I've tried to play it by ear, but I can't get the low parts right, so if anyone can do this, again, it would be really appreciated.

Note: If writing the sheets is too much work, would anyone be able to write out the chords (kinda like a fake sheet). Also, I've seen a lot of Solo instruments (like Clarinet) request this song, so It would be interesting to write the Melody staff in Eb (in a C instrument), so that anyone who wants to play it just have to transpose it. I think the song itself is in Eb.

Anyways sorry for the long post, but if anyone is able to do this request, I would be eternally greatful because I would like to play this with my friend at our annual music concert.^_^ Thank YOU!

I searched through 21 pages and I couldn't find any arrangements for Wizard's Waltz from Howl's Moving Castle so I assume it hasn't been requested. Could someone please transcribe it or at the least, direct me to a site that has this? Is it really that obscure compared to the other pieces :huh:?

Nah, you're being quite helpful :) Kinda off-topic, but have you heard the Piano Sings Japanese Animation Themes album? I have sheet music for 5 of the songs, I guess I could attach the other three even though this is a request topic. They are handmade transcriptions after all and I think some people will find them interesting. I also tested and they can be imported easily to Finale with a bit of editing and tiff conversion :)

Btw, I think the arrangements on that piano solo book are pretty uninspiring for 'piano solos'.. :P

I found a beautiful version of The Promise of the World from Howl's Moving Castle on youtube and with a bit of searching I happened to find a Midi of it! And for some reason I can't open it through Finale Notepad. x_x I keep getting an error message and then it shuts down. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before? Is it because there's something wrong with the file? Or Something wrong with my Notepad? I have Finale notepad 20008 if that helps at all. I would REALLY like to have sheets of this version! And I just want to know why it's not working. Please help!? :cry: I'll attach the Midi too..

Isn't Nausicaa's Requim on this site? Check the sheet music section. I'm sure I got it from there.

As requested from a couple of posts back, I transcribed Country Road from Whisper of the Hearts. This is a flute quintet, but most of the flute part is based on the vocal, with the exception of the last 15 or so bars, being the real flute line. If anyone actually attempt to play this in a chamber ensemble, it is advised that the viola part is playing by two violists separating the double stops.

If anyone need a transposition for this piece, feel free to tell me.

Does anyone know where I can find Path of the Wind cello sheet music.. or ever better, a cello viola duet of Path of the Wind sheet music?(which I know would be impossible to find... but if anyone happens to know please tell me)

It's not that hard, well to me at least, but it's extremely chordy. Don't go wild with chords, I don't think many piano players like playing a hell lot of chords, (with the exception of Rachmaninoff), and chords with lots of jumps is just finger-hurting. ;___;

But none the less, I think I'm gonna try it for the fun of it.

To hieth: If you go to one of the sites on my sig and find the scores for Howl's Moving Castle, you'd probably find the notes of the 16th notes somewhere on there, if that helps. Finale and Sibelius are good music notation programs you can use, search them up on Google.

To Kami aka Megumi: Conductor score for that song probably does not exist, or so I highly doubt. You would probably have to request someone to make it for you or something.

I have looked all over the place, and finally found an arrangement of "The Legend of Ashitaka" (Ashitaka Kouki) on the web. UNFORTUNATELY, it is wrong in one critical place: the part where the theme from "Young Man from the East" is repeated. I've tried several ways to fix it using my limited knowledge of music theory, but nothing I've tried has worked. So now I'm going to put it here and hope someone can figure it out from the sheet music. When someone does, please let me know, I will be eternally grateful.

Honestly, I don't think so. My ability as a transcriber is limited to being able to pick out the melody of a piece on a recorder and write it out in quarter notes. I'm an arranger because that way I can take a pre-existing arrangement and change it around. I'm working on my transcription though. I'm just not anywhere near that level yet. And I might suggest that we move this discussion to regular e-mail so as not to clog up the thread. You'll find mine on my website.

I found another Tonari no Totoro midi that I have never heard before. I didn't find any sheet music similar to it so I arranged it for piano for anyone who is interested. The original midi will be up as well.

(The cue notes on the sheets are optional.)
