Its clouds. The sky is allways empty. Its like waking up one day with only yourself, a tree and a bunch of clouds XD

8/10 only becsuse its its a bit plain. The reason why your current sat is better is because it has an image effect. Do somthing to those sets :D

then i right click to paste the sig, and it wont let me. (when it lists what you can do when you right click, 'paste' is gray instead of black)

you gotta put in the code for it after uploading it to photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) or a similar service. you can't copy the picture in there. then you get the link to the picture and paste it into your sig, enclosed by [IMG] tags.

You hve to press Copy Image Location. And it only works if its already on the internet when you do that.

Or, you can right-click on the picture, go to Properties, and highlight the URL. Then you can put the URL between the [ img ] thing (no spaces).

That takes longer..I just copy the image location

its actually only a "fade" and a "glow" effect. Its all from the game, as the Anime's fujikomas will never match up to the ones from the games. there is another picture I wanted to use, and I will in another set.

muffin: it's nice and simple, and the way that the text fits in is really cool. the avatar is a little out of proportion, and is a little fuzzy, but its still a great set! 9/10

Siggy 8/10 The text is a bit illedgible after "The Cut.." and its a bit to bright. Try adding something dark to the background to contrast from light and dark and so it doesnt hurt peoples eyes.

Let me guess, you used MS Paint? Looks like you just cropped the images and slapped a border on them. Even the lines of the border on each picture are not equal. The text on your sig does not stand out and is difficult to see. You score on the fact that they are eye-catching and I like the grainy texture (whether intended or not).

I don't know how to rate your sig as I don't know how much of it is your work and how much of it is the original picture. It's still good though.

What I mean is that in the Avatar, there is a red effect put over the top, and purple, yellow, and blue effects in the siggy. i suppose you could call them lighting effects, but they add a tinge of colour. I put it badly when I said "a little too deep". What I meant was that the colour was taking over the images.

as for that image, it isn't the best quality, and doesn't do justice to the animation of the movie. unfortunatly, there aren't many images out there...

LOL. MM, red text does not go well with that sig. One thing you can do to make sure that the colours don't clash is to use white. The add outer shadow or layer stoke. Play around with the opacity too.

Yeah...Red doesnt work with blues and yellows. Yellow doesnt work with purples. I find the universal colors that match no matter what is black and white.

Puazo: Yes, you should create a thread to showcase your work, and overtime, you can actually see your improvements. Also, I forgot to tell you this, but your sig is 300X150. Forum regulations state it must be 500X120, whichever smaller.

I was thinking of omitting the lights thingy... Since with the lights it's 70KB, pass forum regulations... Just for fun, below is the rating I got in another forum:

7/10. The color is unique. But I do not really like bright colors. I don't think the border looks very good with the sig. The Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children pictures are good. I just don't like the animation of the two little bright white lights moving as they are confusing.

Eventually they will remove it because it's over the limit, unless you remove it first. The guy who rated it sounds weird... It's not bright at all. It's much more dark than light. The dots aren't confusing, either. It's fine with or without the dots.

That forum has pretty harsh raters as everyone are very, very good at making sigs. That's why the first few sig I rated had pretty low ratings, before I learn to relax a little. An example of a perfect sig for that forum is this:

Realise that people has got different styles, and so does each forum. Most of the sigs there are either Tech or Goth... and very few anime sigs.

Well, that sig has great workmanship in it, but its all tech-y. I like more of a mellow, anime feel. More musical and calm looking. I never was a fan of the tech borders. Just a few strokes of colors as a border works for me too..

Im thinking of doing a new Chrono Cross siggy. I was in a rush with this one, so the hair and everything thats blemished isnt blured right..

Hmm... It's simple but looks pleasing nonetheless. I like the colour scheme, the font and the simple yet effective background (let me guess, filter, stylize, wind?). The only flaw that I can pick out is that it has too much redundant space. I'd give it a 8.8/10.

I made a new set -_- I expected it to take longer but I managed to make it in less than 18 minutes wheee.


That forum has pretty harsh raters as everyone are very, very good at making sigs. That's why the first few sig I rated had pretty low ratings, before I learn to relax a little. An example of a perfect sig for that forum is this:

Okay, basically the picture in your pic is too dark, maybe you wanted it that way, I don't know. But I had to really strain to see what's going in your sig, and raters don't like doing that...

P.S. The above is now too bright, but it was just a quick demonstration. It is possible to reach for a perfect lighting given time.

To the first question: I still like darker themed sigs, but they still have to be of good colour contrast. XD

To 2nd question: Open up the sig in Photoshop, Add new layer. Edit > Fill new layer with white. Change layer options to Soft Light, after which play around with opacity to get the perfect amount of light.

The original image was made in that contrast,and I dont want to edit the artist's work unless it really bothers more than 5 people.

1st set, obviously about Edward Elric of Full Metal Alchemist. Hope you can see the quite explicit theme of the set. "Tsumibito" means sinner for all you non-Japanese speakers. 2nd set is the one I like more. "Sehnsucht" means longing for all you non-German speakers. Please rate and post comments ^_^

Marlon: Cute. Perfect (or nearly). Love it.
Champloo-flu: Yin-yang sign not positioned properly, top part is cut off. Don't like the red picture on the right as the person is a little see-through. Not the creator's fault, but the picture's.
MM & Ketsurui: Border and font contributes to the impression of thick, antique and strong. Good. Only flaw is the text in Ket's sig. Even though your name is still readable, the e and t blends in with the black color thing. That's an absolute no-no in sig making, unless under special circumstances when you want a different use for the text. Also realised that you like to do this: -Name-. Why? Nice brushes though.
Zach: Really tired by now, so shall only rate septermagic and Marlon's version of your sig. Marlon's one is my personal favourite. The whole composition goes well together. Simple, yet effective. Nice border too. (Okay, maybe a little too simple) As for septermagic, I discourage use of such background for sigs? Why? They look ugly, no matter in sigs, websites or you room's wallpaper, backgrounds that are so obviously repetitive is ugly. Apart from that, nice blending of the pictures.

The letters blending with the black is somewhat unavoidable. 'Tis why I made a glow around it so you can see it a little better.

I like to do -Name- because I believe it actually give it a little something extra rather than just the normal average name. That's what i think anyways. Some might think otherwise.

Protrusions are okay. As for the text, it depends what you want to do with it. If it's there for the kind of decoration seen in my current sig, it should be 1 pixel smaller without outer glow or stroke or any other effects. If you want people to actually read it, it should be bigger. Right now it's somewhere in between.

Ava - 8/10 I have a few things I dont like, but they arnt major. First is that the image is a bit bright, such as the flowers. They are clearly there, but the brightness of it blends together, making one flower look like a blob. Then there is the border. It doesnt stand out enough. Try using a stroke of black, not pink.

Siggy -9/10 My only complaint is that the text blends into the image....way to much. I dont mean like with a blending tool, I mean the colors blead into each other. Very hard to read "TCA"...

Blending on Cloud's left shoulder is a little weird. You might want to add an outer glow to the text to bring it out. If not for these, you could have gotten 10/10.:)

I agree with the cloud part, but when I looked at the original image, thats how the shoulder plate looked like, and the thing was that the image I used wasnt already worked on, just straight out of the movie...And I was compleatly thinking of brighting the ava, but im a person with a habit of making everything match. It just wouldnt look right :cry:

Also, how do you add a glow to the text? And do you know of any other alturnative instead of bluring when adding multiple image into one canvas?

When using multiple images on a sig, I use blending, which involves layer masking and air brushing. As for adding outer glow, here's how to do it:
1. After typing your text, go to Layer > Rasterize > Type
2. Layer > Layer Style > Outer Glow
3. Play with the settings to get what you want.
