I decided to make an AIM buddy icon with it and it has my char, Verentis, using Thunderbolt. It's awesome. XD IM me if you want to see the icon: Miragelord is the S/N.

Actually, the max speed you can have is always 140% and the max jump you can have will always be 120%, so no matter what you do(scroll shoes for speed/jump, truster, equips, haste, etc.), you can never have more than those numbers. I'd love to be able to help with the teleport with the mage vs. archer truster + max haste, but I don't have an archer friend that happens to be 70+. =P

Just joking.....you have to play w/ us to know what the hell I'm talking about, right Han? :P You know, I noticed that when I play w/ my female archer people automatically think I'm a girl (well I play as one w/ my archer so that's understandable) but I also noticed how people approach me differently when I play my male character or my female character. W/ my male mage, people like to party me a lot (because I'm a cleric) but I never really was offered a guild invite until my friend offered it to me. People are usually nice to me though I seem to get more attention from guys then the girls character so my buddy list is mostly filled w/ guys and I do get into fights w/ other characters (all males) sometimes who think they're better than me. (usually it's other mages, go figure) For my female character, I noticed that people are a lot kinder to me though. I get partied a lot, almost more than my cleric and way more guild invites as well. I was offered like 6 times already and I haven't even hit my second job advancement yet. Guys are always hitting on me though, wanting me to be their maple girlfriend :bleh: and one time I was actually called a bitch because I said no (I'm no girl but that really pissed me off even more so since I'm a guy <_< ). Also, male characters tend to give me gifts like when I went to sauna for 499 mesos, some guy gave me not one, not two, but three blood snowboards..... for free! Why? Because he said I was a cutie and wanted to give me something. Oh.... if he knew the truth. :lol: Also, more girl characters want to buddy me so maybe people like to usually buddy characters of their own gender. Aw..... you missed it han....when I was training w/ my friend Wes, we had some cleric ksing us in ant tunnel and wouldn't leave so Wes asked for a favor and got his friend who was a priest (in the 100s if I remember correctly) and started to use all those 3rd class skills I can't wait for my cleric to one day use. It didn't work at first because apparently this did nothing more than amazed the guy so he sent for his other friends. I don't remember the levels exactly but ah man were they strong....3rd class strong. After that, pretty much everyone on that channel ran away leaving the area to us. I should had taken a picture but the priest had my attention and I can't record (since I don't know how). It was something else watching 3rd class people fight together. :)

Oh yea, I was playing last night and there was ALWAYS at least 2 f***ing hackers in HHG I. And two of the times this guy was making the monsters vac to the bottom, then start levitating towards the center of the screen, in midair, then they'd fall, a few seconds pass for the KSers to kill them, more vac, more levitation, etc etc etc. It was so hilarious..... most of the hackers ran once they were reported. >_> I took a few screenshots of it, but I didn't upload them because I was laughing too hard. >_>

The enemies at the excavation site drop a lot of useful things, amongst them are 60% scrolls, like Overall DEX, Wand/Staff MATT, and Glove ATT, which can sell for a lot of money if you get lucky. "IF," that is. :P

Oh, does anybody know if archers actually BECOME stable?! I mean, my base damage is 13-75 or something, and I hit anywhere from 1-121! It's SOOOOOO annoying.....

NO. Stays like that throughout AFAIK. Even now with my main archer i'll hit from 60-400 with arrow bomb.

Crap that sucks. Archers are even MORE unstable than Sins..... but they get better attacks. >_>

That's until we get mastery for it but it won't be maxed until lv 35 I think so until that time you'll have a hard time easily killing anything. Did you max bow mastery Hantony because if not....tsk tsk tsk.

I'm working on it, It's about level 10. I wanted some basic use of each skill to get a sence of practicality. I don't use guides so I don't know these things. Good thing i have my special buddy ;)

I added all points to 'bow mastery' for 2 levels and yes he does hit better now :)

See? If you would have waited atleast to lv 35 (your first point can go into arrow bomb) you would have long passed my cleric in levels but atleast now you can fight better on your own. =) We had an archer join us for a pq in ludi as you can see so maybe now they can take you though it may still take awhile. I just do it to get some good equip for free and stuff so maybe if I get something useful for an archer I'll give it to you.

Here's somewhere you can train if you're atleast 40.

-Hidden Street: Lorang Lorang Lorang

Recommend Level: 40+ (good for lightning mage)

Monsters: Lorang (Crabs) (very good spawn)

Guide: Go to "Florina Road: Lorang Lorang". For those who do not know how
to get to Florina Road: Lorang Lorang, head to Victoria Road: Lith
Habour, go find an npc named: Pasion, and he will teleport you to the
beach (i think you need to be at least lvl 30 and above to go beach).
When you are in Florina Road: Lorang Lorang, get to the HIGHEST POINT,
at the centre of the map. You should see a BIG BIG "Sea Shell", go into
the centre of the "Sea Shell" and press up, you should be in
"Hidden Street: Lorang Lorang".

-Florina Road: Clang and Lorang

Recommend level: 40+ (good for lightning mage only)

Monsters: Lorang(red crab), Umti(turtle), Clang(green crab) (good spawn)

Guide: Go to "Florina Road: Lorang and Clang", go to the far

the right entrance, use your hand and count the tree. Now go to the 2nd
tree (from right side), jump up on the tree, you should land onto a
hidden platform. Press up on that platform..... YESH!!! You are in another
secret places "Florina Road: Clang and Lorang".

I'm going to tonight. I was getting them but I got accepted into a party to pq as you can see from a few posts back and got distracted but I'll make sure to get them when I get back on tonight to train my archer. It shouldn't take that long w/ my cleric. They die rather easily for him.

Edit: Okay, I did a quick play through until my mom and little brother came home and got like 80 so far. See? Doesn't take much to get that many though I wish it dropped it for everyone I killed. I killed like 300+ and just got that many. :\

YAY. I also need 300 jr pepe's fish, 5 diamond ores, 50 luner pixies moon pieces and probably a lot more. Meanwhile i'll sleep and do homework :)

My Cleric is level 18. In half an hour, in HHG 2, I gained about 40%. Another hour tomorrow and he'll level, with some percent left over. I'll go finish up the stupid quests then. >_> His claw is so crappy..... only level 4..... but everything else besides Bolt, Guard, etc. is maxed, so..... meh.

Anyone wanna guess what level the new equips are gonna be or what monsters will drop them? I wonder if the next patch will deliever a new area, preferably Zipan(?). I've heard that if KMS (Korean Maple Story) doesn't get it, neither will GMS... -.-;; Can't wait 'till forth job, either. =P

Omfg I'm so lucky. I looted a Golden Egg off someone and there was 10k EXP in the egg. I jumped about 50% with it. My mage leveled so fast..... It was so awsome.....

I completed all the event crap and went training with my friends. It was so fun. We rampaged HHG II at first for the egg crap, then we ditch one of my friends and run off around the world for training. >_> Isn't life grand?

My mage is either level 21 or 22 now. I think 22, since his claw's level 16. Yays.

This easter event is really boring. All the key places such as HHG1 and perion are full and the quest itself is just stupid at level 40. i'v done it once and the item is pointless. the new world is good for now, march of the noobs.

A lot of people, actually. =P The awards are definitely worth it... I mean, if you can defeat the boss and get to bonus, the bonus holds scrolls, summoning bags, and some other stuff... You can sell those for a lot of money. =P

Also, to kill Zakum is a HUGE accomplishment. And plus, tricking a newbie and sacrificing their @$$ for your own benefit's great. . . . Um..... how DO they sacrifice them.....

Well, in the beginning of the PQ, there are these rocks that will drop you earrings that protect you from some unknown force that will automatically kill you no matter what if you don't have them equipped... =X I mean, you can use a level 70+ person, but I doubt they'll actually do it. Anyway, in order to make it to the next stage, as I've explained before, you need to sacriface one person in your team. To do so, the person will jump unto a platform(without the earrings equipped) and die no matter what, hence, the team moves forth. Your guild members can come in at anytime regradless if they die, just so long as it's not the party leader.

EDIT: Holy s***. I just rushed 15 PQs in a row with almost the same party throughout. We were so incredibly good at it..... I leveled only once, got 4 Overall Def scrolls (Wtf.....), Dex Gloves, Dex Overall, some other crap, 6 Black Crystal ores, 16 Opal ores, 8 Garnets, crappy earrings, etc..... >_> It was so fun. We got a record time (for us) of 6 minutes 10 seconds or so. ^_^

Geh I hate PQing with my friend. I tell him I'm PQing CURRENTLY when I'm IN a party and he asks, "Can I PQ with you?" So he won't stop annoying the hell out of me until somebody in the current party leaves and we need somebody to come in. I live the loners life when i'm using my archer. Works great most of the time and i can tell all my buddies to 'do as i do' or more bluntly 'fak off, i'm busy'.
The only help i allow is divine because he is a special buddy and is stronger that me so it saves time.

Not really.... the best thing you can do is change channels and hope there's a lot or any for you to kill. Let's not forget the fact that they won't drop for everyone you kill...... it's really annoying.... I never bothered w/ that quest because of the time it would take because of the skins. ._.

I go to a place near the dungeon. It has lots of octopus things as well though. It's ok for levels but remember your potions and a party will help. If it's on bera i can show/help you out for a while.

I know where the best respawn area is, but the problem is that it's filled with the stupid green eggs and ham. >_>

That green portal thing is indeed the area to Repree, which would happen to be the area where you can 4th Job Advance. There are tons and tons of new monsters there--however, the key idea is this: The 4th Job BETA testing in Japan is just about done... In turn, when they do finish over, they'll release the patch in Korea, shortly afterward, GMS will also receive 4th Job Adv. <3

When 4th J.Adv. comes out, Zakum won't be much off a match; all the attacks are so freaking powerful(with the expection of the Warriors(poor warriors)), it's not even funny. Hurricane, Bahumaut, Ifrit, and Smokescreen. =P All powerful additions to the MS world. XD

Meh, I got pressured into starting a new character on Merdia or something. He's a fundLESS Luk Bandit named TKDarknessX. In about 3-4 hours worth of playing, I leveled him from nothing to 12 with 62% or so. ^_^ He's so awsome..... oh, anyone know the stats of the Bandana they're giving away.....

God. In 2 hours, I leveled 3 times. Level 15 now. Going to level to 20 by tomorrow evening and get the Genesis Bandana. Anyone know the stats on it?

Divine and myself just spent 3 hours training with the hope of reaching level 20. Both on level 17 now so i can get to level 20 in about another 4 hours, then i'll let you know.

three very interesting things occured to me today:

1) Someone asked me to give them money--I simply said no...and he called me a hobo... Hello? I'm level 50 with level 50 equips... Do I look like a hobo?...

2) I was KSing a noob theif with my friend, Brett, at Sakura Cellions and he called me a noob... Hi, there? I'm level 50... 8 more levels then you... And I'm the noob? (On the sidenote: I KSed him off.)

3) I refused to leave my party to help some noob mage at level 23 gain 28%... He calls me an asshole... -.-;;

I was on channel 1 on Mardia in Henesys by the taxi. There were so many people begging for money..... I said,"God, so many hobos....." Or something like that. No response from anyone. >_>

I just found one of these things too... sucks when ya have some piece of crap that ya dont wanna drop cause ya never know if ya might need it. But then again i aint lookin to get married up in here either!

I seem to be on the new world mostly now with SockHands. Magicians have an easy start.

Yea. My friends were being d***s about the fact that I chose Luk Bandit on the new world while the three of them chose the trio of mages. Course, in 3 days I leveled from nothing to 20 while it took them a week to do that, so I can laugh in their faces about that. It's interesting, what I find out about the human race.
In other news, I've been doing final PQs today. Whoo. Got some pretty nice stuff out of them, too.

I ALWAYS get ores or potions.

I only get the stupid, useless DEF scrolls...and ores... -_-;; PQs can get rather annoying...especially if you rush it and get in 12 times in a row... -_-

That sucks. I've gotten..... I think 5 Overall Def scrolls (Which nobody will f***ing buy..... =_=), 1 overall Dex that I sold for a nice price, pots, pots, more pots, ores, ores, ores, ores, ores, ores, ores, earrings, earrings, yea..... Too many stupid ores.

Thanks to my dad, I died at Evil Eyes. It sucked. I lost 5%, then gained 4% back from a stupid quest.

My record rush was 15. My record clear time was about 5 minutes 30 seconds. ^_^

Geez. This crappy mage asked me to train them at Ant Tunnel, for some odd reason. I was walking out from completing a quest or something when she started stalking me. I decided to train her for a bit. She started shouting out some REALLY weird things to the other people. I ditched her. >_> Normally, I prefer to train alone, just because.

ok ya i know generally thats considered lazy however you have to think of this: one minute you were a lvl 49 and could kill a,lot of stuff and then the next minute you can't kill any thing cuz your are too low.

That's true: When I started a new sin on a different account, I got bored pretty quickly, since everything took forever to kill and I could hardly do anything--Hence, I'm just going to get my first mage to level 90 before I have to worry about anyone else, since my sin will now be able to throw at least Steelies once I get to level 90 one my mage, and my low-LUK mages will get a maple weapon to equip. =P

I was happy on Maple Story until I found out I'm within the few over 16 TT.TT... yup, being insluted and called n00b by 12 and 13 year olds. It was a sad period. No one helped me. Then I went to FlyFF, where the community was much nicer.
And that's where I am now.

I once met this hacker who was accusing my sin friend of hacking just because she knew how to back throw.. -_-;; He was vaccing the items and using the Invincible Force hack, too, and he says she was hacking. I got really mad, and got into the arguement: Not like I'm going to let some hacker-nub to get my friend in trouble because of his own ignorance.

How about getting defamed by someone you asked nicely to cc or party: Someone randomly came into my channel when I was training in Amoria and getting a lot of cash, so I asked them nicely to cc. She was like "Why don't you?" and then I gave her the warning that I was capable of KSing her. After a bit a KSing, she gave up and defamed me. >=O So...I got on 3 other characters on 3 different accounts to defame her. =P

Just goes to show you how harsh the MS community is, although there are also plenty of people that are kindly and sincere.

Exactly the reason i'v gone back to Silkroad online. No fame system and no item vac hacks seem to exist, just botting.

Truthully, I think that the MS community is one of the worst online communities ever. =/ I have good friends, but there are a lot of hackers and nubs that are just plain stupid.... -_-

Some day last week me and my friend were off to train at Evil Eyes when we came across a hacker. He felt like stalking him, so we did. >_> After getting about 10%, we left.
I went to see Zombie Mushmom. I couldn't freaking hit her. She hit 600s and killed me because the stupid Jr. Boogie weakened me. It sucked. A sin was attacking it. The first time I went to see Z. Mushmom, a Ranger came and Strafed it to death. It was so cool.....

I started it a few days ago with Kaori and Suntao. Appart from never knowing what stats to increase or where to go to find quests and item it is a good game. It plays like silkroad but i'm yet to lagg and o'm looking forward to being able to fly :)

In flyff you have no choice but it's not a problem because the monsters do not hurt just by bieng near you (unless they have a red name.)

Ah...so, you have to invoke them first, huh? That's a good rule... Sucks when you're in the middle of a mob in MS and you can't hit the right monster, but all of them hit you! -_-;;

Can't KS on FlyFF unless you KS a party member which would be pointless becaues your all of similar level and tend to have alto share on exp distribution. What i like is that theres a channel just for Pking and you can put a bounty on the person that last killed you.

Awesome. That's no where close to what Ragnorok does, where the person sends you a PK battle challenge, and you're pretty much forced to battle him or her. Their battle system is also very interesting. You basically holding down I think crtl then you click on the enemy. The battle lasts until either you or the monster is dead... <.<;;

In FlyFF you challenge a person but can refuse to fight. You have a ranking and karma level that changes with wins.

I got bored of MS too easily. Takes too long to level, and it becomes really repetitive. Only killing things, with a few (hateful) jumpy things. Like the laser one, the tree one. I have no patience so they weren't the best things for me...

And I must say that for the short while I played, the MS comunity really does suck. I was training by myself once, and this random guy just defamed me. For no reason. I didn't get it. Then either his friend or the same guy using a different account came and defamed me. Then there are the hackers, the unhelpful people, the stupid n00bs, rude people, flamers......Only once did I meet someone nice. I was like, level 25 or something in Ludibrium and was just following this super strong fighter or something and then he just asks "Are you just sightseeing?" and I'm like "uh yeah...sorry!" so he gave me a scrolly thing to get back up the top. If only all people were that nice...

As much as I like MMORPGs, I get bored too quickly. That's the main thing. And and the fact that I have no time XD

lol Yeah, most of the higher levels are nicer than the new-comers, mainly because they are wiser than the nubs that have just made new characters. It's not easy finding some low-levels(40 or less) that are really nice...So, yeah.

Nope. I started playing 2 days ago and all i'v done is KPQ. I got 3 levels, 4 scrolls, 7 earings, 60 screws 15 pure water, 15 unagi and loads of ores.
Currently level 29 magician names sockhands on maridia(sp) :)

Finally! I got my lionheart. ^_^ Training will be easier since it's rated fast then the other swords w/ normal for speed. I'm doing KPQ too but I'll try some obris ones until I get a little stronger. I can actually kill a bunny now ._. not as graceful but at least I can. Currently level 35 page named Kitsumimaru on maridia as well. Look out for my shop in Free Market sometimes. Of course that's only if I go afk for a bit. :\

As so few people play on maridia it's almost impossible to form a team for high level PQ and yet really easy to get into KPQ :)

They give a lot of money though. like 250-350 meso and they're not too hard to kill either if you're a bit strong.

Use the tails for the item exchange thing. It will give you some weak potions to use/sell and the 500 EXP. Best thing to do is store the tails with your mule.

The mule will never need to go further than lith or to do any simple quests so just get the hat and chair.

I finally got NX Cash in MS. My older brother bought me a surprise 10k NX card today, and I bought a tuxedo and teddy bear. XD Oh, and of course the shop permit. Hrm... I actually try to level my mule for two reasons: Getting to at least level 45 (or was it 42?) will enable the Jane The Alchemist Quests and the Icarus Cape Quest. So, I can just use those for money. ^.~ Otherwise, raising a mule is practically a waste of time. =/

^.^ Wow, just training at aromria gave me some lv 40 and 50 lv stuff for free. I got 2 sliver crusader helm (50) (sold one), 8 power crystals, 9 elixirs, (2) dark shoulder mail pants (50 female) (sold the other one too), lv 50 earrings (the heart one) lv 40 warrior shoes and a str scroll for 100% (used on cape). :lol: I killed some many kittens for wealth and power. :heh:

Heh, maple weapons and equips are out since the patch. ^_^ I got lucky and got a maple wagner from bubblings at kerning city subway but I ended up selling it to my guild leader for a small price of 200k (though she gave me 250k ^_^ ). I so... want to get the maple hat one (level 30). This one guy wouldn't let me sell it and I'm glad he didn't. I would have brought it for 500k. =_=

I'm doing all the elimination quests, they seem to have the maple items, just not sure about curse eye.

Nah.... I like maple story and the guild I'm in is actually starting to get strong people now. (We started a level standard so we can guild party quest and we already got a few third class players) Besides, it's chibi (favorite style) and I worked too hard on my character to just go to another game like guild wars.

I always seem to get the olar olar event where you can't jump and you just follow the ropes guessing the correct path. Problem nos is that i have to get my warrior to a person that deals with scroll of secrets and the only one i can think of is in Ludi.

Noncence. A month or two of playing can get you to lvl 50 if you fight the right monsters and PQ like crazy.

Yep, true that Han. Look at us on the rankings. We leveled up fast from training like crazy on good monsters and pq like crazy. Maybe it's the benefit of Mardia having more free maps and more chances to pq due to it being a newer world. Don't forget the 2exp days we got. :D

Those God forsaken doubles were no help at all. To benefit I would have had to stay up until 11pm just for then to start which is not something I was prepared to do.

Well, I tried it out today, and...well...I already uninstalled it xD

The lag was horrible (I'm behind a traffic shaper, so I have issues with most online games, so that's not MapleStory's fault), but the way that MapleStory failed under lag tells me that this game is very much exploitable. (I mean, come on, the CLIENT does the hit detection? Are they insane?) I know nProtect and online GMs can help, but I personally am not very fond of games that have fundamental exploits that require people with big sticks to keep users honest.

That, and I need to avoid games in which your standing is inversely proportional to your time spent in real life >.>

I don't see the point when you already have it on your PC along with all the other games you can get. Modern handhelds are simply to please computer addicts.

1. If it does have wireless capabilities for chatting, I disagree with the first statement, if it doesn't have it, I totally agree with you. (Unless the game is exclusively for the handheld.)

I'm lvl 50 but i'v gone back to victoria to help out Kaori and the guild. Anything i should prepere for in the near levels? Should I start getting the items for the lvl 70 job advancement? (whatever they are)

The items for lv 70 job advancement (3rd job) is a dark crystal. You can get these dark ores from those bunnies i know from eso tower in ludi. You can also get them, if you're somewhat rich, from Free Market, but they varies alot in prices and cost a lot of meso. The cheapest I've seen so far is 150k a piece. I need one for sure but hopefully if I win an event in my guild (the person who has the best story gets 10mil, others get 1 mil) I can start buying them. Be warned though, you can actually fail this because you need a dark crystal for the quiz part of the test and if you fail it, you have to start again and get another dark crystal. X_X

Getting rare items if not fun. Blackbulls deed to the land, glass shoe, flaming feather, ancient scroll and all those sort.

It's used for equipment creation but you gotta check what materials is needed. Go see at ellinia or whatever if you have the time and check your lv or higher for item creation. You'll see a black crystal might be needed for it.

I believe I've lost all leveling motive. <.< I don't feel like leveling anymore, because grinding really just gets on my nerves... -_-;; I spend more time talking with my Maple GF...than again, it's always a lot better talking to friends than grinding... ^_~

PQ itself is grinding but it's much faster that fighting w/e.
