Napoleon is known for his romantic side along with the historical aspects of his being; thus why the literature, paintings, sculptures, and architecture he inspired and harbored are remembered, along with his love life.

When it comes to Hitler, it seems that unless you live in a specific area of Europe, all people will know of him is the war aspects of his being.

Another interesting thing most people don't know is that Napoleon was actually a rather good chess player. He took great interest in chess and considered it an inspiration for real-time battle tactics. @ Original list. I really enjoyed Cyrano de Bergerac as well... Though I don't think it can so much be described as a romantic relationship than an one-sided obsession for most of the story. Still a memorable story with a fantastic ending though.
