Though I am behind by about four/five days (7953 words via openoffice word count). Rest assured that I AM working on it. I just haven't had long enough writing sessions to produce a decent amount of literature. It usually takes about two hours for me to reach a point where I can write massive amounts of text quickly.

My feet were mangled from pounding the ground for such a long time with little rest. The sandstone-shaded cloak that draped my entire stature — which I wore for protecting me from the elements — did not do its job. The developer must not have thought that the cloak would be worn in the elements. With a simple breeze, whatever effectiveness the cloak had, was lost to the child sylphs that reside deep in the desert; waiting to mature into the sandstorm gods that frolic in the day.

At least it was night. The air was cool and refreshing, much opposed to the recent day — I swear that earth's core was cooler! Regardless, I took one foot and put it before my other, tearing each step into the wind, rippling the smoothed sand on the third point of them movement, pressing them forward to my destination. that was about 50 recs off.

I found the task annoying. Any member of the troupe could have done it with ease. Heck, I had the exact coordinates written out when we passed it a few hours ago, but, because I was in charge of the navigation, I was told to fetch the water. Why didn't they send out a child instead of me! I mean, it's just fetching water. We're currently in Marked Land, so it's not like anything dangerous will pop out of nowhere. But they insisted that I went. I'm not certain if it's my own ignorance or their stupidity, but one thing is certain: I didn't want to do it.

I know that the simple tasks do need to be done by someone, but I've been doing these jobs for so long, that any normal person watching me do them would think I'm some type of a lunatic from the patterns I've developed. My skill lies elsewhere. I'm not a lapdog. I refuse to be, as it should be. But this is how I see things, not how they see things. Maybe they size me up and decide that I'm only good for fetching water, or making dinner, or even...

Mom forgot the keys, we couldn't get in~

So I broke in with my mad skittles XD~

I suprise the Neighbors didnt call the cops on us XD

First you need a plastic card that you don't mind getting chewed up. Like that worthless public library card in you pocket for example. Next, shove the card between the door and the frame, where the locking mechanism meets the frame. Next, wiggle the card around while pushing on the door and the door will eventually open. This can take anywhere from 1 - 10 mins. XD

I find myself doing that alot because I always forget my keys. This is why children we dead-bolt our doors. :lol:

OR my method..wich involves a hammer and some good old stress relief ;)

after three hours of CSI and one hour of 48 hours, a spider crawled down the ceiling and went down on its small string of web right infront of my face. Me being a insectphobe I immediately felt cold in my arms and legs and quickly moved away and then within a safe distance ran towards the other side of the room, landing on the tv WHILE the murder's picture was flashing on the screen, adding to the dramatica of the situation, and causing me to run towards the kitchen. My grandmother then says to me that she isnt gonna cook for me again cause I dont eat her food, and I try to convince her that she's wrong (she is wrong, I wasnt hungry for the whole week, dont know why). Now I'm back upstairs.

Hey did anybody see the movie "Grave of the Fireflies" last night, because it was on TCM. It's probably the saddest movie i've ever seen. Man, so sad what had happend to Japan. I hope nothing like that really ever happens again, but chances are it will, but then again it might not. We will just have to see.

Oh youve never seen it? Well, its an anime movie that is set during World War 1 and Japan is being attacked by America. And I sorta don't really want to ruin the movie for you but its about this and his sister who must find a way to survive by getting into shelters when an air raid happens. And thats all im going to say about it. Its of course a really sad movie, so don't watch if you can't take the depression you will be having for a few days after watching it, but I also think it was made by Hayou Miyazaki and its from the eighties as well.

They also have a live action of it too, that is, if they showed the Miyazaki animation on TCM.

Yeah they did show it on TCM. I even taped it so I have proof ,whahaha. And I don't know if I'd want to see an actual live action one of it, but maybe.

Well I also saw another movie yesterday in the theatre. I was called

Did you know that Windows XP is quite stable and that most crashes are caused by buggy non-MS drivers?

With MS it's not really their software I dislike, it's their policy on things like licensing, and the huge amounts of money you have to pay for their software.

And I'm kinda with Angelic on this one. Microsoft isn't all that bad. I mean, if it was shit, then you wouldn't have posession of the mass market right now.

I'm not using it because:
1) It IS true that microsoft controls the software market, thus I'm supporting the underdog linux.
2) I want control of everything.
3) I've always been a fan of terminal work. Windows pretty much ditched that method with XP and higher (and replaced it with a sad deprecated system called cmd).
4) You never restart. Ever. Maybe the gui, but the computer core never turns off.
5) Disk fragmentation doesn't really exist, and disk errors are at a minimum.
6) I'm required to learn different Operating Systems.

Linux isn't too hard to learn. It's just different. Remember, it took most of us a good two/three years to learn exactly how to use Windows with control. Give Linux the same amount of time, and you'll be at an equal level.

And thus I give up. I just spent the last 7 hours trying to figure out a way to make a rename shell script take a text file with long names and a text file with short names, merge them so that in the first row it would read "longname shortname", and tack on a mv in front.

To put it simply, rename files from a text file.

The process itself of assigning a shell variable that can take in and read over nulls is freaking difficult. Writing a script that reads it in from two files is even more difficult.

To give an even clearer example. I have two text files.

The whole issue is that I can't figure out a way to loop a variable so that each entry from the individual text files are layered atop one another and output it to a file. Then the whole "null" character thing came up. I have to wrap the text in quotes. Simple, yet everytime I hit a null, it switches to a new character, and not every file presented is cleaned (ie "this is a file" vs "this_is_a_file").

SO! I tried writing something out in C++ real quick to see if it is within my ability. It turned out fugly and full of errors (as some can see in the following).
