View Full Version : I'd like this version of Tori No Uta Transcribed
vorlik

I know theres many other versions that are already transcribed, but I really want this one done. I used a few midi programs to read the notes and I've learned quite a bit from each hand but the problem lies in which note from which hand is hit at which time lol >_>
I need this done extremely accurately, I know I'm being picky so I'll offer something in exchange if necessary! $$ ;)
Yes I'm really desperate, but that mp3 is so good >.<

I'll give this one a shot, I've seen much worse from a MIDI file. No money is required but if you feel moved to do so after all is said and done, I'm sure Gand would gladly accept any donations to the Ichigo community.
I'll be in touch soon, keep checking back regularly.

Thanks a lot, and good luck!
Also, I found a guy on youtube who said there was sheet music of that version on this site a long time ago.
Here's his video:

I don't know anything about that since I'm still new here, but I don't want you to do it if someone might already have it :O

I've listened to a few different versions of Tori No Uta... and that one that you've posted is the best out of all of them.

Flippin' heck, that's the one I did. I transcribed it from a fan-arranged version of the song, and then I took down the transcription because it's a fan-arranged version and I never managed to get permission from the site owner to put the sheet music on the net.
Porsche, please don't transcribe this from the mp3 :P I have the sheet music for it still which would have my name on it for transcribing, lol.

Well, that's the thing. I never got permission from the arranger.

So...if you can't get permission and you don't want Porsche transcribing...How do i exactly get some sheet music? O.o

Oh ho... so we're your sheet music factory, are we?

Oh ho... so we're your sheet music factory, are we?
C'mon man...you know he/she doesn't mean that you're his/her sheet factory. Porsche is willing to transcribe it for him/her, but you won't let him. Just let Porsche pm it to him/her or something...Don't think it's illegal to take someones mp3 and make it a sheet music.
Don't take it personal or something. ^.^

I wasn't trying to offend you. I'm just saying you put me in a tough situation. This was the only place I could think of where I could ask, so now I guess I'm out of luck. Also, I hinted that I would pay, so donating to this great site is no problem at all. Besides, this is the only thing I ask, I'm not going to be coming here all the time asking for sheet music, so calling it a factory is quite an exaggeration.
Oh and Happy Birthday Spoonpuppet:)

I was bored so I emailed the guy asking for permission...

Nyaa!? I'm honestly gonna kick myself! I only looked on the other thread regarding this sheet music whilst this one has the midi version on it!
Maybe you should try downloading the trial version of a program that can convert midi's into sheet music format (I use noteworthy: it was free and an extremely small file to download). Although it makes it slightly more confusing than a normal sheet music (for me at least), it may just be a lot quicker than waiting for permission from the arranger (or you could just look at it on your computer screen and play from that in the time being, then print Spoonpuppet-san's when it gets posted).
Heck, I write a lot...

AND I apparently don't read carefully enough! Sorry, vorlik, I left out that part about midi programs . Don't really get it though (the hand and timing thing?) It came out like a normal sheet music for me...?

June 10th, 2007, 04:51 pm
Lol. Well you see I've tried many of those programs and the problem with most is that they combine both the left and right hand into one line (the treble clef) which makes reading it really hard and time consuming. I did find one that separated it but it's still hard to read it, and if i made it easier to read it doesn't sound right. I'd rather have proper sheets that I know will sound just like the mp3.
I'll take a picture to show you what I mean.
http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5576/songdv6.jpg
I can read it but it's so time consuming...and I don't know if I got the right notes connecting in each hand. I know up until the end of that picture (it's the 2nd page)

Try Finale or Finale Notepad, both are really good

Both of those gave me both hand parts in one line only :(

You should try the soft "pdftomusic" : http://www.myriad-online.com/en/products/pdftomusic.htm
It's great and easy to use ! I got good results with it....

Actually... Uno indeed does give permission for sheet music transcriptions (albeit indirectly). On his site http://uno.nothing.sh/ scroll down to the bottom where it says
よくあったご質問 (Frequently Asked Questions), where it says 楽譜がほしい (I want sheet music), the response is
すいませんが、楽譜は一切存在しません。 (Sorry, but there is no sheet music whatsoever)
kazuiさんのサイトに、耳コピされた楽譜を一部おかれています。(However, Kazui-san here has some sheet music on his site that he did by ear)
Since Uno, like Tam and many others play by improvisation, they actually don't have any sheet music, but they really don't mind if someone transcribes them.

vorlik, if you dont want to wait, use this one --
pico-score.com
pico is one of TAM's piano collaborators..
click a button that says 音楽 on the left. click AIR button.
There are 2 arranges - one by k-pa (which Josh copied) which is the Piano Version 1 on some remix CD.
But to get to the point, pico has his own arrange which is at the bottom of the page

Yeah I saw that one. It's nice, but it's not very similar to UNO's. :heh:

Sorry about reviving this thread but I too am wondering about the sheets. I am under the impression Uno doesn't mind if someone transcribes and distributes it.
So can someone please upload them or 're-transcribe' them?
Thanks in advance.

Um...I made a mistake.. :(
On the first two lines, the low G and B in the left hand are supposed to be played up an octave. Just pretend that the 8va line continues throughout the left hand until the melody starts.
Sorry

It sounds fine, it's just that a few things are written so that it's really hard to play. I'll just fix some of the rhythms and put in a few ties and it should be fine. :)

I am making a more accurate .mus (and .pdf) version (direct transcription; not from MIDI). xp Just bored.
EDIT: Current Status as of 10:13 A.M. CST... Playback isn't that great, because of how Finale works. ._.

Sorry for double post... finished. I will post the .pdf later, unless if someone else does it... playback isn't perfect, due to Finale's bugs. Dynamics/expression markings are just in my personal opinion.
(What's the original composer's name? :S)
jake102- Clarinet request will be posted in my thread soon...

Excellent interpretation clarinetist! With all these versions, I will have the song down in no time. I'm actually near completion and it's sounding just like I want it to. I'm glad I made this thread. Thank you to all who contributed.

Ooo, cmon guys, you can do it xD! If i could transcribe music, i would, but I can't. Good job with your current transcriptions they're pretty cool!
The only problem with the one in the original zip file is that its really blurry after you print it out. I tried to print the .sib file, but for some reason, it wouldn't print.

I made Xorou's sheet music into a PDF... BUT I forgot to put the "ppp" and "tempo".
At least, it'll be easier to read. I hope its accurate to the jpeg images Xorou submitted earlier. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy playing.
