My faveorite is Sango that Hirikotus (sp?) is so cool I also like Inuyasha Kagome Shippo and Rin ^_^

After nearly being killed by Inuyasha, Sesshomaru takes refuge in a forest; where he is found by Rin, who offers him food -- including fish stolen from a local village's preserve, which gets her beaten up by some of the villagers -- which he refuses, explaining that he's a demon. Later, she walks in on a wolf-demon ransacking her hovel. He's trying to escape with a shard of the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls), but is found by his pursuer; Koga, the new Leader of the Wolf-Demon tribe. After taking the shard and killing him, Koga lets his wolves kill all of the villagers for food. Rin escapes immediate slaughter by running into the forest, but is eventually killed by the wolves. Sesshomaru smells the scent of her blood and finds her corpse. Tensiega then "demands" that Sesshomaru use it to resurrect her, which he does. Rin then chooses to follow Sesshomaru in his travels.

(I rather doubt that Sesshomaru would ever admit that he's "adopted" Rin. I am, however, inclined to believe that he must have inherited at least *some* of his father's loyalty toward humans -- although I doubt very much that he would ever admit *that* either...)

i think he adopted that little girl because Kohaku (songos brother) tryed to kill her and since kohaku works for naraku he's trying to follow kohaku to find naraku

Although... I'll have to disagree with some people. I find the dubbing to be TOTALLY annoying!! Okay, maybe it's better than some (anyone seen dubbed Excel Saga? OMFG) but I still believe that the Japanese ORIGINAL version is the best way to go.

However, I prefer the manga much more than the anime. Completely. I find that the anime makes Kikyou off in every way. In the manga, I can sorta understand her. But in the anime, I mean... it's no wonder she gets so much hatred, no?

Pshaw~ Besides that, the anime ended on a rather strange note. I've heard there'll be more OVAs, but episode 166-67 I found really incomplete, even though it was cool and... OMG. The voice-acting was PHENOMENAL!! *bows to it*

I'd watch the anime just for that prime delivery of "Mou sukoshi... sasaetete kure...?"!!111oneoneone

Anyway, I love the show <3 Completely, utterly love it. And I really liked the fourth movie. Who's seen that? Awww, the ending theme is adorable... *coos* But I might say that I preferred the third one most. I don't know.

I love Inuyasha and watch it every night when it's on even I have seen it a thousands times already. :whistle: I guess I love the action and the love triangle reminds me of me when I loved someone but he was still in love with his ex and all I could do was act like a good friend. :heh: (how sad) My fav. character would probably be ( besides Inuyasha, of course) is Sango because she kicks butt and she's not a re-incarnated preistess, a cursed monk or even a half-demon. she's just a human who fights demons with her friends

i used to love this anime but it just seems to go on for so long and it gets very redundant. i didn't even like the ending that much. hopefully the manga offers something better.

Well, I must admit animes never got my attention until I watched to 4 episodes of Inuyasha in a row. So, yes, it is my favorite above all other animes. And it made buy my first manga ever, and also watch and read other animes/mangas like Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin just as awesome as Inuyasha.

It is really sad that the TV series reached an end before the story actually ended. I hope they change their minds and restart it where it stopped. I am up-to-date with the story because I read the manga on the day it is released in Japan and I'm just loving it. Some things that happened to the plot after the TV series ended, are just vital! It would be just awesome to see them animated.

Well, we fans never lose our faith, right? So, I believe. =)

kikyo dying was a surprise. o.o i knew naraku was going to kill her eventually,but i just wasnt expecting it in that episode. and inuyasha saving koga without kagome asking him to was just........scary. :eek:

i LOVE the inuyasha series because it was the first anime i ever watched.kikyo dieing wasn't really surprising to me though because me and my friend already knew it was coming from this web site.

Technically, Kikyou was *already* dead! Remember that Urasue simply resurrected her body, and the angry part of her soul that raged against Inuyasha that resided in Kagome escaped and took it back. My guess is that Kikyou will now be considered one of the kami (Shinto gods) and will be worshipped as such.

Inuyasha started out pretty good, but now it seems to have degraded in quality. There are too many filler episodes and it takes forever for anything to happen. I also get the feeling that the characters are no longer developing to any real degree and the same old jokes are recycled a lot. Still, it has a lot of great moments. I like the Ryukotsusei and Tsubaki arcs and Sesshomaru is cool, though.

I think the episodes where the demons ressurected from being boiled and appeared in the modern world was where the series jumped the shark. It makes no sense whatsoever for demons to be edible. Surely there would be some adverse effects on the human body from absorbing demonic matter.

I think Inu Yasha is one of the most over-watched and over-praised animes out there. Please don't shoot me-I'm not trying to be mean or anything. The english dubb, I thought was decent at first, but the more I watched it, the more I began to hate it. The voices are so stereotyped and excessive with emotions. The animation is...ok....I never remember watching Inu Yasha and going "oh, whoa, that looked cool!" or "hey, that was really smooth!" The storyline is not one of Rumiko Takahashi's best. Even then manga drags on a bit. Though I've yet to see Maison Ikkoku's anime, the manga is MUCH more entertaining(although that one is VERY long as well) Frankly I don't like anime's that repeat themselves for 90-something episodes. It doesn't help that Inu Yasha is what?-the most played anime in America...that just is an invitation for the masses. To me, Inu Yasha lacks depth and....I would actually be embarrassed to show a non-otaku even ONE episode. Does anyone remotely agree with me?(the fish in the sea)

Indeed. The first few seasons were good (but not great), but somewhere along the line it started to decline with all those Shippo episodes that do nothing to advance the plot or develop any characters. Then there were the filler episodes that revealed that virtually every living thing as a corresponding demon, from bats to watermelons, made worse by the fact that some were filler arcs spanning like five episodes. Worst still, character development seems to have stopped dead in its tracks somewhere along the lines. It's taking a dozen seasons for it to accomplish what any good anime series gets done in a dozen episodes.

It has also gotten sillier over the years, too. I remember Naraku was slaughtering entire wolf-demon packs and wreaking havoc. The series had some serious drama and actually compelled you to stick around for the next episode. Now it's got silly filler episodes featuring watermelon demons that are somehow edible despite consisting of spirit energy! That's not even to get into the massive plot holes, such as how did the demons go from being ubiquitous to completely absent and regarded as ancient myth if they are so powerful, or why the demons age and have children if they are immortal (think of the bat demon two-parter and the grandfather bat or the very existance of Inuyasha himself).

Not too many people outside of Japan know what anime or manga is, so I'm not too surprised on (b). (a) Is just a given. Sadly, Illegal materials (in this case licensed anime) cannot be referenced at this site. You'll have to look on your own if you want to find illegal routes (which there are).

I do know that Inuyasha is available legally at amazon (www.amazon.com). You can open a small bank account, get a debit card, and use that to buy from the site.
