Hell, half the time that I wanna do mod work, I turn it to the members of the forum to decide, and follow the outcome of that; weighting in the rules, FAQ, and simple logic. When I can't get a second opinion on the subject, I don't take action. Of course, this is only true when something isn't obviously wrong---that is, standard rule violations.

Bleah, don't American movies dominate movies from other countries when it comes down to how much they're exported? Of course, that could just be because the world has no damned taste. XD

I personally love some American movies though:
Schindler's list...Star Wars and Jones' trilogies (not artsy, but fun. XD) I just watched "Nightmare Before Christmas" the other day too, and found it to be very nice. Ermmm, what else? A Beautiful Mind....uhmmmm....ehh...nothing else off the top of my head...

Though, on the whole, I probably enjoy Japanese entertainment the most, with their droves of beautifully drawn anime. <3

The only thing I've really watched from anywhere else is the Python stuff from our British friends, and some stuff I get on BBC. All of that is fun though. :3

Also, I didn't like either TFTF 1 or 2 because of what you mentioned. Too much of that "OMG WE'RE BADASS, DON'T LISTEN TO COPS LOLOLOL!~!!" crap for me. XD

I liked part three though; there was some "omg we're badass" stuff in it, but the film didn't take itself very seriously, so I enjoyed it anyway. Most of the time the movie was actually going "Heh, look how stupid 'cool' people actually look." The rest of the film had actual cool people, like that Japanese guy who was always eating snacks. XD

Nah, I get what you're saying, though I don't totally agree. I hated the "lol, I've got a MUSTANG!" crap at the end, as well as that stupid "I'm that wrestler guy, and I've been kicking ass in Japan forever!" thing The Rock did at the end. (Not because of American superiority so much though; mostly because it was stupid and pointless.) But yeah, besides those two things, I don't recall anything that made America look better than Japan. And it was a movie for an American audience. And all cool American males know Mustang's are the greatest thing ever. (I owned a mustang convertible at the time I saw the movie; I'd be lying if I didn't cheer a little on the inside, even if I hated myself for it. Outside too actually, since all my friends were with me, and they all loved my car. ;) ) As for the Rock thing, I think that was just a cameo more than anything else. A stupid cameo, but whatever. Heheh.
And most of the cooler characters were Japanese, like that kid who blew up. Or the mob boss. The American kid kind of sucked imo...

You also have to understand that this is only for Doe students and employees. We have a certain number of days we can have each year, and all the schools have to agree. Teacher contracts constrict hours so we can't have as many days as we want. National holidays aren't decided by us. Just like budget and school fairs, we're only allotted a certain amount. Problem is that most of the cultures situated here have different days, so we have to choose unbiased days to create holidays. it'd be a lot easier if we ignored our diversity or didn't have diversity. Regardless, things still run and the celebrations are mostly private, our government only sponsors a few choice events based on the preference of the current president and his public representation group.

You always seem to have time to go through so many dramatic situations Jaso, seems like your school should give you more work. I think as far as those holidays go, anymore and the rest of us would go insane from your presence -.-;
