Please may I ask what this place is? I joined because I wanted the Howl's Moving Castle sheet music (thank you so much Totoro35!), but is this a kind of Japanese cartoon fan club? Because that would be SO cool!

Here's the MIDI for that song. I converted it from the MP3. I'm warning you though, it's kind of messy. (But not really that bad when you compare it to some of the crap that MP3 to MIDI software pops out)

@Kohaku I got Teru no Uta finished. It's not the entire song though, because I got stuck. This is a pretty crappy arrangement and I probably made alot of mistakes but here it is. :heh:

Well, I'm new here.. and this is sort of a big request, but if anyone has heard the Piano Sings Japanese Animation Theme version of Yasashisa ni tsutsumareta nara (it's from Kiki's Delivery Service), I'd love to get my hand on the sheet music of that. I've found sheet music for the original piece, but it was really, really simple and didn't sound good at all (from joehisaishi.net). I can send the mp3 of the piece if needed, unfortunately there's no midi around.

Btw, someone requested Stroll and I happen to have it from the same Piano Sings Japanese.. album. The arrangements on the album are very, very good but they might be a bit different from the original (and that's exactly why I'd like my request filled :P). The sheet music is done by a guy called Pseudo:

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=0EDF4A685838705D

Edit: added it as an attachment since YSI only lasts for a week. I also put up Itsumo nando demo from the same album

Thanks for the midi, although as I said I'm looking for the Piano Sings Japanese Animation Themes version (http://www.books.com.tw/exep/cdfile.php?item=0020076807). It might be a weird request and I don't really expect to anyone jump on it, but it's such a great arrangement of the song :\

Not to sound ungrateful though, I opened up the midi and it's pretty similar to the one I already have as sheet music if you remove the third piano track (can't stand the chord banging in that midi :P), although not as annoyingly simple. So I can definitely work with that.. thanks again!

Here's the crappy & apparently official sheet music for the song as well.

Nah, you're being quite helpful :) Kinda off-topic, but have you heard the Piano Sings Japanese Animation Themes album? I have sheet music for 5 of the songs, I guess I could attach the other three even though this is a request topic. They are handmade transcriptions after all and I think some people will find them interesting. I also tested and they can be imported easily to Finale with a bit of editing and tiff conversion :)

Btw, I think the arrangements on that piano solo book are pretty uninspiring for 'piano solos'.. :P

i have one version of the sheet music (the path of the wind) but it is really easy and the left hand section is almost non-existence. i tried to transcribe it myself and the result was simply a disaster. = = i haven't got single music cell on me.

PS. is transcribing the provided file impossible??

Why don't you try Josh's version. Go here (http://www.alphatrance.com/0engine/music/anime/), and scroll down to My Neighbor Totoro.

EDIT: kikkeli and I posted at the same time.

Lavender, you can download Finale Notepad here, which you can use to open .MUS files :

It's free, although you have to register to the site to download it (it's quick to do anyways)

Thank you so much for your help, however, that is the theme song to the movie called 'The Rose' and it's not the main theme. I don't think that there is a MIDI of the Main Theme (which is a shame because it's piano only). I have just joined this site because I have seen how reliable you all are. I have been searching for years (over 4, I believe...x_x) and I think you guys have the best to offer. Maybe these sheet musics I am about to request are avainlable online, but I have failed to find any of them. I will request just one for now, but maybe we can get more. ^.^ The one I have wanted since day one...:heh::think:

I was hoping someone could direct me down the path to find the sheet music to the sond titled One Summer's Day from the Spirited Away movie. I seached this entire 10 page forum and did not see this song be requested or found. I am hoping someone either has it already, would enjoy making it, or have a site with it on it. I would prefer the One Summer's Day file to me in .MUS format, but if it's not, that's cool too. I really want the piano sheet music to it so I can learn to play it. I am very interested in it. If anyone has it or ANY Spirited Away sheet music, please let me know. THANKIES TO ALL! :ichigo:

I have indeed read everything that the others have posted and all the people you list (and adding a few) all seem to be very sweet and entertaining people. I enjoy them even thought I haven't spoken with any of them yet!! :P

The one thing I do hope is that someone (any of them or anyone else) has some SPirited Away songs on .MUS files so I can print them out over Finale Notepad as well as play them back to myself to check them out and see how they sound. *crosses fingers and prays* :neko:

Well, this really is a different calibre of transcription request! I could do it, but it's the sort of thing I get paid for. It would take a little time and if it's a free job I would probably just do short bursts of it here and there because obviously clients have to take precedence in order that I can eat and have shelter!

To everyone looking for the Laputa Suite and Studio Ghibli sheet music:

I looked on the internet for places to buy the sheet music and came across something interesting.

It's a site that offers a lot of Joe Hisaishi's work, not only from some Miyazaki films but also Hisaishi's own solo piano pieces, for download. It's in French but if you just click on the titles you can see the pictures and sometimes a bit of English to tell you which film it is.

Here's the link: http://www.joehisaishi.net/partitions/

I have a feeling, however, that this could be illegal so mind what you download. Interesting for a free taster if you are planning on buying any of it though.

And I'm currently transcribing (and it's tough) Toki no Uta (Song of Time).
