer. I might be able to get something for you for True Mirror (for violin) but that's probably all I'll be able to do. I'm fairly familiar with True Mirror, since I listen to it a lot.

I'll try to see if I can get a decently play-able version of True Mirror for Violin for you. ^_^

Oh and for any of these song I will also accept the right hand for piano. I dont really play piano so dont frusturate yourselfs with the left hand. Do it with whatever instrument your comfortable with because I can traspose any instrument :shifty:

Let me know what you think of this so far. (Attached)

I don't play Violin, so I'm not sure if these notes are comfortable to play or not as quickly as they come, but it's definitely play-able on a piano.

Tell me if you'd like me to pick out a different part towards the end. If you've got the MP3, this trancription goes to 1:01 on the MP3 of True Mirror Guitar Version. If you'd like the faster part transcribed rather than those many measures of whole notes, let me know, and I'll change it before I continue on. I've got to find out which part would likely work best for the next few measures. @_@

If this is all well, I'll likely pick up where I left off tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll modify whatever part you'd like changed, and continue from there. ^_^

Dude you are amazing Ill attatch the real song! Every note so far is incredibly accurate! If the file is to large I'll send you to a link! Oh at 1:01 I think there should be a rest and then have it pick up at 1:10   :P :)

Oh and If anyone thinks that they can help me but need a midi just tell me! You can listen and download songs from baten kaitos 1 (eternal wings and the lost ocean) or baten kaitos 2 (origins)

Okay, I think this is all correct. Both the Guitar Version and Orchestral Version fade out after repeating the first few measures of the song, so I wasn't to sure how to end.

I just wrote "Begin to fade" where both MP3s begin to fade out, and the end of the transcription is where the MP3s both stop.

If you want a different ending, please just let me know. This one, I admit, is rather lame, but it's close to the MP3. If you'd like me to stop it somewhere else, create some kind of fancy ending, or anything of the sort, just let me know! At this point, editing is the easiest part.

If you also see any errors or such, just let me know and I'll try to fix them. There may be a few rest errors. At measure 85 (until measure 99), I used the Orchestral version instead of the Guitar. If you'd like the Guitar version there instead, just let me know...the Orchestral just sounded better there in my opinion. :heh:

But, it's attached. If you'd like anything changed, please let me know. Hopefully someone else more skilled than I can do The Valedictory Elegy.

No...there's no way I'd be able to do that by ear. :heh: I couldn't transcribe that to save my life.

I took the midi and opened it up in quite a few different programs. (I used NoteWorthy Composer and Guitar Pro) They'll map out each intrsument, but they can do weird stuff, add silly notations, and the such at times. So, I just picked out the most play-able parts during the song, and tried to make the music look as clean as possible. There were very few parts where I added some stuff in by ear.

I may give it a shot sometime, but I can't really promise anything. In some parts, the background just consists of whole notes or half notes. And, at other times, most instruments are playing the same tune. I'm really new to transcribing stuff, but I may go back and give it a look and see if I can't make a left-hand part.

I'll likely be using the Orhcestral version for a left-hand part, if that's okay. The guitar is really overpowering in the Guitar version, so I'll see what I can do. Don't get your hopes up.

I've really got to stop attempting stuff that I know is over my head. :\

After listening to the orchestral version, there just seems to be a bunch of quarter notes in most of the main melody. I believe that would be pretty easy, but the first four opening measures just don't sound right, no matter what I add. I tried some scales, but it just didn't sound correct. Did some "scale inventing" which didn't work out to well either. :heh:

I don't have a good musical ear, and there's a lot stuff going on in the Orchestral version, so I'll likely not be able to add a left-hand part. :( I've fiddled with it a few times, but nothing seems to work. Likely my lack of music theory experience kicking in. Sorry.

If you have time, would you mind posting a copy of the file here when he's done with it? I'm curious to see what I was doing so wrong.

When you post, directly under the text box, there are some smilie icons and 'Submit Reply' and 'Preview Post'. Right under those, there'll be another button that says 'Manage Attachments'. Click that button, and a pop-up box with your folders will show up. Just find the file, double-click it, and add it to your attachments. You can then close that pop-up box and it'll be attached! (Hope you can follow that...I'm not the best at giving directions. @_@ :heh: )

this is the link to the mus. for baten kaitos true mirror, but you see its much different than yours. its tempo is 100 and yours is 200 and it doesnt make sense if u try to make the right hand do the notes to yours. so i have a favor to ask you kitsune, can u make another version with the right hand so it can make sense?

Hey why does every just assume im am musically challenged? I have a fairly large musical background. It would be a snap to make the right hand go along with the new left hand version. Tails' version is a lot better though. I want to see if it Tails' versoin sounds good with this other guy's left hand version.-_-

I'm gonna give this a second go, as I've got something to work with now. :heh:

The main difference is, since my work was done at 190 tempo, his left-hand piece sounds uber hard when I bump it up to 190 tempo. I do have his notes to work with, though, and I have a good idea what I can do after his left-hand piece stops.

Anonymous, you may certainly transcribe this piece, as well, as I'll likely do something different from the current left-hand piece. Plus, I'm not the most talented transcriptionist (is that a word? ) so I'll likely just be using his notes as references.

It'll likely take me a few days, as I have a lot of stuff going on that's school related at the moment.

Tails Ketsune are you sure the bluelaguna.net is safe because I tried it and it said that it was a high risk cookie(i don't know why they call it that)if you would so kindly put a couple more songs on attachments I would appreciate it.

I don't believe I ever posted an MP3 of any Baten Kaitos songs, though my memory is pretty bad at times. :heh: The admins at Ichigo's would rather users not post MP3s in the forums, though. Sorry...

---

As for the transcription project, I think it's done. I'll attach the MUS file, and let you decide whether you like it or not.

Measures 1-2: The bass seems kind of wrong to me, but I couldn't get it to sound better. I referenced a midi file for these notes.

Measures 33-47: Finale doesn't let me change the left-hand part to a treble clef, so I put it all on the right-hand part. It's kind of boring in this part, but I made it to where the whole notes are your right-hand part, and the eighth-notes are your left-hand part.

Measures 75-84: Same as above. Whole notes are your left-hand part, but they had to be put in the treble clef.

Ending: Most piano pieces just don't fade into nothing. :heh: So, I tried a simple ending. If it sounds wrong, let me know, and I'll try to fiddle with it some more.

^^ Those seem to be the parts that are either boring (in my opinion) or sound slightly wrong. My musical ear is broken...If you'd like me to fiddle with it some more and see if I can change certain parts, let me know, and I'll try that. Otherwise, this is pretty much the final version. Sorry for the huge post. @_@

I was just googling for Baten Kaitos piano sheets and just created an account to access them here. Tails_Kitsune, you are officially my favorite person of the year for 2009!
