That looks interesting too. Hero was just the perfect thing to wash the taste of AvP out of my mouth. It was extremely stylistic with an interesting story and very good storytelling. You never really knew what was going on until the end.

They sterilized the hell out of it. Apparently there isn&#39;t any problem with showing neon green blood but I can&#39;t remember a drop of human blood in the whole movie. Just don&#39;t go into it expecting anything the quality of the Alien or Predator franchise.

Perhaps the biggest let-down was no acting talent. Without a Sigourney Weaver there&#39;s nothing to carry the movie through it&#39;s weaker moments.

I only ever saw bits and pieces of it. The only movie that was so bad I couldn&#39;t stand watching it was Daredevil. I got to the part where he saw Electra&#39;s face outlined by raindrops and by that point it was so horrible I just turned it off.

I&#39;m not sure what bugged me about Daredevil. It&#39;s not like I can&#39;t watch vacuous action flicks, after all, I sat through all of AvP (I swear, that&#39;s the last time) but it just seemed too cheesy to me. Then again even Spiderman bugged me with the way they changed the comic to be more commerically acceptable so I tend to be bugged too much by bad comic transitions anyway.

Daredevil did have an extremely cheesy air to it, and I thought it tried way too hard to be Spiderman.

I&#39;m not overally fond of comic book movies really. I will be looking forward to X-Men 3 mainly due the rumoured change in writer (if you know me well enough, you&#39;ll understand why that&#39;s a good thing...)

Don&#39;t get me started on X-men. After the excellent cartoon version (the old cartoon version) familiarized the mainstream with the X-men how could they expect to completely change the story and still pull it off. Granted they pulled it off better than expected but I&#39;ll still always imagine Rogue 10 years older and with a Southern accent.

Hmm... we&#39;ve just racked up another page by ourselves. (mostly by ourselves, can&#39;t discount Paradox)

The movies ruined my image of Cyclops though. They couldn&#39;t of picked a worse actor for him. James Marsden? Come on&#33;&#33; What were they thinking?

But you do have to understand that it is a different medium, and they are trying to attract a new audience. I would most likely get pissy if they changed alot as well, but would also come to terms of it by thinking it is a &#39;separate retelling of the X-Men legacy&#39;.

I do the same with the Resident Evil Movies and the Games.

Ah yes, college money. That&#39;s something I&#39;m particularly sore about right now (although the postal system is a bone of contention too).

@Alex, yes they ruined cyclop too. Rogue was always my favourite character though so she&#39;ll always be the biggest travesty in my eyes. If we want to talk about ruining characters how about Storm? I actually don&#39;t think Halle Berry&#39;s fit to play any role. I do understand that they&#39;re entering a new medium ( something I don&#39;t think most IP&#39;s should do anyway) but obviously they should try to appeal to the fans of the series too.

The more I think about cross-media properties, the more I admire Lord of the Rings.

Finally, a kindred spirit. I hated all that with a passion. Tolkien was a worthy writer but not an exceptional poet.

Edit: I&#39;ll admit to crying (well, tearing up anyway) twice during the LotR movies. Boromir&#39;s death and Faramir&#39;s near death. In fact Faramir&#39;s near death is the one moment that stands out to me in the whole trilogy as being the best.

I can&#39;t really say I do that but I still think that that moment is one of the finest in modern cinema. Doing it with just a simple song and with the steward being completely unaffected was brilliance.

Comapare it to the new cartoon, I think it does fairly well. At least it followed the comic and made it more accessible to a non-comic reading audience.

hmm, I got a wireless Intellimouse Explorer for my birthday (upgraded from my oldschool 1st-gen explorer)... it&#39;s really nice, but I&#39;m having problems getting used to it... anyone else use this or other wireless mice?

I use a logitech Wireless mouse. It was top of the line when I bought it but it&#39;s second or third now that the bluetooth mice and the mouse with the receiver/charger came out.

That&#39;s just where I noticed problems with my mouse. It could even be the speakers right there or the big piece of wood in between or even the stacks of paper that always pile up right beside my monitor.
