I personally like DDR Maxx2 the best, but DDR Maxx (is it two x's?) and DDR Extreme are good also.

In my opinion... and some others, DDR Maxx2's steps are generally trickier than DDR Extreme.

I liked DDR extreme, but only if your ps2 is modded because I only recommend the Japanese version. The english sucked.

DO NOT GET MAXX! I have all games and my Favorite is Extreme2. Maxx is only good, if your really good. The Heavy songs on Maxx are hard. Specially Healing Vision...all I got was an A...Working on AA on Healing Vision. Anyways, get Extreme2, way better songs such as:

So long as you aren't watching the DiC dubbing crap, and you can get over Usagi's (Serena's) really high pitch / squeaky voice, it's actually okay. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I'm rewatching it because:

1) I haven't seen the uncut SM and SMR versions yet. Meaning it is targeted for 13-18 year olds, rather than the 6-10 the dubbed version is (no "sailor says", less scenes are cut, and dialog is not dumbed down. I'll be making a thread in the anime forum once I finish, showing the differences between the Cut and Uncut versions)

2) Its license has been removed due to DiC violating its contract,; ADV (holding the SM, SMR) lost the license in 2004, then Geneon (SM:S, SM:SuperS) held the license threw January 2005. Currently there isn't a license holder.

Sailor Stars (the fifth and final series) will never be licensed in America. Too much of the series would have to be cut, and Toei (the producer of the series) refusing to let that happen again.

Angelic says that gas in the UK is more then America so we shouldnt complain. I do understand that. But gas prices in Sub-Saharan Africa is more then the UK.

People compare things to their community not an over sea country.

How did you make them? Was there a program that takes frames from a movie file and turn it into a gif?

If you have patiences you can take each fram by hands with Print Screen. Painful yes, but it will do the job well if you dont know how else. Luckly I will tell you how to.

1) when you have the movie file on your computer (downloaded, not streamed) open it in Imageready.

2) when you do that theres an option to open it from beginning to end or selected range only. Doing it from beginning to end will give you thousands of frames which will make most computers freeze. Select the range one.

3) find where you want to extract the frames. Get the to beginning by dragging the time slider there. Then hold SHIFT and drag the time slider to the end of where you want to extract.

4) press okay.


From there its simple know how of Imageready. Get rid of unwanted frames, cutting down the canvas size and so on.

Basically its a lot of work.

Not really. The only thing that takes a long time is getting used to Imageready and getting the video file on your computer.

So yeah... I continued down the sailor moon path today and I discovered something interesting....


OMG! Zoisite IS A GUY!!!

Upon close examination, I have realized that the character Zoisite from Sailor Moon is indeed a guy in the Uncut version. In the DiC version, Zoisite was a girl.... And she was in love with Malakite...

There's a difference between complaining about high petrol prices and stating that Americans have a god-given right to get cheap petrol though. Asuka just thinks that because he's American he's better than anyone else, while in fact I personally think he's one of the biggest trolls among our regular members. The fact that no one complain about his ban (which is only for a week anyway) kind of proofs to me that nobody really cares much about whether he's here or not (remember when I banned Sephi for one day as a joke? Got a lot more response).

Used Virtualdub to show me the frame I want, use the good old Print Screen button, then copy into Photoshop to cut and add a border for each frame. Then imported them to Animation Shop (comes with Paintshop Pro), and tadaaaah ~ Talking Kuro-pon and confused Fye.

Better use Virtualdub, it doesn't use hardware acceleration so you won't have to mess with your Windows settings in order to take screenshots.

Behind the computer for the past few months I've been studying hard for the upcoming SATS in my Junior year. I feel confident that even with my practice scores of 1670 and 1730 I have a chance to work much harder so I can atleast stand a chance into getting MIT. No, I'm working to getting into MIT 100%.
My practice tests show inconsistency, always increasing then decreasing and vice versa. The math and verbal grades also do a same trend, proving that I am hard to distinuish when it comes to my strengths. However I am actually stronger in Math by a 10 fold than English, and its starting to show that on my recent exams. Math = 670, English = 570, Writing = 500 (Current practice exam score).

Most of my errors in Math are just careless mistakes, and I've learned to fix that easily, as for writing I need to learn more about constructing intros and conclusions, because I always have great supporting evidence, but a weak starting and finishing point. Sometimes they gives quotes that your supposed to disagree/agree with (Ex. The end justifies the means. Do you agree with it?). That topic dragged me offboard, wondering what "the means" meant.

Although I have problems in writing, that is not my weakest point. My English was absolutely horrible. Many SAT words I do not know, but I can fix that easily by studying the words which I am doing great on. However, grammar is what brings me down the most. I understand baisic conceptons, but they wrap it around other ideas that it actually takes time to decipher which is which and what is the error in the sentence. Reading comprehension is also a pain in the ass, reading a large amount of text, and questions asking you a definition of a word, or the best title of the passage would be.

My worst enemy is also time. With every practice test, I finish 30 minutes late or 40 at the most. Of course I am working on the time, speeding everything up in math because I am used to speeding up in that area, and I do just fine. However that is not even enough.

Now, with all of that I get a lousy grade of 1750 or lower, but I always think that there's room for more improvement. However, looking at my competition, many did pretty well, and some went higher than me with a 2000. Not many people increased in their points as tests went by, and I was around the area of "above average".

At home, my grandparents stress me about studying, and I always reply to them with "Don't worry, you see me studying right now." And of course I go back to my studies, trying to understand math concepts and english grammar for around 5-7 hours a day. No games during the weekdays, and the weekends completely free to myself. If it wasn't for the weekends, I would have nearly died from over studying, and I don't blame myself for making weekends free.

Yesterday I went with my grandpa to register for fall term classes (weekends), since I know that I need to get more practice and learn more. I choose morning classes as it is flexible with my schedule at school. While they were talking, the woman behind the counter showed us the grades and compared it with the rest of the people in my class. It showed that I didn't do really well, but I told my grandpa that it was okay because most of the class did worse than me, and I can do better. I left it at that and went straight to class.
This morning as I went to class I did not know that my grandfather showed up an hour later at the counter and talked with the woman behind the counter, paying the money for the class. When I got home tonight, my grandmother told me what they talked about today.
She said that my grandpa asked the woman what school I can get in with my score at the moment. She said "only stonybrook". He then asked her if it was possible for my to get into MIT if I try harder, she replied with "Not a chance."

She went on and explained how I was very behind, and that my english scores were so horrible that even the little kids that came from china to here learning ESL gets better grades than me. Obviously I do believe that this is true, since the english language is fresh in their minds while mine is still in the works. However, she went on to say that I was completely behind everyone, and that everyone's scores increased while mine showed intense inconsistency.

At that time I just said to my grandmother "Utter Bullshit. With my own eyes I see the scores. I'm above average compared to the whole school, and not everyone does better continuously. I've seen the scores."

My grandmother replied with "Well, this is your last chance. Maybe its going to be like last time, where your application to those speciallized high schools rejected you. Look, don't blame yourself. Atleast you tried. If you go to a community college, we'll understand."

I then left the room, went to the living room and bursted out in tears. This was actually my first effusive cry ever since my last one four years back. During that time many thoughts rushed into my mind. Many thoughts about everything, and anything. All these questions kept repeating in my head; Why the hell do they have to bullshit like that to my grandparents? Do they hate me? Why can't I ever be successful in my goals? Why do I have to stick to the lesser end? Why do I always try my hardest when others get the same result with little effort? Why do I have to be the one that recieves unrequited love? WHY THE FUCK AM I BISEXUAL? WHY IS MY LIFE FUCKING UPSIDE DOWN? WHY DO I HAVE TO EXPERIENCE PAIN NINTEY PERCENT OF THE TIME? WHY CAN'T I PROVE MYSELF? WHY AM I SO FUCKING NAIVE? WHY AM I NOT SMART ENOUGH? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? WHAT AM I MISSING? WHAT DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP TO GET WHAT I NEED?

I wanted to choose the latter, but I have a personal obligation to myself to achieve. I've decided that from September 5 until next summer or later that I dedicate myself to studying, and only studying. The only way for me to succeed this way is removing myself from my own social life, dedicated to do anything to get me into the college I want.

Although this sounds overdone, I really have no choice. This is my only chance to prove, to myself, that I can succeed in life.


Starting September 5th, I will no longer be here until next summer, or the summer after that. I've decided to get into my ideal college at all costs, because it is my duty to do so.

I'm removing myself from games, online forums, and my social life to dedicate myself to 24/7 studying for the SATS and volunteering for community service to further increase my chances for the college I want.

Until September 5th I will still be here, but I'm telling you guys this for a heads up.

Good luck to you Hiei! Remember, "All work and no play makes an ass out of you." Don't remove yourself from everyhting in your life just to focus on your studies. Have a little fun once in a while. If you study too hard you may end up not doing as well as you had potentionally hoped for.

One small suggestion for the SAT's. Learn about all the little minut tricks that The College Board will try to play on you. If you are aware of them, you will do much better. Check this out every day, sample questions from the SAT's http://collegeboard.com/apps/qotd/question

@Hiei: Student Services would help you greatly. Learn exactly what course you are planning on getting into and ask for the Course Graduation Requirements form. Usually they have it in a single sheet of paper addressing every class you need, except for the core courses (eng 101, eng 102, 8 cred; mth 101, mth 102 - 10 creds; any natural science with lab - 12 cred; varying amounts of Social Science and Humanities creds; and whatever your course requires for elective credits (all this totaling around 124 non-degree specific courses or so). Man I need to pull out the courses book again! I should remember these things.

Don't belittle Community Colleges. Sure, they may not be the best school; sure, the classes don't sit as strongly as MITs would; but you have to understand that college is college. In the past year, I have gone to a Community College. I know I may not be the smartest, highest, and brightest kid in school, but I do understand that most college degrees are looked at the same.

There are three aspects a Job looks for when hiring you in. they are as follows:
High School Grades (>2.5 is fine)
Did they graduate College. If so what area was their focus?
What did they place in their cover letter? Do they seem competent?
What was their overall grade in College?
What does their resume look like?
How much work experience does the person have?

At no time do they go "Oh, this person went to such and such college! DON'T HIRE!". Maybe for a doctor. Maybe for a Politician. But not for the typical "white collared" job that . I'm not denying that MIT would have more power to you, but also know that that specific power is applied only when you are looking at getting a Director Position in the work field. In order to get a Director's Position, most of the time they will respect work experience over education; but this is where your College Degree will, most of the time, give you power.

I also realize that you want to do your best and get the best as quick as possible, but the best choice for you is to slow down a little. Take everything in time. Mature to the point where you understand that not everything can be achieved quickly. Learn that this does mean you can achieve your dream.

your view changed my perspective on the job market. I did not know that they look at your work experience more than what school you went for your education. So, if that does apply then why do parents pressure their kids to get into the top colleges?

Oh, I also have a question about universities. Upon further research I have found that universities separate into different departments, and you should go to that certain department for your major. Then whats the purpose of the university as a whole? Why all the departments? Why are some of them farther away from the school than others? What is a department?

I can't help ya 'cause I'm not American - but good luck all the same. Just try and find a happy medium - work your arse off and find out what kind of grades that gets you, then you'll know just how much you *really* need to do to keep those grades, which means you'll be able to let up a bit.

And I've just discovered that I'm only £50 away from having enough money for a return flight to Japan :D One hurdle nearly overcome, now I just need to get together enough money to travel, sleep and feed myself once I actually get there... :think:

I doubt you will have any trouble asking them for that information. More than likely, they'll be happy to give it to you. Once you switch over from Grade School to College, it turns into a more Business like environment. They want you there. They want you to stay there. Remember, you are a form of income to them once you enroll.

So yes, give them a call. Worse comes to worse, I'm pretty sure they would mail it to you.

Also, I should tell you that you can test out of certain preq classes like College Algebra and English Compostion I by a placement test. I managed to skip over English 101 thanks to this, and I was just one point off from skipping College Algebra.

The reason parents push children in schools so hard is actually a misconception. I was never pushed to go to a high level college, personally, but I do know that a degree is simply a piece of paper showing how much you know, in what field of study, and at what standard.

Of course, a higher standard will be respected, but if you were a company wanting to hire someone for designing a building, would you choose a person from Harvard Universities school of design with two jobs worth of experence and a decent work record, or a person from a local no name college with twelve jobs worth of experence with the same track record? Obviously the person that did twelve jobs would have a better understanding of how to do things than the person with just two.

I don't care what anyone says: application far surpasses theory. Of course, if the two had a tie in jobs preformed, I believe the Harvard student would be chosen. That's a given. And there lies what parents think. If you are in a tie with someone for a job, the higher the school rank, the more likely it is that you will get the job over the other.

Don't get me wrong! Going to a higher college will give you brownie points (I was looked down upon when I transfered from my community college to the university), but going to one of the top schools in the US is not going to help you any more than some other college when it comes to non-Masters/PhD. degrees.

As for different departments: Basically, the different departments are local groups that specalize in a major. I, personally, am in the Computer Science Department at the University of Michigan. Why? Because I'm going to be a Software engineer, a Computer Science major track option. So what you need find out is what field of study is where your job of choice is, and go from there. That's for your major. Once you get to college, follow that sheet as close a physically possible, or else you'll be wasting your time.

Your minor is quite a different story. When visiting a department you will notice there are two different requirement sheets: one major and one minor. What you need to do is find a minor that you can reuse your major classes for. For instance, I take Introduction to Logic. This is a preq for Computer Programing Concepts I. It is also a requirement for a minor in Philosophy. Thus, I have shot down both a preq and a minor class (if I chose philosophy as my minor; I've yet to decide). It is really up to the college student as to what your minor should be. You'll see that quite a few computer science majors are computer information system minors. You will see a lot of Engineering majors that are Math minors. You see the pattern?

Ooohh, yeah i'm thinking of going japan summer 2007 witha group of friends for 4 weeks. Luckily i've got very cheap accommodation thanks to my friend! There's a 2 week rail pass you can get that cost round £200. We're thinking of traveling round Japan for 2 weeks and staying in youth hostels, then 2 more weeks in and around Tokyo.

Anyone suggest any easy to travel to traditional temples/shrines, sites? Or any must see places?

I just looked up the Kanji for lock because I couldn't get the SKIM Lanugage interface to work right for the simple romanji (joo or Jō; lit meaning "a lock") to kanji (鍵; v.s.) So I went to WWWJDIC and did a search on it. I found a line that fit my purpose better (because I cannot lock a thread, so to be locked is more accurate) and used the line. The entry was as follows:

鍵を掛ける; 鍵をかける 【かぎをかける】 (exp) to lock [Ex][G][GI][S][A] [G][GI][S][A]

My sentence completeion in the Japanese Writting system is about null, but I did recongize the Kanji 鍵 which is lock. So I just went with what they had. I google translated it real quick to make certain the literal definition was remotely related, and it came up to "Key is to be used". Not exact, but close.

I checked into your phrase and it came up with this literal def:

The key handle [wa] one it is

Similar to my choice, if not the same. Meh, it's only ment to be an effect. I doubt very many people that come here would be able to read it, anyways.
