I hate my school dance... NOBODY there knows how to dance. It was horrible. I went in there and did a simple twostep and everyone was like "woah, amazing!" there was this one couple who were trying to slow dance, but they were swaying off beat! and another couple were slowdancing with their arms stretched out so they were an arm's length apart! My god... I was supposed to teach this one girl to waltz, but she dissappeared somewhere, so i was stuck there laughing at people teachign themselves to dance...

Indeed. Parallel thoughts in writing was a pretty big discussion in my creative writing class. When you should use parallel thoughts, when not to, how to recognize it, and how to develop/remove it.

Imaboku is basically about a gradeschool Kendo student gets transfered to a parallel world called Hollywood by a Naiad-like humanoid. Hollywood is a desolate world that has been at war for a long time. It mainly takes place on a huge battleship that has long since been deactivated due to the lack of it's fuel.

Then it uses every trick in the book to make you sad: Corruption, Lust, Desire, Hoplessness, Rape, Betrayl, Greed to list a few.

Media Player Classic, which should have been installed with the codec pack, or some other Direct Show Player (Zoomplayer, Winamp, BSplayer, exc...). Also, the prevew file may lag quite a bit if you have <2.8GHz processor. It did on mine X_X

i tried it on media player and media player classic. they both made my whole screen go black, played through the clip with audio only, and then froze up for a second. then desktop came back at like 640 x 480 res and barely any color.

as far as I know...linux dosent suck for most things (main exeption being gaming) on the rest of the stuf things just work diferent.

Im gonna try and install ubuntu again...hopefully I can emulate some stuff (at an acceptable performance level) and then I'll switch completely.

@Felicity_Transmin: I haven't used photoshop in a while, but I do believe there's a polygon tool that you can make rounded rectangles with.

Make a new layer.
Once you select the tool there should be an option to make a fixed size rectangle.
Set it equal to your canvas size.
Set your primary color to white
Draw the rectangle
Next set your primary color to black
Set your fixed size varibles to 1-2 pixels (or just make it a visible difference) less that your original settings
Zoom in close and draw it in where your first vertex of the rectangle is that same value you used above in from your outside.
Set your color white again.
Draw another rectangle using the same method above.
Using the Magic Wand, select the black line that you have just created
Right click on the selected portion and select layer via cut; you should see a new layer.
Delete the old layer that contains white.

Personally, I'd go through the wonderful process of manually drawing in the boarder, or using a special brush, if I was planning something really fancy.

The only way to skin without taking very much resources is to hack window's skinning system. I cannot tell you how to do this.

Docks are useful for wide screen monitors (which you have), but remember that they take up quite a bit of processing power.

For monitoring (back when I was obsessed with it), I went with Statbar. But, once again, having that takes up quite a bit of processing power.

Well, it's not like you have to memorize all 24 pages of Keyboard shortcuts to M$ Word, and have most of them deducated strictly to word. Every single programming language is similar in one way or another, they just do things differently.

For example, all programming languages require varibles. Be it any type of input (character, whole number, decimal number, or a string/line of information). Visual Basic does not require you to declare these varibles explisitly (aka have one line of text deducated to stating what this varible is and what type), while in C++ you have to. Does this mean C++ is better than VB? No. It just means C++ is a little more careful on how you make your varibles.

Sets for inverse trig functions, logs, Averages, and sums. Hyp is for finding Hyperbolic functions (sinh(), cosh()).

No, it last about 3 seconds, and its only in the most briliantly painted scenes. Lighting was so perfect and detail was absolutly briliant. I sound like a bleeding brit.

[I only assume painted because Miyazaki only does traditional animation, and Miyazaki did all the key scenes.]
