Let's see here.

Concept: The Canadian dollar amounts to nothing, therefore the bracket price of a ps3 in reference to the US dollar is:
{500x | x is an element of a set of all real numbers positive and negative}

Theory: .:. applying this in the situation you can make a translation to the equation as the following:
Lim |x->inf| (500x) = No solution || 0 || indeterminate inf. (+)

Proof:

PT1: Assume there is a vending machine. If you insert a canadian coin, it takes the coin and returns it. Therefore, it would take an infinate amount of money to achieve any value. While the resulting value IS zero and the quantity used IS zero, economics defies this logic with its standard monetary policy (ie there is no such thing as infinate amount of money). Therefore it can be stated that the use of money in this equation is inapproprate and void, making the equation unsolveable in the physical realm.

PT2: In the metaphysical, there are two resulting responces, depending on personal orentation: 1) it would be free, because the money used is returned to yourself, though there isn't a resultant or 2) It would take an infinate supply of money to progress, because as 'x' grows infintessimally smaller, there is some positive value to it, regardless of how close it is to zero.

Solution: The PS3 will not be on sale in Canadian money.

Hemi is a brand or type of American car engine. The typical kind, with no technology, no technical advances compared to the 50'ies and they are very thirsty for petrol.

Luis
October 31st, 2006, 07:25 pm
Hemi..asfar as I know is not a brand...its a class...like say..engines with pistons that oppose each other...

I will look further into the matter before pointing any fingers.

[Edit]

Hemi on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemi)

Hemi (from "hemisphere") or "crossflow cylinder head" is a design of internal-combustion engines in which the cylinder head's combustion chamber is of hemispherical form. The term, "Hemi engine" is a trademark of Chrysler Corporation, though the concept is used by many manufacturers.......
.........The hemispherical combustion chamber design puts the intake/exhaust valves in-line, rather than side-by-side, allowing for better flow of air through the head (although the inlet and exhaust valves are not simultaneously open and there is no continuous flow). The spark plug in the center of the chamber makes for better ignition of the fuel/air mixture. These aspects help make the hemi-type engine more efficient and powerful, and less prone to engine knock.

Normal and Hemi engines compared:

:think:
Angelic..hate to be persistent, but I would hate for people to get the wrong idea of stuff...and become misinformed fanboys/gals.
(maybe I just feel like having a discussion)

Heres some stuff I found:

http://www.allpar.com/model/jeep/grand-cherokee-2005.html

The 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine replaces the 4.7 liter High-Output V8, providing best-in-class power along with better gas mileage, thanks to the multi-displacement system which shuts off half the cylinders when they are not needed. The speed of the system (switching in .04 seconds) makes its operation imperceptible, while raising gas mileage by up to 20% - and that's in addition to the increase coming from the Hemi's more efficient design. 90% of peak torque is available from 2,400 to 5,100 rpm.

Now as far as I know this feature was firs "toyed with" back in the 70s (Cadillac division of GM)

[Edit] Theres this graph in there that compares engines gas mileage...couldn't link as image, sorry.

Still petrol guzzling lotsa-power-no-brain engines.

You can squeeze 350 HP from a 1.3 litre rotary engine. Your heli engine wouldn't even get there at 2 litres.

Luis
October 31st, 2006, 08:17 pm
Maybe I took your comment the wrong way, (seemed like US bashing to me) so pardon if Im abit "gun ho" on the matter...still its rather intresting.

Also seems I was mistaken, the feature was first implemented back in 81 more info here:

http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?articleID=000F2BEF-ECD0-119B-ACD083414B7F0000

Automakers have tried this solution in the past. Unfortunately, the first mass-production attempt--the ill-fated 1981 Cadillac V-8-6-4 engine--suffered from rough transitions between full and partial engine loads. Subsequent systems were more nimble but costly, limiting them to luxury cars such as recent Mercedes-Benz S-Class models. Since then, the necessary electronic throttles and computers have gotten much cheaper.

What do Americans pay per gallon? one dollar? That would be about 30 cents per litre then (actually even less but details details). That's about 27 eurocents then, in the Netherlands we pay around €1.50 per litre. So no, americans are still in no position to complain, even if they paid three dollars per gallon.

I know hardly anything of Rotary engines (as a matter of fact I only know of the Rx-7 and 8 using them)

Heres some info I could find. (Not trying to prove anything...just w/e)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wankel_engine

NOTE: I only skimmed over the article..so please dont take my words as fact and check for yourself.

Advantages:

Lighter
Less moving parts
Smoother power transition
Higher RPM 9= more power)
Less likely to overheat

Disadvantages:

heating and cooling cycles in use. These elements led to a very high incidence of loss of sealing

Further engineering work by Mazda brought these problems under control, but the company was then confronted with a sudden global concern over both hydrocarbon emission and a rise in the cost of gasoline, the two most serious drawbacks of the Wankel engine.

That makes me think its not that efficient...but I have no numbers (nunbers would be great if anyone can find em)

Shape leads to unburned hydrocarbons being released into exaust

Mazda avoided the cost of catalityc converters ...... producing clean exaust at extra fuel consumption.

Unfortunately for Mazda, their switch to this solution was immediately followed by a sharp rise in the cost of gasoline worldwide, so that not only the added fuel cost of their 'thermal reactor' design, but even the basically lower fuel economy of the Wankel engine caused sales to drop alarmingly.

I assume lower to mean worse...again I could be mis interpreting.

US: http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/wrgp/mogas_home_page.html

Around $2.20 a Gallon (just looked at numbers and made a rough estimate)

Acording to the graph the price in the states has fallen from what they paid a year ago!

http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/

Netherlands = $6.50 a Gallon
Venezuela = $0.12 a Gallon

However Gas price is Irrelavent to what I was arguing...you called out "american" engineering and made it sound like it was stuck in the 50s...

[Edit]

The main factor in price disparities between countries is government policy, according to AirInc, a company that tracks the cost of living in various places around the world. Many European nations tax gasoline heavily, with taxes making up as much as 75 percent of the cost of a gallon of gasoline, said a spokesperson for AirInc.

In a few Latin America and Middle-East nations, such as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, oil is produced by a government-owned company and local gasoline prices are kept low as a benefit to the nation's citizens, he said. All prices updated March, 2005.

US: http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/wrgp/mogas_home_page.html

Around $2.20 a Gallon (just looked at numbers and made a rough estimate)

Acording to the graph the price in the states has fallen from what they paid a year ago!

http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/

Netherlands = $6.50 a Gallon
Venezuela = $0.12 a Gallon

[Edit]

In the case of musclecars, yeah. big engine + lots of petrol = lots of power. Of course Americans have proper engines (Ford has good stuff on the market, over here anyway).

I know hardly anything of Rotary engines (as a matter of fact I only know of the Rx-7 and 8 using them)

Heres some info I could find. (Not trying to prove anything...just w/e)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wankel_engine

American muscle cars still use twice as much as an average rotary engine.

Still, the best thing would be if everyone used diesel engines, they are up to 5 times as fuel efficient compared to those american petrol guzzlers (20:1 instead of 4:1) and with the proper filtering they're even cleaner than petrol engines (diesel engines have the reputation of being dirty so companies like toyota and honda put a lot of effort in making their diesel engines clean). Combine that with an electric motor like in the prius or civic hybrid and you could get cars that drive 30 kilometers on one litre of fuel. Especially big cars like trucks (they actually use petrol for freight trucks in America, that's so stupid) would gain from using Diesel engines, because the torque of a diesel engine is much higher. Next to that Diesel engines run at lower RPM than petrol engines, resulting in a longer lifespan, perfect for vehicles that drive long distances.

But you know what, Porsche owns all live! Flat six baby, Woo Hoo!

Ferrari's moto is quit like that of the american muscle car moto "
add more horse power" while Porsche is more "refine and use technology to get the most power out of your horses."

Yeah, Diesel isnt popular in the states, (I've heard wonders about it tho) that has actualy never made sense to me.

The number ten is the start of a whole new order of numbers and the culmination of the numbers that come before it. This may seem to be merely a distinction given to ten under our decimal numbering system. However the numbering systems in use in the time that the Bible was written were also based upon the number ten. A look at the number values assigned to the Hebrew and Greek letters in the table shown in the introduction Hebrew and Greek numerics will show that the letters were given values from one to ten, then increasing in tens to 100 then increasing by 100's and so on. Furthermore numbering by tens is built in to our very anatomy, count up on your fingers and when they are all used, make a mark on a piece of paper and start from your first finger again. Soon you will have a number of marks, each representing 'two hands' worth. Thus in ancient times as in modern times ten is the start of a whole new order of numbers and the culmination of the numbers that come before it.

Thus wherever ten is found this completeness of order is also seen. Ten implies completeness of order, nothing lacking and nothing over. It signifies that the cycle is complete and that everything is in its proper order. Thus ten represents the perfection of divine order.

Ten is the first of the triangular numbers which has a center. A triangular number is one that can be arranged into a perfect equilateral triangle. Start with a single counter (coin, marble, or indeed anything, but round objects work best). Then add a row of two under it to form a triangle. Thus three is a triangular number, but has no center. Then add a row of three under that, thus six is a triangular number but also has no center. Add a row of four underneath and we have a triangle of ten, which has a center. The central counter of the "ten" triangle is the fifth. The progression of triangular numbers continues on to infinity. It turns out that every third triangular number has a central position. However ten is the only on in which the central position is occupied by the half of the total number. Thus among triangular numbers ten is marked as unique and special. Starting with the number one, ten is the fourth triangular number. Thus ten partakes to some extent of the symbolic meaning of the number four, the number of the world. It is our natural, physical bodies with ten fingers and toes that make it "natural" to use a counting system based upon tens.

Symbolic meanings are..............................I've got nothing...

std::cout -

cout is a standard defined variable for terminal output streams. Thus by typing cout<<"constant_text\Number" or cout<<variable it will print that information.

std is a funky little namespace that Microsoft requires you to use in order to use the I/O streams. It can be bypassed by typing using namespace std; at the top of your code when including linker libraries.

well i think this post is needed after last night x_x

last night I drank 8 double vodka redbulls with 12 shots. I was wasted. I did some silly things that i slightly regret but you don't really care when your drunk. as for some one saying dont drink and drive that wont be a problem because I dont drive. I mentioned about being drunk for ds. well i should of said chrisArmadillo because he was the 1 with the counter. lol good to know there's still love in the forums

[23:26] <Wolfgoddess> shut up you mother fucking lard ass who doesnt know that he was born from a gay ass ho

Your tiny little brain cannot even comprehend the meaning of the word "gay" so why do you use it? Using it in your context, the word "gay" only refers to yourself, because you're an utter moron who has a brain the size of a tiny little grain of salt that's on top of that malfunctioning.

You sir, should shut your fucking piehole.

Guess who wins :shifty:

you weren't blocked...msn is being weird :mellow:
I would never block you!
that's just rude

Luis
November 1st, 2006, 11:09 pm
Man, MSN hates X?
XD I dont like to block people...its much more fun to tell em to fsck off.

Sephiroth
November 1st, 2006, 11:11 pm
yea but sometimes you got to be strict and just block them. although i do like msn live because you can just appear offline. on the other hand when you have enough of some 1 rather than you block them its much more fun to get on their nerves soo much until they block you instead

Eternal
November 1st, 2006, 11:16 pm
