Nowadays we have muslim terrorists for that. And I&#39;ve read a lot about the USSR and it was far from pretty. In fact, most people lived in poverty back then. Hey, I&#39;m not saying Russia is the same, okay? You can&#39;t go OMG USSR WAS THE BEST because then I&#39;ll whack you on the head and say you&#39;ve been indoctrinated by communist propaganda. The USSR was not a happy place to be, you could be arrested and brought to death for no reason, there was no way you were allowed to have your own opinion on matters etc etc etc.

Oh, I have no problems with the word that describes the act itself, and it might prove useful for others to be accustomed to it, but our society, advance, humane, and liberated as it is, still places a strict limit upon the range of subjects the act can be committed with.

To be fair, the USSR did have its share of contribution to the world. For example: good Tom Clancy novels, Red Alert I and II, The People&#39;s Republic of China, etc etc etc. Which country only has pros but no cons, anyway?

The people&#39;s republic of China (or rather the party&#39;s dictatorship of China) has nothing to do with the USSR, they became commies on their own.

Of course, without the USSR we would never have had one of my favourite films, the Hunt for Red October :think:
