but the edges look hard (or jagged) on a background. Obviously the font wasn't designed to be set at 375 pt, but it fit the part.

So... Any clue? I know I could smudge and blur it to crap, but I want to know if there's a faster/easier way. Much thanks in advance.

Looks like the only way I know of would be to edit it in Nero PhotoSnap and use Gaussian Blur under the Sharpen tool. Other than that...uh...have fun smudgeing and blurring it to crap! :lol:

If you have Photoshop I'd say use the blur tool on a very low setting around the edges. I think there's another way but it's been ages since I've used Photoshop. *yawn*

I tried the gaussian blur already (it's what I usually use for pictures), but it turned out quite crappy. No matter how small I set the pixel level, it blurred it too much.

I guess I'll just smudge the crap out of it...

M, why not use the paths tool and carve out the letters (loosing as little of them as posible) and then paste on a new white layer?

Then just play around with it some more:)

I'm guessing there isn't any sort of anti aliasing setting under the type settings? What I'd do is copy layer, rasterise the copy, keep the orig on top, and use a blur filter on the bottom later. That way, you have a slight blur on the edge, and sharpness on the top. =)

Edit: Oh BTW, good job on the manual blur ;)
