Ava 8/10 Its clean, nice and the art is purddy! My only problem is the white chunk up at the top. Fill it up!

Sig 7/10 The text is somewhat hard to read. And the background...What is the background? Its a bit bare in the upper right too. And the girl was blured around the edges...

Ava 6.5/10 Its soo dark! And also, theres only two main colors so its really hard on the eyes, seeing how one of them is a hard blue.

Sig 7/10 The two characters in the boxes seem a bit out of place, and it is still a tad to dark. The border is well fixed compared to the original though, well done!

@RD, for my bg, i started w/ black and white filter-render-clouds. then, new layer and a base of black abstract/grunge brushing. did 3 more layers of white abstract/grunger brushing set in overlay and lighten, and another 3 layers black abstract/grunge brushing set in lighten and overlay.
then, color balance
EDIT: with the text, i was trying to go for a lord of the rings look XD
didnt go that well cuz i realized i set in under the color balance layer <_<

Thanks. Believe it or not, I got it from an InuYasha fansite pretty much as you see it. I just shortened/lengthened and shrunk/stretched it to avatar/sig proportions and added some text to the sig.

Updated my set. Features my favorite character in a certain game. Guess what game this guy is from.

EDIT - I just realized my signature's image is 150 width, whereas limit is 120 px. Darn, If i resize it, it will be 3 sizes smaller. I'm hoping it still stays up (since some signatures i've seen have text under their signature image which adds up to more than 120 px width total.)

I can't do anything about that.. that I know of.

I use GIMP.. and how I got that.. is I went to; Filter --> Light Effect --> Sparkle.. then, once there I marked the "Add Border" and used the coloring of the background (black)... I don't think I can make it smaller.. and I havn't figured out how to make acctual borders... >.<

for borders, you can do stroke. thats for photoshop, not sure about GIMP.

if all else fails, you could just draw it in w/ a small brush.

then, again, i dont even know if gimp has brushes.

i think using changing the feather options will fix that choppiness.

or you could try cropping with the pen tool.

If you havent been using IE, there would be no white box around it. Download FireFox (or if you must, Mozilla) and the shite spots should be tranceparent.

The sig itself actually started on a 400x120 canvas, but i felt there was too much empty space even w/ the brushwork. I guess I didnt take into consideration that decreasing the empty space would make the bg look too busy ><

when you're resizing the render, press cntrl T, but while resizing it, hold down shift, so it doesnt end up looking too stretched.

I like the border and background, but i think instead of lowering the opacity of teh render, you should add a vector mask or something to blend the edges of it into the background for a smoother transition from render to bg.

when you're resizing the render, press cntrl T, but while resizing it, hold down shift, so it doesnt end up looking too stretched.

I found another way. Instead of resizing it by pixles do it by percents. Took me a while to find that option...

Lionheart: I say I like the Impulse and Lacus, the most definite thing you should have now is a boarder, after you get used to Photoshop, you should try making your own backgrounds too after.

try brushing it w/ some white abstract brushes and setting the layer to overlay.

Umm... Have any links to good brushes? (Ive been doing everything by hand, so yeah... *hehehe*)

Well.. I like the second one with the animated rain (because I don't know how to do that. :P).. but the first one's nice and crisp with the colors.. So.. hmm.. I don't know. I think I might go with the first one.

I like the first one since the image is more clear.

The first one. The rain effect is nice, but not smooth in motion.

9/10, just lower the opacity of "T.V. lines" on it, and it will be a 10. Its just to defined.

I dont think tweening a lot would really work for a rain effect because it will only look like it in one place at one time, then it slowly dissapears and moves to another place. I think you will be better off taking your time and doing all by hand (I think..)

But (yes, a but) you will get a more exact and cleaner look. The only problem I find with the rain effect tuts people make is that each layer the drops are random. They arnt even transistions of drops from the previous frames.

RD, I like your new banners, It looks like you've improved alot. Good job ^__^

But Don't forget to add some special mark or your name on your banners, because someone might rip it or steal it. -_-

XD Weird, im working on a Gundam transaprent signature!...

I like it. I REALLY like it. My only problem is the transition from monochrome to bright and glowy is a bit much. Make the girl (the transparent part at least) a bit darker :P 9.7/10

Acctually.. that's where the black from the two seperate backgrounds I made are.. I dont really know how to change it without redoing the whole thing. I used the gradient tool... thingy.. then I did another background, and mixed them up..

you cna just create two new color layers, one with one a light pinkish(try mix magenta,red,and maybe yellow) and the second color layer perhaps a darker pink like magenta.
then, appy a filter--> cloud on the darker pink color layer.
you can play around w/ multicoloring w/ the lasso tool and image-->adjustments

Oh. I'll mess around with that then! Thanks.. How come though.. PNG makes the file really big? It's over the limit.. but when I save it as GIF it's smaller... but GIF and JPG give me choices when I go to save.. I'm not sure what they all are.

After seeing SF's cloud sig, I decided to make an FFAC sig too. XD

yea I had problems with my program lately, the fonts keep screwing up....it was pure white, but when I saved the sig, the font blurred

with the border on your sig, you might want to do a bevel and emboss, since thre's like, no depth, and seems to be on the same depth as the rest of your sig.

The harsh background doesnt really match the cute render, and the render is a bit small, but god do I love your backgrounds. Its my favorite on Ichigos. They are all clean and bright and not muddied up! 8/10

Muffinman-
Sexy. Its nice, but the background has a weird quality to it. I dont know who to discribe it, but its there. And the left side is all fuzzy (compared to the right side). My only personal problem is the border. its to thick and stands out more then the render. 7.33/10

I have nothing big to complain about. Its nearly the perfect signature other then a few very minor defects. The hair on the left side is muddied and has a white tone to it, and so does parts of the face (I would try to keep the face and hair cleaner because its a major part of the signature). I just love the render! 10/10!

I'm glad that you noticed the animation. Like you said, it is better non-animated, so that's why I had it lap 7 times then stop.

Oh... Well, it just looks a bit awkward to me. Maybe try to edit it out? I would try it for practice, but dont do it just because I say so. I still love the render though...

miranda: i think you could do a lot more w/ the picuture than just cropping it. start off by filtering it if you cant make a bg yet. you can use the lasso tool, and use filters on specific parts of the picture. as for borders, i myself hate to do them, so i wont go on that subject.
