Anyone seen Pan's Labyrinth? I'm asking because I've begun transscribing the lullaby from the movie. It's pretty simple, but this is my first ever that I've done from ear. There are no MIDIs out there! x_x So, what did you think of the movie? Are you interesting in hearing when I finish my transscribe? So far, I've only gotten about 25 seconds of it done, but it's exactly as it sounds in the ending credits. I'm quite proud of myself.

I have never seen the movie but want to. I'll try and play the piece if you transcribe it. Readinig this post makes me want to go rent the movie. It is out on Dvd right? Oh and congrats in the transcribing by ear. That takes massive skills!

Yay! I finished! It didn't take as long as I planned... I actually finished like a few days ago, but forgot to post it! :heh: So, here it is. It's a GIF file, since I made it on MidiNotate Composer and you guys don't support that file type. I hope you enjoy! Please tell me what you think and any concerns with it. I can easily fix something if you think there's a wrong note in there. At the end, there are some pretty high notes on the left hand... so high that I put them in 8 octaves. It looks kind of funny. They're pretty close (and sometimes play the same) to the right hand note... you'll understand this when you play it. I put them with the 8 octave sign because the note looked waaay too high on the staff to recognize (for me, anyway). Again, I hope you like!

My friend tossed me the DVD and told me to watch it. So while my boyfriend was at work, I decided to watch it one night...

Yeah, big mistake to watch that alone. Mr. creepy eye hands nearly scared me silly.

But overall it was a great movie. :)

Has anyone who has seen this move also read "The Giver"? If so, did the endings seem somewhat similar in the ways that you could interpret them? Because that's what I thought after leaving the movie.

Also, thanks a ton for the lullaby. Though, it'd be nice for the left hand part to be in treble clef, but what you have here is also fine. Thanks again!

that movie was fantastic. the director guillermo del toro has such versatilaty. he can make good comic book movies (like blade 2 and hellboy) and then make a movie like pan's labyrinth.

his earlier movie the devil's back bone is similar in theme and the fact that it is set during the spanish civil war. i would recommend it if anyone liked pan's labyrinth

That kid-eating monster freaked the crap out of me. Man, once the thing spread it's eyes above its head did it. Stupid girl in the end. I hated her so much towards the end. I didn't feel sorry for her when she died.
