Hello!

I've recieved a few reports of a few errors on the site, typically falling into one of these categories:

1. Typos or grammatical errors
2. Dead links (both on the links page [which should be all fixed] and on various pages throughout the site
3. Inaccuracies in the sheet music

I need your help! If you have some spare time, please take a look through the site and make sure there are no typos or dead links! Also, if you have extra time and REALLY want to earn some awesomeness points (:lol:), sample some of the sheet music or midi files to verify the accuracy.

Well, um, I don't know if this is an inaccuracy, but there's a part in 'Eboshi Gozen', Mononoke Hime, when the left and right hand collide. That's just something I noticed, anyway.

Gand, in .hack//SIGN music, the piece "Broken Wings" is supposed to be "Fake Wings." It's kind of Subaru's unofficial theme song, because fake wings refers to her being *SPOILER*a paraplegic*end spoiler*.

Erm.. actually... that's right.. that's a transcription I did of "Broken wings" which is a different version of "Fake wings" for piano.. it's on OST 2 I think.. :heh:

ok, so while browsing through ichigos.com statistics, I saw a ton of referrers that didn't make sense (random blogs, etc)... so I went and checked it out. Seems a lot of people like to leech midi files for their bgsounds. Sneaky X_X

sooo, I implemented a mod_rewrite rule that should block most of that. What I'd like you guys to do it to double-check that the site still functions normally, especially when it comes to the midi files. Make sure they play, etc. I've tested it and it seems to work fine, but the most testing the better!

Seems to be working. There were some Escaflowne links that didn't work before, but they seem to be okay now.

errr.. a few of the .mus files I've dl dont seem to work (notably :: SorrowAndSadnessPiano.MUS ) probably just my FInale thingy tho..

It might be just me but at times when i click "Submit modified post" it takes me to the main page on the forums... im not sure but i tohught id say it here

Hello - I don't mind helping out with proof-reading and stuff where necessary :) I don't mind checking out some of the sheet music as well. I think perhaps the best bet would be if people doing sheet-music checking/proofing could post up what they've checked to avoid duplication of effort? :)

That might be a file made with a newer version of Finale. It probably doesn't work for you because might have an older version of it.

It seems to me that the pdf version of Amor Tristis from Ah! My Goddess won't show up. I've tried opening it up several times, but it still won't show. All I get is a blank page, nothing else.

I highly doubt that it's my adobe acrobat because it works fine on the others. Then again, I could be wrong. :think: Please look into it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out the problem. No worries here! :heh:

looks like the image for onlyanime.net was broken... but it seems fine now

Are you sure that Broken wings is really Fake wings? I have an mp3 of Broken Wings and an Mp3 of Fake wings, and they seem different to me.

They are different.. X_X Just that the melody of Broken Wings is based on the one from Fake Wings. Okay, end of matter.

IS it just me or are the arcade scores messed up. I know gand reset them but I'm #1 in two games but it shows other people as #1

I've noticed that the first few notes of the "My Will" midi blast out while the rest plays at normal volume. Just thought you might want to know...

Wow surprized I saw this in the game music Chrono Trigger's song "Two good friends" is spelt wrong its spelt "To good friends." I can tbelive it I saw something!

It seems to me (and others as well) that EveryHeart (mus version) is on the fritz. It said that it was an incompatable version. That would also be true with Eternal Snow from Full Moon Whatever.

But when I opened My Will, for example it worked fine.

Every Heart was made with Finale 2004, so you'll need the lastest Finale Viewer to open it

That's called the typo of forgetting a T =P nothing grammatical.

In Tooi Kono Machi de for Card Captor Sakura there is an error in measure 78. In the bass part there isn't four beats in the measure. And after listening to the MIDI, I still can't figure out what's wrong. I think there's an eighth rest just before measure 79. But I really don't know.

I notice that the Final Fantasy VII song Interrupted By Fireworks has its first gif file sheet music page a bit elongated. One would have to modify it at Paint like I did to print it out without have a big space that covers half the page.

you need Finale 2005 or Finale Notepad 2005 to open them. 2004 won't work.

And you've got the Full Metal Alchemist pieces mixed up ~ It's supposed to be Kyoudai for Violin and Piano, and Wakare no Kyoku for Piano only. And the first link for Kyoudai (midi link) doesn't work because you've linked it to a .mus file while isn't there ~

Yeah that's because of the way the db is queried.. I'll make a code change to fix those.

I don't think this has been looked at... it is just kinda me being picky, but it'd make a lot of newer muscians happier. I'm sorry for the rant! ;.;

I think the whole score feels really sloppy. The left hand crosses over needlessly where it'd be much easier to reach the note with the right hand. For an example if you look at second measure the left hand has the C# and the F natural that crosses over the right hand akwardly. That should be in the right hand with the 2nd and 5th taking over what the left hand is crossing over for.

It'd be nice if it could get fixed... I'm not very familliar with notepad so I can't really fix it myself... otherwise, I would've fixed it and posted a link.

Dante from Fullmetal Alchemist sounded a bit off to me. I don't mean to be so picky, and I hope I don't seem too harsh... but some notes that should be sixteenth notes are eighth notes on the transcription... :\

I thought that there should be vocals right above the piano part. (though no lyrics, since all you really hear it Hoah, woah, .etc-_-) And since some notes sound a bit wrong, I thought I'd make a little bit of the start...

(i.e. Neon Genisis Evangelion redirects you to Evangelion). If you click on the redirection link it takes you to a page but does not bring you to the section that you were supposed to be redirected to. It will take you to a page but with no links to any music midis/sheet music. Here is a list of the names of the anime that have this problem:

Yes and No, the reason why it is misspelled is because that's how it looks like right now in the FAQS <_< .

on IRC theres loads of text first(no biggy) and the time said 9:13 when its 17:13.

Ha! And the text is meant to be there. It displays lots of information:

Who is on now,
What server,
Who is server operator,
Server message etc.

This is standard. If you want more information go on the first button (think it is called Status) and type /list. It outputs more information like what "rooms" there are currently and how many are in them.

I don't think thats what he meant. The faq says differently from the real restrictions.

But 19.5 isn't the real restriction. That's the restriction for those that choose to upload a signature TO Ichigos, ie not using an external host. If they upload it to another host, you can use the full 50 kb.

This subject also affected me in the early years so I'm very interested.

Okay. From the prompt at the bottom, you can only upload a 19.5 kb file to the Ichigo server, and it attaches itself to your signature. Or you could go to an image hosting site (Photobucket (www.photobucket.com), Imageshack (imageshack.us), xs.to to name the popular ones), upload it to that host, and in your signature text field, paste the direct link to your image enclosed in url--here tags.

This supersedes the server upload limit, and allows files up to 50 kb.


Realistically, a signature file doesn't have to be greater than 19.5 kb in size. Simple JPEG with proper quality settings and you can get the picture file to be quite tiny. My own signature may not be stellar with color or gfxs, but it's very close to 10 kb. But that's all besides the point, which was answered above.

Ah I see now, if you use Ichigos to upload your sig, it's 19.5 kb, but if you use an image hosting site it's 50kb

There's two Japanese words in there (katana and sugoi). Now wonder, do you need to use them? In the case of katana, yes, there's no proper English tranlastion for that word and most people will know you mean a bended Japanese sword. Sugoi however, is perfectly translated to cool. So you can use katana, but you should replace sugoi with cool or something similar in English.

I don't see the problem with the layout, but it is possible that something bumped it. Can you make a screenshot?

I gave that little adbox on /sheets a try to see how it would do, and actually that little thing generates more clickthroughts than the main ad, even though it's non-obtrusive. I will see what I can do about fixing the music list so it centers, though, because that can be irritating (i didn't notice due to adblock!).

Press the printscreen button on your keyboard then open up Paint. You should be able to paste (Edit -> Paste or C-v) the screen image at the moment you pressed printscreen in there.

Fixed the broken image. The gender thing went away with this last upgrade, but honestly I don't think it's really necessary to have that printed on each post. If you would like to know the gender of the poster, then open up his or her profile.

Passions is Called Sanctuary in english...its confusing to see passions and hear sactuary.

But the name of the sheet is what it was transcribed from, and the sheet that it was transcribed was called Passions.

Names aren't changed because they "sound wierd". They are kept for respect of the author.

It's not plural, It's just Passion. And it is the same song as Sanctuary, the two names are basically just aliases, except they're both the real name. (...? :P)

I would understand if you are trying to listen to Passion, with Japanese lyrics, and you get the English lyrics instead, you might say, "Oh, why isn't this labeled Sanctuary?" If that was the case, then there would be no point in bringing it up here, where copyrighted mp3s aren't even allowed.

If someone did transcribe that song, you can't say that it is one or the other, because they each have the same notes. What I'm saying is, you can't tell what name it should be called because there are no lyrics to say which language it is in.

It was written by the Japanese, and the song with it was written in Japanese. When translated it used the same notes, but the sheet music is still Passion.

End of arguement please. If you wish to discuss this further bring it up in the relevant thread - this is for site issues.

I've recieved a few reports of a few errors on the site, typically falling into one of these categories:

1. Typos or grammatical errors
2. Dead links (both on the links page [which should be all fixed] and on various pages throughout the site
3. Inaccuracies in the sheet music

I need your help! If you have some spare time, please take a look through the site and make sure there are no typos or dead links! Also, if you have extra time and REALLY want to earn some awesomeness points (:lol:), sample some of the sheet music or midi files to verify the accuracy.

The rule is designed for two purposes: First of all, this is an English forum, so it's expected that if you can understand English reasonably well you can participate in discussions. This means you shouldn't be posting in German, Japanese, ig-pay atin-lay or any other non-english language. Secondly (and here's where we've been running into a problem) noone should be interjecting words for the sole purpose of having the word there.

Chrono Trigger-Magus' theme- Midi is too fast, the sheet music should be in 4/4, the intro octaves should be whole notes, the melody intro should be moved down an octave with an "8va", the chord that moves into the 13th measure should be a "ADA" chord


Chrono Cross- Time's scar- the midi is also fast, It is unecessary for the piano to have 2 bass clef lines, the piano's bass line needs 8va's BADLY.

I'm not sure if this question belongs here or not, but I'm having trouble opening up midi files. I'll click on it, the Windows Media Player will pop up and say "opening media" or "connecting," but nothing happens. So I go to "file" then "properties" and it says "0:00" under the time. Then if I click on "Media Usage Rights" it says "This file is missing media usage rights." Does anyone know what to do? Is it the site or my media player? It worked fine a couple days ago on this site, so I don't know why it wouldn't work now.

I'm having trouble opening the pdf file for 'God Knows..' haruhi suzumiya song. It opens a new tab but doesn't actually load anything. I tested a few others and they seem to work. Is it just this one playing up or my computer O_o?

I never said that the users could no longer be paired together. Users are free to make the choices they want to. Having the support of the staff is another thing.
