Sometimes, I might find that the MIDI is "compressed", meaning that ALL instruments (including Percussion, if any), were split into 1 or 2 staffs. When this happens, I will post on this topic that it is compressed. If it ends up being compressed, and I can't convert it, look for a different MIDI file. I ALWAYS include Dynamics, any possible Articulations, and tempo markings. All tempo markings are the exact tempo as in the MIDI file.

clarinetist, since you're in high school and I know how strainful it can be, I'd just like to post this message to the veiwers.

For people who have midi files of music they want to play, download MidiNotate Player (google it). Then use MidiNotate Player to open the MIDI file, which will now be transcribed in notation form. Then you can print out the file.

However, I would not suggest this method if your MIDI file has several instruments. This will result in an insane amount of paper wasted because of an unnecessary amount of staffs for several instruments that will never be played. (With me, if this happens, I end up copying the notes from the file and transcribe it myself to a format that I can play it in. If you're not a busy person or if you just happen to like writing sheet music, you can follow this methodology, too).

But, please, before you go out posting stuff in here, try this method first. Okay?

EXACTLY what I do. There is one disadvantage to this, though. If it's compressed (where all the instruments are smuggled into 2 staves, INCLUDING percussion,) it would be pretty hard to do that. I notice a compressed MIDI at least 20% of the time. ;)

Sorry, haven't been in Ichigos for about a week now... I have exams here and there, and 2 music projects, one due the end of the week, and my composition project.

Sorry, haven't been in Ichigos for about a week now... I have exams here and there, and 2 music projects, one due the end of the week, and my composition project.

I promise, there will be a ton of requests done during my holiday break (starts on Saturday). I'm sorry that you feel that we skip requests, but we (at least, I do) work on all at the same time, and the ones we finish first are the easiest ones.
