I'm new on Ichigo's, and I'm a new composer. I just started writing this piece, and I got about twenty measures so far. Before I continue with it I want to make sure it isn't crap, so can you give me some feedback?

EDIT: Sorry, I don't know how to do pedal on Notepad. Just try imagining it with pedal when you're listening to it.

Actually, the song sounds really nice so far. I really like melody, and the use of the full piano. The only thing I'm not so sure about is the very beginning, but I like the part at the end. Maybe more of an introduction into the song. The triplets at the end sound really nice, and could be followed with another set an octave lower.

Unfortunately, I'm not really good a chord analysis, so I'm no help there, but from what I heard, it sounds good so far!

Oh, you also might want to use the pedal for an added effect.

Can't wait to hear more!

Wow, this sounds really nice. Just as ComplexAudio99 stated before, I think measures 1 and 19 sound a little iffy. And yes, you should add in some pedal.

Nice job, though. :)

To create pedal markings (depressed and released) you have to click on the articulation tool -> http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o79/INV4IN/Articulationtool.jpg and then just click on the note you want an articulation to start and a box with different ones pops up.

As to the piece...
Don't worry it's a good start and there is a progression in the melody (which I like). I like to hear the rest of it. :)

Definitely not crap, but it could use a bit of editing in the harmony. It does have a good melody.

Yes it's not crap. From a glance, it seems you need more of the tonic in your harmony.

There is one note I do not like in measure 13, right hand 'a' of beat 2. Instead of an E natural I believe it should be a D natural.

Keep working with it and be sure to post the finished copy! :)
