At the moment I'm reading Tithe. Even though it's at times highly disturbing and out of this world sick, it's okay!
It isn't out of this world sick! It's in this world sick. That type of stuff truely does happen. Maybe one day you will realize that. Hopefully not from first- hand experience. <_<

An analysis and rejection of western societies ideas about good and evil along with our ideas about god. Going on to chritiscise the route taken by christianinty. Offering a new path with a cellebration of the 'now' and thinking of self and giving power.

I read The Da Vinci Code. It was highly enjoyable and well written. I like the fact that all people involved had their own motives and beliefs, and were all people of the same kind - but on different paths. I don't get why Christian people get so furious at this book. They shouldn't take it all so serious and just read it for pure entertainment.
I thought the whole "Mary Magdalene" thing on the Last Supper painting was brilliant. The Yin&Yang comparison of her and Jesus (clothing-wise) and the threatful hand at her throat too. Even though I don't believe it is actually Mary instead of John on there, it was written in a way it could be so. The whole "0,618" thing was also interesting =D

"A Dictionary of Wit, Wisdom, and Satire" - Herbert V. Prochnow
=] It doesn't have a storyline but I think its great.
Free speech - the right to argue about issues you dont understand.
Pity - Often a perception of our own troubles through the woes of others; it is a clever anticipation of the misfortunes which may befall us. We help our neighbor to make sure of his assistance under similar circumstances; hence the kindness we do others is in truth an anticipated kindness we do to ourselves.
Hatred - The cowards revenge for being intimidated.

I have tried to read Sabriel, but I found it boring. I think that book was the first one in which I actually started but never finished reading. I only continued as far as five chapters because the person who recommended it to me said that it will get better. To me, it didn't.

Re reading Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov.
-I was the shadow of the waxwing slain
-By the false azure in the windowpane;
-I was the smudge of ashen fluff--and I
-Live on, flew on, in the reflected sky.
-And from the inside, too, I'd duplicate
-Myself, my lamp, an apple on a plate:
-Uncurtaining the night, I'd let dark glass
-Hang all the furniture above the grass,
-And how delightful when a fall of snow
-Covered my glimpse of lawn and reached up so
-As to make chair and bed exactly stand
-Upon that snow, out in that crystal land!
Brilliant.

I read em both, just re read angels and demons (read the davinci code along tome ago so....)
I liked em both, maybe the davinci code alittle more (but perhaps since I read angels and demons afterwards it might have seemed a little repetitive) A&D is definetley more movie-ish but and the davinci code is alot more complicated (which is something I liked).
Im just now noticing I want to re-read the da vinci code... damm book.

I recently read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. It's about a guy who doesn't realize he's unhappy with his life until he runs into a strange girl he found bleeding on the sidewalk. What's so awesome about this book is that it doesn't turn into a guy-saves-girl love story. It's more.
I'm currently reading Wicked. It's like a really warped side of the Wizard of Oz and takes a closer look at the wicked witch of the west and Glinda.

I agree about Neverwhere. I love Neil Gaiman, he manages to pull off strange worlds with really interesting storylines. I recommend Coraline, also by Neil Gaiman, even though it's for younger kids it's still a cute, if not slightly odd story about a girl who goes through a door in her house and ends up in a different world ruled by her creepy other mother.

I read Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier. It was very bad 1/10 I'd give it. Poor plot structure, failed to acheive any sense of romance. The rising to the climax took too long and the climax ended too soon, and the book itself had an abrupt ending. However Charles Frazier's writing style and technique is superb.

I doubt it if I've read Lolita, Ulysses, and the Stolen Child.
It's a classic, just like Gulliver's Travels, so you should always be refreshing the story in your mind.
Try reading it Objectively, and you'll see a lot of things that the story is quite complex. Doing research of the author and his surroundings also enriches the story. Then again, I'm a bit of an alice fanatic.

Catcher in the Rye, Great Gatsby, and Of Mice and Men are three great classics everyone should read at least once before dieing.
I have gotten dystopian fever, so I also recomend such books as 1984 and Fahrenheit 451. Also, speaking of such authors, theres The Martian Chronicles which is a great put-me-up into reading because its a bunch of short stories.
I have a list of hundreds of classic books that I need to read from [I got it from my teacher], and Ill see what I can fish up when I find it...

Gee. I never read books. I find it too tedious. XD But lately I have really like this book called "A Swiftly Tilting Planet". Much better than the award winning prequel in my opinion.

Very nice book, from what I did read 'fore my sis took it back.
Now I'm reading: A Knot In the Grain and other stories.
It's as long as it sounds. Basically, it's a giant advertisement for the authors other books. :\

I loved that book. I read the whole series. I think it was a trilogy but I'm not sure. It's pretty cool though.

Les Miserable - Victor Hugo
Johnathan Livingston Seagull - Richard Bach
Both great books, while Livingston Seagul seems to be a childs story when you dont really think about what you read.

That book was so 'meh', I couldn't understand why everyone was so over it (Da Vinci).
@RD: Livingston seagull is in no way a childrens book =P After you're done with it, I suggest you read "illussions" by the same author. It's a book that will make you (or anyone else for that matter) think!

The Joy Luck Club.
Pretty funny sometimes.
Chinese translations and "pin-yin" (if it's even supposed to be pin-yin) suck, which is weird considering the person writing is Chinese.

Well, I read part of the Bible every night (lol, not the whole thing!)
Other than that, I am reading this crime book (Want to Play? by P.J.Tracy) which is about these crimes being copied from a computer game. Won't spoil it for anyone who wants to read it. Also, Fermat's Last Theorum, by Simon Singh. Strangely enough, it's about Fermat's Last Theorum, and how it was finally proved by Andrew Wiles! Woo, he rocks! :D
