Here is your reply to your comments, Mies.
"A prefix would be stellar here. Though this is a short story." - What do you mean? Please explain. Although I decided I might make this into four arcs, so it might not be a short-story as I planned after all.
"Ah... So this is the name of the second city. Why'd you wait to give its name?" - Well, I never knew that a city is named by its army.
"You're copping out on descriptions. While you gently touched on what the cave was like, and you left it hanging.." - Really? Give me some examples of how I could fix this.
"Why? Was it hanging from the wall, or was it far across a fracture? Proceeding information is missing" - Ah sorry, I shouldve said in the beginning that one of them is taller than the other. Its better to distinguish who's who or else I would be saying he and he.
When I use feint it means fake.
"Your first word seemed to have some form of structure, and your second flowed the same way, but this second phrase seems out of place." - huh? Please explain.
"Obviously. But what you failed to do is describe all the gorgeous, gory detail of the deaths. Where are the cries of pain? Where are the people on the brink of death moaning? Where are the melted corpses?" - Geez, I think you've been watching a bit too many scary movies lately. I will add the details however, so dont fret.
"Intriguing way to resolve the tension." - ...Thats a good thing, right?
"Does the true main character like to talk to himself? This is where thought writing would take place." - I love making my characters schkitzofrenic (spelling duh).
I will be editing my first chapter to your standards (hopefully) and will post up chapter 4 (5 and 6?) tonight (Chapters 1, 2, and 3 are separated from chapter one thanks to Mies.)
Should I make a thread about this? I dont want it to die out like my first one did (still working on that but postponing it x_x)

"A prefix would be stellar here. Though this is a short story."
Sometimes in books they have little tidbits of information placed before a chapter's begining. for instance a journal entry, or some type of a quote that makes the reader have parallel thoughts when reading the story. It's a writing techique that is easy to do and is highly regarded.
"Ah... So this is the name of the second city. Why'd you wait to give its name?"
X| Well, when I think military, I think about the "Roman" army, or the "Egyptian" raiders, though what you are saying is also true. I'd still give them a name, regardless if you choose that or not.
"You're copping out on descriptions. While you gently touched on what the cave was like, and you left it hanging.."
This is a problem with color coding your speaking patterns. You know how a book usually talks in quotes adds a ," said [XXX]. I'm talking about the part that usually follows that. For a horrible example:
The two men pushed aside some vines as they walked inside of the damp, dark, and dead cave. With every footstep, the echo answered their call. The shorter of the two was slightly adigated by this, while the taller one found such an emotion to be trivial. Sliding their feet in the darkness, they occationally ran into a stalagmite, and cause the cave to fill with the noise of steel clashing against stone.
Something like that. Add some boring detail, and it gives the reader a better perspective in what you are painting in your head.
"Your first word seemed to have some form of structure, and your second flowed the same way, but this second phrase seems out of place."
Well, let's take a look at it in groupings.
arsaea taeurarowea
arc neurro vreueasurhe iis fuojwayurdye
The first actually looks like a psudo-japanese-latin construction, while the second has some words that don't fit this style. Arc is fine, iis is fine too, neurro looks Latin to me, but Vreueasurhe and Fuojwayurdye looks entirely random to me. The main issue is the 'V' connected to the 'r' and the 'r' connected to the 'h'. That is a rare combanation, and causes your reader to stumble. It's the same with the latter, the 'j' with the 'w' is odd.
"Obviously. But what you failed to do is describe all the gorgeous, gory detail of the deaths. Where are the cries of pain? Where are the people on the brink of death moaning? Where are the melted corpses?"
Not that I've been watching too many scarry movies (heck I haven't seen one it five years now; they give me nightmares), but this is an action point. Action is filled with either extensive detail or extensive talking. I prefer detail (if you haven't noticed), because it gives off a more mature feeling to a writing (an example of this is HG Wells' War of the Worlds Very little talking, great amount of description)
"Intriguing way to resolve the tension."
Yes it is. I didn't see that comming at all :)
"Does the true main character like to talk to himself? This is where thought writing would take place."
This was to further my point of making you use better descriptions, but your way is fine.

Well, you see the vr combination because I am following my own form of ancient language. As you can see, when the word vreueasurhe is decrypted, the vr is used from the letter V, and in my form of alphabet "V –ΰ - Vro" However, I think I have overlooked those words and I will check them again for proper structure of words.
Edit: vreueasurhe is now changed to veurseeure. fuojwayurdye is also changed to fuojeromayeudye. These words are modified but still contain their original meaning without violating the alphabetical rule and the traditional english rule.

In the middle of correcting my first two(three?) chapters I had to help my family move in some new furniture. Thereofre, I am not able to give you guys the next installment today. :(
To make things up I will give you a small preview for the next coming chapters!
As he fell back from the impact, his back was bruised due to the burns his father gave him.
"Geez, you've got stronger." He said.
"Oh? Do you really think so?" His father replied as he muttered a few incantations and vanished. The son began to look around, wondering where his father went. From his previous experience, his father attacked him from the back. The son then felt as if his father had appeared in back of him, and immediately turned around. He threw out his right hand, and a red-ish glow appeared on his hand.
"Scorching Flames, Burn my opponent!" The son yelled as a stream of fire emitted from his right hand and spewed out. However, there was no one there, and the son looked toward the empty space in shock. His father then appeared from his back, his left hand emitting with a green-ish white glow. His son turned around and tried to counter by punching his father in the face, but his father ducked easily and began to incantate.
"Poiweurocyeiwure Sehoojecykha!" The father's left hand was engulfed by streaks of lightning as he jabbed it into his son's stomach. Lightning soared all over his son's body, shocking him intensely. His son screamed out in pain as the impact of his father's jab sends him towards the wall opposite of his father. As he landed, he rolled over numerous times before stopping by the wall. While rolling on the floor, his son was shocked at what magic his father possesses.
Did my father just...use Ancient Magic?! But thats impossible! No wizard or magi alive could have known such old magic! Damn... it hurts much more than a regular spell would...
Small amounts of smoke rose from the son's body, and he laid there motionless for a few moments. His father walked to him, and when he reached him the father looked down at him and shook his head.
"You were wrong. I am not getting stronger, it is you who is getting weaker. You have great potential, but you're just too damn lazy to practice. Do you even deem yourself worthy of becoming a wizard?"
End Preview.
