Hey guys, just posting here my progress in my assignment
its called Gaia and the sections are split into Earth, Fire, Wind and Water
Just posting to see what more experienced people think..:unsure::heh:

Really messy, and there aren't a lot of solid chords. In your voice parts, there are a lot of nasty voice leading errors, as well.
Basically, just make sure you have a bigger variety of notes so that you don't only have one or two chords going throughout the song, because that's one thing that makes the song sound so messy.

Yeah, it's kinda boring. You need to have a melody with a progression, and then use that melody throughout the entire song, with subtle variations so it doesn't get repetitive. If you did I really couldn't tell.

That's okay, I was just testing it out :)
Well here is what I've done up to now, but I think I'll just stick to the second half of the piece

and yeah I'm very aware of the very err, disjointedness of it, as it was more like a medley ^__^

I like it right now. I think the oboe should have a bit more presence, since I believe it has the melody in a bit of your piece. When it does, I think the bass lines should quiet down a little in order to bring out the upper parts. :]
Just a suggestion.
