When people say that Japanese, Chinese and Korean are the same language.

(FYI for anyone who may not know (i.e. n00bs) The verbal language is totally different. As far as writing goes...

Chinese has only the Kanji.

Japanese has the hiragana, which has more curves. Almost all japanese text has at least one hiragana in it. It also has the Katakana, which, to the untrained eye, may look like Kanji. And the Kanji, which everyone loves! This was taken from chinese, but is a little different in ways.

Korean looks totally different, with lots of circles/ovals and squares. Other than that, it looks like the Kanji, and can be confused with it if not for the circles.

What really grind my gears....Hmm....
Is it meant anger?

Well, I do angry when it comes that no one face their true wrongs and always refuse that they're wrong.
And also, when i just don't know just one thing, they called me stupid especially my bro. <_< (Yeah, one time, he asked me about Physics question, and i needed to think for a while and then he shouted, "Hey! Why are you so slow to think?! You went to university and you don't know this?!You idiot!"
Yes, I am slow, but i need to think about the right answers instead of being hasty like him. I need to teach this 14-year-old-act-like-so-smart-and-think-always-right-brother for a while.)

And of course, I hate impatient or act-like-so-good arrogant people. I don't care whether it's game, test, exam or just a simple class question, if they're so arrogant and impatient, I'll just ignore them and leave them for their own future whether it's good or not for those kind of people.

As you can see, I played online games before. Such as MapleSEA (Not Maple Global.), those people are selfish, greedy, impatient, shouted like gangster... The first time I played, people are nice, and nowadays, people are mean in MapleSEA. Those guys really make me mad and they chatted like...in weird language.

And that's the reason why i quitted the game(There's too many rude people) and rather go for my drawing of inspiration animated art, or even studies and reading books.

Anyway, the final thing that made me mad, is......a Physic question?
Actually it does made me mad, and also mad at myself like "ARGH! I should have learned this thing!" A single quesion from my studies can even make me afraid, or angry.

That's all i can say, and by the way...

When people think Chinese is a language where it's actually split into Mandarin and Cantonese

Actually, as a Chinese, I think there are a lot of kinds of them, like "Hokkien", "Foo Chow", "Guang Dong" and many more that i don't really sure or don't reall know. It's just my opinion... So it's not like We speak only chinese, there's some chinese people speak in those language which i don't really understand as I know English the national language better than Chinese.)

When people think Chinese is a language where it's actually split into Mandarin and Cantonese.I find it terribly funny, but I'm sure this grinds the gears of some people:

When people think that the Chinese dialects (such as Mandarin and Cantonese) are the same as English accents (such as Hackney and Scottish).

Yeah, the inability of people to tell the difference between Chinese/Japanese people pisses me off too. Even more so, the french word "chintoc" that they call every single poor Asian dude that they see. Ugggh.

When someone hurts someone very close to me. It's one thing to come after me and cause me pain but to do it to someone in my family is completely wrong... I'd do anything for my family but it's just so absurd that some individual could cause such disarray.

One should teach *about* religions, like the concepts, ideals, and differences between them like the Catholic and Christian conflicts in the 1300s to Lutherism, Calvinism, Anabaptists, et cetera...

But one shouldn't teach religions, such as saying the Bible is the most awesome book and if you don't follow it you fail. Or teach the views of Christianity, forcing them upon the students. That type of thing.

What really grinds my gear lately? Creationism~ it's like a virus... undereducated people who think Noah took a few billion animals on his Ark. It really pisses me off lately.. -_-
The most annoying thing is that those people who claim creation MUST have been the reason why we're here have absolutely no friggin' idea about evolution at all.... /rant

Since you know so much about evolution, wanna tell me the odds that life sprang from nothing? It's something like one in 2,600,000 to the twelfth power. And that's if one DNA molecule is all it takes to start life.

That's what grinds my nerves - people who think what they believe is right and don't ever even consider anything else. I know what I believe, but I at least respect what others believe.

Since you also know so much about the universe, care to tell me what the odds are that a being amazing enough to create a universe sprang up from nothing? And then decided to create a universe where we sprang up? I'm willing to bet that it's higher than 2,600,000 to the twelfth power. Adding God to the universe doesn't make the universe more plausible - it does just the opposite. "Statistics lol!" is the stupidest argument creationalists use against evolutionists. They're arguing against themselves without even realizing it. And God (lol) damnit, does that annoy me.

Creationalists really grind my gears. <_<

The fact that I'm the only person in my orchestra taking Algebra 1 as a sophomore (freakin Asians! Why are they so good at math?)

And the fact that I have a test tomorrow in science with absolutely no time to study...

Lol, going from an emotastic angsty teen to crazed fangirl under three minutes! Young girls these days... read the PM and rules Dark_flashback, or risk getting banned.

When fellow drivers cut me off AND don't use turn signals. I mean come on, how hard is it to flick your left hand? And they wonder why I pass ahead and block them at 40 clicks, and when they try to pass I speed up to block their pass, having them end up in the wrong lane. Yeah I'm a dick on the road if someone else is being a dick towards me, but seriously if you don't use turn signals do everyone a favor and GTFO.

So that leads me to taking public transit in frustration of all the bad drivers here, but oh shi-, when the person sitting next to you stinks like a hippie who hasn't showered in three months? Guh.

LA LA LA LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

People located within the twelfth circle of hell, as they have somehow moved beyond the nine that exist (there's only nine, not counting the twenty-one different subdivisions; See: "Divina" (http://www.divinecomedy.org/divine_comedy.html) )

I wouldn't, but I do know the divine comedy is one of the few books that mentions the multiverse of afterlife in regards to the circles of hell. Even if I do include the horned book, the lowest level is nine.

uhhh, about the "Look at this hot guy" thing, uh I don't think he grinds your gears if you think he's hot :P so that shouldn't go in this thread dear~

What grinds my gear? I haven't gotten past the tenth page in Cyrano and finals are on Tuesday. Sparknoting makes me feel bad so now I'm going to sparknote and read and post it the crap out of me book.
@ Zero, drivers like you scare me. Oh and drivers who scream "FUCK YOU!" when you're on the highway and about to miss your exit so you cut in as fast as possible.

If you're a bad driver then yes, be afraid of me and start driving more carefully. I only think (legitimately) bad drivers should be punished. I go easy on the elders and veterans.

I don't like people that get it easy in life. You see there are these hard working people and they get sqaut, but then there are those lazy people who are laid back and do nothing but get it all. Like tests you study for real hard, then there comes this one person who hasn't looked in the book even once and get a great grade while the one who studied gets less than that. And theres also those that study right before a test and get a 100 while the person who studied all week and get a low A or a high B.

People who drive in the fast lane and go 60 mph grind my gears. Either drive faster or GTFO OF MY WAY. I shouldn't have to weave in and out of traffic to get where I'm going on time because freaking stupid old ladies don't know what the left lane on the highway is for.

So annoying.
It's funny passing them though, and then seeing like the ten people behind me pass them, and then seeing the moron old lady finally move over out of embarrassment.

Hey, I hate tailgaters. Maybe your one of them thats been behind my car on the road and then tailgates it! Nah, Im just kidding but I do hate tailgaters because Im just driving the speed limit and all of a sudden people think Im driving slow.

And about that last comment for shame. You go right now and study! Get your head in that book and just close it on yourself! Stop being lazy and study and then maybe you won't be lazy in the future. Once again Im kidding but really though crack a book once a while and then you'll now whats exactly going to be on the test.

If you think this post was a hate post please let me appologize for it. I don't me this hate stuff, but really though I hate that stuff. They're a pet peev of mine.

Hey, that's what this thread is all about... -_-

Tiny dogs. They're the worst. They never stop barking, I trip over them constantly, and they're not big enough to do anything useful.

Plus, I'm staunchly opposed to anything Paris Hilton has. =P

I hate it when I have to yell at somebody who is right next to me just to get their attention for about 10 seconds then they go on talking to the other person next to them. And I don't like it that most of the time most people ignore me when I try to talk to them or when they come in a room and Im the only in the room and they have the nerve to say there is no one here.

No, actually. But when I go out to eat and my friends don't tip, I always feel like I have to add more of my money so that the waitress doesn't get stiffed. Tipping protocol is something my parents were very careful to instill in me.

Crazy lane-changers. I'm talking about those people who are going 30 mph over the speed limit and lane-change every second. And then I laugh when I'm right next to them at the next stoplight. Silly weavers. XD

But above that, I hate it when people call me and then narrate funny internet videos over the phone. For hours. Those videos are MUCH funnier if I can actually see them, but then again, I'm complaining because these callers aren't interested in sharing linkies. All I hear is "Hahaha! He's singing a funny song!"

On a similar note, people who surf the web while talking on the phone are annoying. Okay, well, I'll edit that and limit it only to the people who are more focused on the interweb than talking on the phone. I mean, it's irritating to have to sit and listen to keystrokes for all eternity. ;__; I had this one friend who did that ALL the time. I guess I never really found a way to tell her how annoying it was. =[

Also, with me being a casher, WICs totally drive me crazy. I especially love it when customers start complaining when they can't cheat the program.~ ("No, ma'am, it says right here on your WIC chart that you're only allowed to get these items. And it says right here, in bold, NO V8 SPLASH.) This stuff usually results in a gianormous line of customers getting angry because I won't just give the customer ____. And believe me, if I could, I would have done so a LOOONG time ago. Unfortunately, because the customer doesn't have to pay for the items, he/she can't just go choosing whatever.

Ohh yes Telemarketers are evil people they call all freaking day long! I have a phone message recorder and a few days ago an Telemarketer actually left a message. She was young too probably had blond hair as well and said "Yeah we are selling Satilite dishes and want you to buy one". And they never stop calling too. Can't they just get the hint we don't want anything! You know there is the option of saying something funny to them like "Hello this is the Johnson Funeral home, and when would you like to pick up the body." Or something like that.

@ Pantalaimon10-Sorry I had to say something about them.

Um, hm.

I might sound hypocritical on this, but what really annoys me are people who get mad at you when YOU'RE mad at them.
However, I confess I do that often. XD

Another thing that annoys me: My inability to keep things in my head.
For example, just as I was typing this, I thought of another pet peeve and then I quickly IMed my friend, and when I came back to this window, I had done forgot what I was going to put.
And sometimes, I'll walk into the kitchen, and have a specific food item in my head. I'll stand there and then go "..Wait, what was I gonna get?" and walk around for a few minutes, and then just give up and go do something else.

OH YEAH, I just remembered what I that one pet peeve was.
It REALLY, and I mean IMMENSELY, annoys me when I someone just markets their insecurities in some sort of search for symathy. I have this friend who, on myspace, posts up bulletins saying "is it right for me to be in love with someone i don't know??" and then posting AGAIN "no one understands how i feel" and THEEN "i'm not going to talk to anyone but him right now".
ERGH. I mean, SERIOUSLY. I don't believe in falling in love within a matter of days. I just don't. To me, it takes time. I also just...can't stand how she's trying to play some sort of victim. And broadcast it to everyone. Gah.

Okay, I'm done ranting. XD
