Herm, do you recomend winamp M? [im asking you because you will know the facts...]. I've been using the new version of windows media player, but i would like something smaller now...

Erm... my os doesn't really support winamp anymore. XMMS is the next closest thing that I use now, but that's not what you asked for.

But when I did run winamp, I liked how low profile it was and how it could become even lower in profile with skins and plugins. It works for directshow filtering so you can play anything in it, so long as you have a codec. If I wasn't running winamp, I was running Media Player Classic (which is not really an audioplayer, but it sometimes launched faster).

Windows media player was nice, but it seems to have too much overhead. It took a while to load and its ID3 tag system was a pain in WMP9/10 interface. The one thing that I did like about WMP was the automatic codec download support. It took the jargon out the window for a lot of audio/video formats and made it PnP.

But for an audioplayer, in general, on a windows platform, I used Winamp.

Oh yay okay. I'm getting it now.

I was really interested in winamp because of its skin feature, which I like [a lot of really nice ones in deviantart].

I do have to say though, the customer service I got with Apple was amazing! I had broken my screen on my iPod and I sent a request in for a repair. The next day, I got the shipping box to send it to the other side of the US (California) and in 2 days I had a brand new iPod, free of charge. I was at least expecting it to take two weeks and have to pay at least a hundred buck for the repair, but that all was free. So, the iPod has it's ups and downs.

Glomp is a term often used by anime fans, most often used on IRC. and in other news...i officially took a test which was impossible to fail as there were only 3 questions we had to answer and he was like...there's supposed to be 25 questions but due to all the snow we've only been able to cover 3 of them...so i'll give you credit for the other 22 but you'll be responsible for the material on the final...i.e. automatic 22 points=88 is the lowest percentage grade i can get XD
