Repetition by use of flash cards. It will take a long time but it will work. I like to use a program called CueCard (http://download.cnet.com/CueCard/3000-2051_4-10075304.html).

I'm essentially fused with my computer...the only time I'm not on it is when I'm doing the following:
-Sleeping
-Eating
-Taking a break from being on the computer for so long (could last from 5 minutes to an hour)
-School (depending on the day, it's either 2-4 hours long)
-Homework (and even then I might be on the computer to DO my homework)
-Showering

Actually, Erlang is still kinda popular for parallel programming, simply because threading and data communication between several processes is completely handled with almost no intervention. Another nice tidbit to add to the mix is that programs run in a live environment, so updating software code can be done nearly seamless.

Biggest computer scare ever.

Two hours ago I got the worst semi-functioning virus/mal I've ever seen, Antivirus Live. The biggest problem with it is that it blocks every program from opening. So for the first half hour you are completely confused. I went into safe mode and ran a full scan with AVG, and that didn't even find it (though it found other things...). So I went back into safe and did a full scan with Malwarebytes which was recommended in a discussion I read online about this virus. Never heard of it, but 40 minutes later, I'm on Chrome :D

EDIT: I forgot to mention why it was so scary. On top of it blocking programs from even opening, I read that if you let it get deep enough in your computer, it will eventually stop a boot-up. I was in frenzy mode after that.

It actually happened when I was browsing isohunt. I assume it was, at least, because my computer started using up a lot of resources when I went to a torrent's comment page and then the browser froze, then hell broke loose.

The funny part was that Kimikiss (semi-similar mood/genera) was far slower, but people still liked that one better, yet I found White Album to be far better than Kimikiss simply because W.A. lacked independent subplots and it was actually coordinated quite nicely.

Hello everyone. For about the last hour, I've been browsing around the forums here, and I decided to join. The name's Mies, though many may know me as M from the Ichigos Sheet Music forums.

Now I am presently here, not because of interest, or because I wanted to, but because of a user named Animelover84 (http://forums.ichigos.com/member.php?u=8287) at my home forum. The user went around and sent out several PMs in regards to this forum asking members to be staff members, without restraint. While I do respect that this forum is currently under development, I also must respect the rules found over at Ichigos forums.

You may post your site or forum link in your profile. You may post your site in your signature, but not your forum. Do not blatantly advertise your site when posting. If a topic is relevant, you may point people to it. Don't make posts for the sole purpose of driving traffic to your site.

While you did not blatantly advertise exactly as the rules stated, you clearly did violate the rules we at Ichigos take great pride in, and it was for the sole purpose of bringing traffic here. I spent the last hour looking this site if there was even an inkling of reason why Animelover86 would advertise this site, other than for the sake of traffic. I have found no reason. Whoever the user Animelover84 is over here should understand that you should read the rules of the site and apply them on several different platforms, rather than weave around them as s/he did at Ichigos.

Needless to say, Animelover84 was banned over at Ichigos, and let it be known that if anyone else tries to recruit other members in a similar manor, the same will happen to them. This was the first time such an advertisement was made for your forums over at Ichigos, but we must crack down on this with an iron fist.

I hold no malice to AA, nor to Animelover84, but I do believe that rules should be properly enforced and respected of not just your site, but of the site you are attempting to advertise on.

I decided to make this post not out of anger--as I cannot stress this enough; for you are working hard at your goal of making a forum work--but to warn new users that reading the rules of other forums they attempt to advertise on is absolutely necessity. Failure to do so would likely lead to further detriment of AA's reputation in cyberspace. I know that the Administrator and the Moderators here at AA would not like that in the least.

Ugh, how do you make opera open multiple tabs? And how do I import Firefox bookmarks that I backed up as a .json file?

What do you mean "multiple tabs"? Here are ways to open tabs,

Middle Click a link
shift+click a link
ctrl+t
Clicking the + button on the far right
press and hold the right mouse button and pull the mouse down
Save all your bookmarks into a bookmark folder and select "open all folder items".


The json bookmark data file is something unique to firefox that's yet to hit other browser importing utilities.. If you want to import bookmarks from firefox, export them to html.

I mean, when I open Opera, I want more than just one tab to open up. I want to have more than one home page.

Oh, just open all the tabs you want, and click save session.

There isn't a way to set multiple homepages per se, but like Mushy said, you can resume a session, which is effectively the same thing. Click File->Sessions->Save This Session, and then give it a name and check the box saying "show these everytime opera starts".

Erm... You're doing something horribly wrong (not the right homepage setting), and you're slightly belligerent, thus helping you at this point would be about as good as giving a person without teeth a butterfinger.

Not to mention, facebook wall messages are not important. If they really were important, the party would have contacted you in a more direct and less asinine way. In fact, if it really was that important, why not set it as your only homepage, and screw the four windows when your first launch? Multiple tabs on startup kill the browser's performance right off the git-go.

Of the five homepage start up settings, only one has to do with sessions, which is Continue Saved Sessions, and that just opens up the session I saved exactly like the last time I saw it. Is there not a better way?

Don't use Opera? Are the benefits of using Opera outweighing the homepage problems, because if it isn't then I think you know what to do...

Yeah, because that makes a huge fekkin difference when I'm trying to view webpages. Chrome can't display them; FireFox can. Should I write letters to all the webmasters out there and tell them to "fix" their sites? Saying "the web design isn't up to standard" is like telling someone that it isn't some new car's fault it can't drive over dirt roads. "ROADS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PAVED LOL!" That still doesn't fix the problem that I can't drive over half the god damned roads in my neighborhood in the Chromemobile, while all other cars have no trouble driving over them.
