I have a general notation enquiry. What would be the best way to notate a rolled chord where the left hand begins the chord, the right hand then continues, and then the left hand jumps over the right hand to complete it (this should be done quickly, naturally). Simply write the chord and leave it to the performer? Write in LH, RH, LH in the stave?

As long as you indicate that it's to be rolled, then it's up to the performer's discretion. You don't need any fancy L.H., M.D., M.G., or R.H. symbols.

That said, little helping marks like that are generally appreciated by poor piano players such as myself. :P

:shifty: Then again, it's a treat when composers bother to write those stuff in. I'm not very nice, so I never write in those details. ^_^ And it's also like bow strokes for violinists: it's better to not put in markings so that it proves that you're more professional playing your instrument.

^.^ I concur.
