I noticed a long time ago that Disgaea's Whisper of Hell was requested here. I started trying to transcribe it by ear at the end of last summer, about a week before I went off to college, got the first few measures done in my free time, and had to leave. I came back, and noticed that the request sort of vanished. I'm not the best at going by ear, so I'm having trouble transcribing the bottom line. If there's anyone here who is interested in helping me transcribe the rest of the piece, I can provide the little bit I have (plus starting today I'm going to start working on it again) and the mp3, but as I do not have a midi, it will be by ear.

@azarath: I have finals EVERY DAY for the next two weeks @_@, so I'll try to work on it when possible. (I'm not kidding; 2 weeks of straight finals for Spanish, and a 2 day straight final for English, then Math, then Geography).

When you print using Finale Notepad, switch the printer to "PDF995" ;) .

Both of these midis aren't that clean (it sounds like 3 arms are playing, 2 of which are playing the right melody, and a 3rd which sounds like a little sister banging on the piano while you're trying to play :P), since a friend was doing his best to help convert an mp3 to midi. I've also attached the mp3 that will hopefully help in clearing up the melody of the 2 midis.

The sharing is not the problem. When you're such a low and dumb person as to take someone's work and replace your name with the person who actually did it, that's what the controversy is.

Look at the Tori No Uta Uno Version thread... He takes a transcription, fixes some errors in it, and then says that he transcribed it...
In another post he said that he was not able to transcribe the song since the sequencing in the midi was all messed up and stuff. Then, conveniently after someone has transcribe the piece, he fixes the errors, makes some changes and
and then we get Tori no Uta Uno version transcribed by clarinetist. :cry:

The difference is that he /fixes/ them. What the other guy did was a binary copy of the exact same file.

To be honest, about that Tori No Uta one, I transcribed it by ear later since I was bored. :heh: It was actually easier to do that rather than looking at the confusing MIDI and I noticed some errors on the first version. -_-
